Rescue team from Pakistan forgets to rescue people stuck under debris in Turkey after they find huge amount of flour and breads

Islamabad: Pakistan government quickly responded to requests for international assistance after the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Initially, Pakistan govt decided not to take loan from Turkey until next month to help Turkey, however, after being criticised by other countries, Pakistan sent search and rescue teams to Turkey.

Reportedly, the Pakistan rescue team ended up searching something else. Turkey reporter claims that the rescue team from Pakistan forgets to rescue people stuck under debris in Turkey after they find huge amount of flour and breads under a collapsed restaurant.

Turkey leading news paper, Hürriyet Daily News, reported the incident with the headline “Pakistan sent search and rescue teams to search relief materials in Turkey“.

Speaking to The Fauxy, one Pakistan rescue team member said “We have been sent here saying that the situation in Turkey is grave, but upon reaching here we believe rescue teams from other countries should be sent to Pakistan because situation there is more grave, people are dying of hunger”

Indian fact-checkers says the pPakistani rescue team member’s claim is misleading as Pakistan was ranked above India and many other countries in Global Hunger Index.

Andhra Pradesh to witness huge spike in investments next month: Minister

    [ad_1]

Velagapudi: Minister Chelluboina Venugopala Krishna praised chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for creating industrial-friendly policies and succeeding in attracting investors to the state.

He was speaking to reporters during the investor summit in Visakhapatnam. He said, “Andhra Pradesh is the fastest-growing state in the country with a GSDP of 11.43% in 2021-22, which is 2.73% higher than the national growth rate. Even in covid times, when the Centre’s growth rate was declining at -6.6%, Andhra Pradesh recorded a positive growth rate of 0.08%. Another remarkable statistic is that Andhra Pradesh’s per capita income is 38.5% higher than the rest of the nation.”

He further said that ever since Jagan donned the chief minister’s hat, AP is ranked number one in the country in ease of doing business for four consecutive years.

“We are proud of what Andhra Pradesh has achieved despite what happened to us during bifurcation. We are a shining example of development despite the debts we are still paying off taking by the previous TDP regime,” he said.

Elaborating on CM Jagan’s extended support to the MSME (medium and small medium enterprises) sector, the minister said, “Andhra Pradesh is the only state to give wide market preference to MSMEs in all government procurements. CM Jagan government has extended a restart package to MSMEs to overcome the financial crisis that kicked off during the COVID-19 crisis.”

  • Honest govt, safe environment garner huge investments in UP: Piyush Goyal

Honest govt, safe environment garner huge investments in UP: Piyush Goyal

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Sunday said due to the “honest government and safe environment” in Uttar Pradesh, there are huge commitments towards investment.

Addressing the Uttar Pradesh global investors summit in Lucknow on its last day, the commerce minister said that there have been commitments of several lakhs of crores rupees by investors during the summit.

“It is the proof that the people now believe that it is now easy to invest in the state, that the state has an honest system, that law and order is in place and the investors have invested their faith in the people of the state,” Goyal noted.

Uttar Pradesh, he added, was an emerging ecosystem state in 2020 but in the 2021 ranking, it was a leader in the start up ecosystem.

There are 8,277 start ups in the state, Goyal informed further.

He said that India signed three important free trade agreements last year and this year also “we were hoping to sign two or three pacts, which will open the doors for the breweries and wineries of the state as they will get market access, investments and technologies.”

A recent increase in exports and in the number of start ups in Uttar Pradesh shows the immense possibilities for investors, Goyal added.

Earlier on Saturday, the state’s chief minister Yogi Adityanath had said that through the summit, investments worth Rs 33 lakh crore had been garnered.

The summit had begun on February 10.

  • Scientists shocked after huge piece of Sun breaks off

Scientists shocked after huge piece of Sun breaks off

    [ad_1]

The Sun’s North Pole was surrounded by a tornado-like whirl when a large chunk of its surface broke off. Even though researchers are working to understand how it happened, the video of the event has shocked the space community.

The extraordinary occurrence was captured by NASA’s James Webb telescope and announced last week on Twitter by space weather forecaster Dr. Tamitha Skov. Scientists are particularly concerned about the most recent development since the Sun continues to release solar flares (also known as prominences) that can occasionally interfere with communications on Earth.

“Talk about Polar Vortex! Material from a northern prominence just broke away from the main filament & is now circulating in a massive polar vortex around the north pole of our Star. Implications for understanding the Sun’s atmospheric dynamics above 55 degrees here cannot be overstated!” Dr Skov said in a tweet last week.

The prominence, as defined by NASA, is a big luminous feature extending from the Sun’s surface. Although there have been other incidents of this kind, the scientific community is baffled by this one.

“Additional measurements of the #SolarPolarVortex show that material travelled around the pole at a latitude of about 60 degrees in about 8 hours. This suggests that 96 kilometres per second, or 60 miles per second, is the upper bound for the assessment of the horizontal wind speed in this occurrence.” Dr. Skov stated in a later tweet.

A chunk of the prominence broke off and was whipped into the solar atmosphere, causing a “vortex” that had never been seen before, according to solar physicist Scott McIntosh of the US National Centre for Atmospheric Research, who has been watching the Sun for decades.

Now that the weird occurrence has occurred, space experts are investigating it to learn more about it and paint a clearer picture. Despite being constantly watched, our favourite star continues to surprise us with unexpected events like the numerous strong flares this month that interfered with contact on Earth.

The most powerful earthquake to strike Turkey and Syria in nearly a century killed over 2,600 people on Monday, sparked frantic rescues and was felt as far away as Greenland. The 7.8-magnitude early morning quake, followed by dozens of aftershocks, wiped out entire sections of major Turkish cities in a region filled with millions who have fled Syria’s civil war and other conflicts.

Various governments and international organisations have responded with offers of support after an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 struck central Turkey and northwest Syria.

Seeing Turkey getting huge international support, millions of Pakistanis came together to create a fake earthquake scenario. The Pakistanis held the random object and started vibrating fanatically. The Pakistanis demanded international support from the various countries and organisations.

Thousand of Pakistanis injured themselves in this attempt of creating fake earthquake scenario. However, Pakistanis forgot to shake the richter scale.

Those Who Have Grabbed Huge Chunk Of Land Illegally Must Not Be Spared: Azad

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Democratic Azad Party (DAP) Chairman and former J&K chief minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday said that those who have grabbed a huge chunk of land must not be spared in the ongoing anti-encroachment drive across the Union Territory.

Quoting Ghulam Nabi Azad news agency KNO reported that in democracy, nobody can suppress the voices of people.

While welcoming the statement of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, he asked his party workers to end their agitation as LG has assured that poor will not be touched.

“We are in favour of the government’s step against those who have grabbed a huge chunk of land illegally. We urge the government not to touch people who have set up their business units or shops on just one or two marlas of land so that they are not forced to starve,” he said.

He added such measures are certainly not aimed at getting political benefits, but would go against the incumbent government that has done a tremendous job on ground by putting an end to stone pelting, giving a boost to tourism sector and other related things.
