Kupwara, Apr 27 (GNS): A 9-year-old boy was killed after allegedly hit by a motorcycle in Mughalpora area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
An official told GNS that one Abrar Ahmad Qureshi son of Farooq Ahmad Qureshi, resident of Batpora Haihama was critically injured after hit by a motorcycle this afternoon at Parraynard Mughalpora.
The boy, the official said, was removed to SDH Kupwara, where he was declared as brought dead on arrival.
The police has taken cognisance into the incident for due investigations. (GNS)
SRINAGAR: Late on Wednesday night, a pedestrian was injured after being hit by a speeding vehicle at Karlhar in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
An official reported that a Mini Bus (Eicher) with registration number JK05A-3696, driving from Kanispora towards Baramulla, collided with the pedestrian at Karlhar Baramulla. The pedestrian, identified as Ab Rashid Zargar (57), son of Ab Rehman and a resident of Karlhar Baramulla, was seriously injured in the incident.
The injured person was initially taken to GMC Baramulla by locals, and later referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The incident has been registered and an investigation is currently underway. (KS)
Mumbai: Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is all set to release on the eve of Eid. One of the top popular actor in India, Jagapathi Babu plays the role of the prime antagonist in Farhad Samji’s film. As the movie is talked about everywhere, Jagapathi revealed in an interview recently that Salman Khan was initially hesitant about hitting him on the sets.
Yes, in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Jagapathi Babu said, Salman makes everything simple. He said that Bhaijaan guides everyone on the sets and no one feels intimidated by him at all because he doesn’t make you feel that way.
The report in the HT quoted him saying about Bhaijaan, ”He makes it so simple. He guides you. You don’t feel intimidated by him at all because he doesn’t make you feel that way. In fact, we were supposed to have a fight (scene) but due to covid and dengue, we couldn’t, bad luck.”
”There was no reservation regarding the role. Bhai wanted me to dye my hair black and look younger. This is because he has this logic and said ‘I can’t fight a person who is older than me.’ So. we had to do that and nothing else. It wasn’t a reservation but something that the character needed, ‘he added.
Talking about how he became part of the film, Jagapathi Babu said that Gunjalkar who is with Salman Khan is a major instrument for it. He further said that he doesn’t see much of a difference between the South and Bollywood film. He said, “I really didn’t find much of a difference honestly. It was cooler…there was no pressure at all, like money pressure, and budget pressure. It went smoothly. I can’t generalise and say that for all Bollywood (films) but only for this project.”
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is set to hit the screens on April 21, Friday on the occasion of Eid this year.

17 year old Girl dies After Hit By Moving Train, ‘While Taking Selfie’, in Srinagar
Srinagar, Apr 17 : A 17 year old girl died after she was fatally hit by a moving train ‘while taking selfie’ in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district this afternoon, officials said.
They told GNS that a 17 year old girl (name withheld) resident of Shankarpora Srinagar was hit by the train when she alongside a child was taking selfie close to a track at Manchowa along Srinagar-Budgam railway lane.
She was fatally injured in the incident, leading to her instant death, the officials said.
Confirming the death of the woman, a police official told GNS that they are ascertaining the details into the incident.
“The child accompanying the woman is however safe”, the official said. (GNS)
Srinagar, Apr 17: A woman died after she was hit by a moving train while taking selfie in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Monday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the train hit the woman between Srinagar and Budgam junction, while she was taking selfie with her child.
Srinagar, April 16 (GNS): At least six people had a miraculous escape after five vehicles came under a massive avalanche near Zojila in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir on Sunday.
Official sources told GNS that the avalanche hit the area late in the afternoon, trapping five vehicles with two persons boarding one of them and one person each in others. Immediately a massive rescue operation was launched, they said.
Confirming it, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal said that all six occupants in five vehicles have been rescued.
“Thankfully, there is no casualty reported,” he added. (GNS)

At an unrelated press conference Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland said the leak of the classified documents is “not just about taking home documents” but rather about “both the unlawful retention and the transmission of the documents.”
“People who sign agreements to be able to receive classified documents acknowledge the importance to the national security of not disclosing those documents,” Garland said, “and we intend to send that message, how important it is to our national security.”

Mumbai: Brace yourselves, for Salman Khan is returning as the lead player in a theatrical film after a four-year break. The release of the ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ trailer, naturally, had to be a big-ticket affair and it did turn out that way on Monday.
The trailer features Salman as the ‘bhai’ of the masses and ‘jaan’ of families with an action-packed treat.
It kicks off with Salman reciting the opening sholka of the ‘Bhagavad Gita’ and deep dives into the budding romance between Bhai and his leading lady on screen, Pooja Hegde, transitioning immediately into an action saga with “face-breaking, bone-cracking, neck-twisting, hammer-hitting action”.
The trailer is over three minutes in length and boasts of all aspects of a commercial formula-led Hindi film. It has bits of family emotions, comedy, romance, drama, music, and of course, action.
It rests heavily on Salman’s shoulders, who does most of the heavy-hitting. It also comes across as a mix of previous Salman Khan films such as ‘Wanted’ (pay attention to the train action sequence), ‘Jai Ho’ (the whole talk about non-violence) and, of course, over-the-top action, which is the staple of Salman Khan films.
Scheduled to hit the big screen on April 21, coinciding with Eid, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ is a Hindi action drama directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman Khan Films.
It features Salman Khan and Telugu stars Venkatesh, Pooja Hegde and Jagapathi Babu in the lead roles with an ensemble supporting cast, extending from ‘Bigg Boss’ alums Shehnaaz Gill and Abdu Rozik to Salman’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ co-star Bhagyashree.
