Gyanvapi or Shahi Masjid will be demolished before 2024 elections

My dear friend Irfan Ali ( email irfan79@gmail.com ) who lives and works in Princeton, New Jersey, USA has prompted me to write this article. Evidently Irfan was put off by my article that the newly formed alliance of 28 opposition parties called INDIA ( Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance ) is a stunt

In response to my article Irfan wrote angrily on whatsapp :
” It appears that you don’t want an opposition in India? What would take you to support a strong opposition to fight this authoritarian demagogue? Should there be no opposition in India at all ? You seem more into Pakistan politics when your own system is screwed up. INDIA is a combination of 28 parties but NDA has 36. Who is doing a stunt? ”.
    To which I responded :
” I have never said I don’t want an opposition, so don’t twist my words. Of course I want an opposition, but the meaningful opposition can’t be within the system of parliamentary democracy, but can only be by a historical united people’s revolutionary struggle led by modern minded leaders determined to rapidly modernize and industrialise the country. I have explained this in detail in many of articles, which u may see ”.
I had earlier written an article that BJP will win the coming Lok Sabha elections in India in 2024.

Irfan thinks that INDIA can help in ousting BJP from power. I totally disagree.

What I foresee is this : a few months or a few weeks before the 2024 parliamentary elections the Gyanvapi mosque in Varanasi, or the Shahi Masjid in Mathura will be demolished by a huge mob of fanatics ( just as the Babri Masjid was demolished ).

    Gyanvapi and Shahi Masjid

This will generate an emotional wave all over India, on the basis of which BJP will easily win ( never mind how many people will be killed or other ‘collateral damage’ done in the backlash ).
Most Indians are emotional, not rational, and they vote accordingly not on real issues like poverty, unemployment, hunger, lack of healthcare, price rise, etc. For instance, in 1962 the Indian army invaded Goa, and soon thereafter parliamentary elections were held, in which Congress swept the polls, with people in a victory mood. After Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984 parliamentary elections were held, and in the sympathy wave Congress secured a record over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha.

The BJP came to power in 1998 and in 1999 because of the fervour generated by the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation.

On 26th February 2019 the Indian Air Force conducted a ‘surgical strike’ in Balakot in retaliation to the Pulwama attack on 14th February which was attributed to Pakistan trained terrorists. Two months thereafter, and in a martial hysteria ( with the slogan ‘Pakistaniyon ko ghar mein ghus ke maara hai’ ), parliamentary elections were held in India in April-May 2019, in which BJP won with an increased majority.

The Babri Masjid was demolished in December 1992 when Congress was in power in the centre, and despite an undertaking given in the Suprême Court by UP Chief Minister Kalyan Singh of the BJP that it would not be demolished.

So undertakings mean nothing, and now both Central & State Governments are of the BJP.
So a huge mob of fanatics will very likely demolish either Varanasi or Mathura mosque, with the police turning a Nelson’s eye.
Then in that emotional surge and communal passions elections will be held.

Hindus ( who are 80% of India’s population ) will be told to celebrate victory over the Muslim devils who broke our temples and committed other atrocities on us, and elections will then be held in this surcharged atmosphere, leading to a BJP victory, and with INDIA going up the chimney..
I am not approving this, but I can foresee this happening.

BJP has been in power since 2014. Will it easily give up power ? No, it will resort to every ‘saam, daam, dand, bhed’ i.e. Machiavellian tactic ( as Congress had earlier done for decades ). All is fair in love and war, as the saying goes, and politics is war.

History shows that the wars for the throne of Delhi have been ruthless, and so will be the 2024 elections.
I am afraid Irfan is living in a dreamworld

Gyanvapi mosque case: SC records assurance for arrangements for wuzu on Eid

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday recorded the assurance given by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta that Varanasi district administration will provide sufficient water facilities to the devotees performing ‘wuzu’ (ablution) in Gyanvapi mosque.

A bench, headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud and comprising Justice P.S. Narasimha said: “We record the statement of the Solicitor General that in order to facilitate the performance of wuzu, the District Magistrate shall ensure that there are sufficient number of tubs and facilities of water made available in proximity so…..no inconvenience is caused to the devotees who come for performing namaz”.

During the hearing, Mehta submitted that toilets have been 70 metres away from the place, but they are asking for these facilities inside the premises of the mosque.

    MS Education Academy

Senior advocate Huzefa Ahmadi, appearing on behalf of the Committee of Management of the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid, submitted that the disputed area had been in use by Muslim worshippers for years for the purpose of wuzu. He stressed that this is the last Friday just before Eid.

The bench queried Mehta as why can there be no arrangements made for Friday and Saturday? Mehta responded that it is not possible because the entry to the bathroom is through the disputed area where the purported ‘Shiva Linga’ or according to them, a fountain is located and emphasised that the toilets are just 70 metres away.

Ahmadi questioned why should Muslim worshippers be forced to go outside the premises for the purposes of doing wuzu? Mehta replied that it is not wuzu, rather he was talking about the toilet facilities and assured that water will be provided to the Muslim worshippers for the performance of wuzu, and that there are six tubs.

The bench stressed that to facilitate the performance of ablution, long tubs should be provided. Mehta emphasised that authorities will provide sufficient water in order to ensure that everyone can perform wuzu.

In November last year, the apex court had extended the protection of the area inside Gyanvapi mosque where a “Shiv Linga” was found till further orders.

The top court had said the interim order, passed in May 2022, will remain in operation till further orders.

Committee of Management Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Varanasi, in its plea, contended the ablution area of the mosque where the “said object” has been found which, the petitioner maintains, is in fact a part of an old fountain. The plea further added that it was sealed by the district authorities and remains sealed till date, and the washroom alongside the same also remains sealed.

The plea contended that it has created inconvenience for the worshippers where they are deprived of the wuzukhana needed for offering namaz as well as the washroom. It pointed that the door to access the washroom was through the ablution area and the same remains sealed.

Provide wuzu facilities at Gyanvapi: SC to Varanasi collector

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday asked the Varanasi district collector to hold a meeting for providing “congenial” working arrangements for ‘wuzu‘ (ritual ablution) for Muslim devotees at the Gyanvapi mosque complex.

A bench comprising Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud and justices P S Narasimha and J B Pardiwala was apprised by Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Uttar Pradesh government, that the meeting would be held on Tuesday and the decision will be implemented for providing facilities for wuzu‘ on the premises.

The court was hearing a plea by the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid committee seeking permission for ‘wuzu‘ at the mosque complex in Varanasi during the month of Ramzan.

    MS Education Academy

The top court referred to its order of May 20 last year where it had directed that facilities for wuzu’ and washrooms be provided to devotees following the sealing of certain areas inside the premises.

“The solicitor general assures the court that a meeting shall be convened tomorrow by the district collector so that a congenial working arrangement is provided,” the bench noted in the order.

The bench also recorded the statement of the mosque management committee that it will be satisfied if even mobile toilets are provided.

The court has now posted the matter for further hearing on Friday and directed that the solution if found in the meeting, can be implemented in the meanwhile and a formal order may be passed on the next date of hearing.

The apex court had on November 11 last year extended till further orders the protection of the area where a ‘Shivling’ was claimed to have been found.

Senior advocate Huzefa Ahmadi, appearing for the Masjid committee, requested the bench to take up the matter for hearing soon, saying the month of Ramzan is underway and adequate arrangements should be made.

He had said the water for ‘wuzu‘ is being used from a drum and the number of worshippers has increased in view of Ramzan.

Varanasi: SC to hear plea for ‘Wuzu’ at Gyanvapi mosque on April 14

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to examine on April 14, a plea for alternative arrangement for ‘wuzu’ for worshippers at Gyanvapi mosque, Varanasi. The plea said that due to Ramazan, the number of worshippers have increased.

Senior advocate Huzefa Ahmadi mentioned the matter on behalf of Muslim side before a bench headed by Chief Justice of India D.Y. Chandrachud.

The bench told Ahmadi that this is a procedural issue. The counsel requested the court to hear the matter on Monday and said “the water for wuzu is being used for a drum. There are more worshippers due to Ramazan.”

    MS Education Academy

He further added that he is insisting because of Ramzan. However, the Chief Justice said it would be difficult for Justice Surya Kant, who was part of the earlier bench, to join for hearing. After hearing brief submissions, the bench said it will hear the matter on April 14.

In November last year, the apex court had extended the protection of the area inside Gyanvapi mosque, where a ‘Shivling’ was found, till further orders.

The top court had said the interim order passed in May 2022, in connection with the protection of the area inside Gyanvapi mosque where a ‘Shivling’ was found, during a survey, will remain in operation till further orders.

Gyanvapi ‘Shivling’: Allahabad HC slams ASI for not filling report on carbon dating

    [ad_1]

Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court (HC) has slammed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Director General (DG), V. Vidyavathi for her failure to file a reply, giving an opinion as to whether a safe evaluation of the age of the Shivling-like structure, purportedly found inside the Gyanvapi mosque complex in Varanasi in May last year, can be done or not.

Justice Arvind Kumar Mishra was hearing a revision petition filed by Laxmi Devi and three others, who challenged the Varanasi court’s order of October 14, 2022.

They had sought a HC direction to the ASI to conduct a scientific probe of the Shivling-like structure through carbon dating and ground penetrating radar (GPR).

    MS Education Academy

Justice Mishra called the ASI official’s attitude “lethargic” and said inaction had hampered the court proceedings.

However, the court gave the ASI DG a last opportunity to file a counter-affidavit in the case by April 17, the next date of hearing.

The HC observed, “Certainly, this lethargic attitude on the part of the Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, is highly deplorable and such practice must be deprecated. The desired report has not been submitted as directed since November 2022.”

“A high authority holding post of Director General, Archaeological Survey of India, controlling particular administration all over the country must know the seriousness of the matter and ought to respect the orders of the court, primarily of higher courts,” the bench added.

The HC clarified that it will not permit any authority to occasion delay on the pretext of the submission of the desired report of the ASI.

Earlier, hearing the matter on November 5, the HC had issued a notice to the ASI, essentially asking the ASI DG, to give her opinion by November 21, 2022.

In its October 14 order, the Varanasi court had rejected Hindu worshippers’ plea for conducting a scientific probe of the Shivling-like structure, reportedly found inside Gyanvapi mosque complex on May 16, 2022.

The Hindu side has been calling the structure in question a Shivling, while the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee, which manages the Gyanvapi mosque, has been terming it a fountain.

Varanasi court issues notice to Akhilesh, Owaisi on Gyanvapi remark

    [ad_1]

Varanasi: The court of Additional District judge Anuradha Kushwaha has issued notices to defendants in the revision petition filed by a lawyer Hari Shankar Pandey.

They sought filing of a case against SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and others for their alleged remarks on the purported ‘Shivling’ found in the Gyanvapi mosque compound and alleged dirtying of its ablution pond by visitors.

Hari Shankar Pandey said: “After the court of additional chief judicial magistrate-V (MP-MLA) Ujjwal Upadhyaya rejected my plea on February 15, I filed a revision petition in the court of the district judge.

From the district judge court, the revision petition was transferred to the court of ADJ-IX. The court started the procedure of hearing the revision petition and served notices to all defendants.

“The court has fixed April 14 for next hearing.”

Gyanvapi ‘Shivling’: HC gives ASI last opportunity to clarify whether carbon dating will damage object

    [ad_1]

Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has granted the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) the last opportunity to file its response by April 5 clarifying whether the process of carbon dating will damage an object, claimed to be a “Shivling”, found inside the Gyanvapi mosque or safe evaluation of its age can be done.

The Hindu petitioners have claimed the object to be a “Shivling”. The claim was disputed by the Muslim side, which said the object was part of a “fountain”.

The court expressed its displeasure over non-filing of response by the ASI despite eight months’ time being given to it.

The court fixed April 5 for the next hearing.

The petitioners, Laxmi Devi and three others, have filed the present civil revision petition, challenging a Varanasi court order that had rejected the demand for carbon dating and scientific determination of the purported ‘Shivling’, found during a court-mandated survey of Gyanvapi mosque premises on May 16, 2022.

On Monday, when the case was taken up, the counsel for the ASI sought more time to file its response as according to him, the ASI has to obtain advice from other agencies as well.

Expressing displeasure over the delay in filing response, Justice Arvind Kumar Mishra observed, “The time extension application has already been given in the garb of obtaining advice from other agencies. Further time should not be sought by the ASI, as the ASI may take advice as it thinks appropriate by embarking upon a process which would expedite the matter. It should not be allowed to go on any further from April 5, 2023.”

The court also directed the trial court in Varanasi, where this case is pending, to fix the date in the trial after April 5.

The petitioners have challenged the Varanasi court’s order of October 14 last year, rejecting Hindu worshippers’ plea for conducting a scientific probe of the ‘Shivling’.

Carbon dating is a method of calculating the age of very old objects by measuring the amounts of different forms of carbon in them.

  • UP: UCC, Gyanvapi on agenda in Muslim personal law board meet; Owaisi to attend

UP: UCC, Gyanvapi on agenda in Muslim personal law board meet; Owaisi to attend

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLA) has called for an Executive Committee meeting tomorrow in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow.

The meeting is believed to be convened to discuss topics like Gyanvapi, Uniform Civil Code, and Religious Conversion, among others. “Future strategy will also be engineered in the said meeting,” AIMPLA Executive Member Qasim Rasool Ilyas told ANI.

The AIMPLA has 51 Executive members including All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi.

Board General Secretary Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, Asaduddin Owaisi, Arshad Madani etc., will attend the meeting.

Earlier, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju in Rajya Sabha told BJP MP Nishikant Dubey that a proposal to examine issues relating to Uniform Civil Code and make recommendations may be taken up by the 22nd Law Commission.

The minister told Dubey, who had raised the issue as a matter of urgent public importance on December 1 last year in Lok Sabha, that the proposal was referred to the 21st Law Commission but since its term has ended, the matter may be taken by the 22nd Law Commission.

Article 44 of the Constitution provides that the State shall endeavour to secure for the citizens a uniform civil code (UCC) throughout the territory of India.

“In view of the importance of the subject matter and sensitivity involved and it requiring an in-depth study of provisions of various personal laws governing different communities, a proposal to examine issues relating to uniform civil code and make recommendations has been forwarded to the 21st Law Commission of India,” Rijiju said in his letter.

Nishikant Dubey had urged the party-led central government to expedite the process to bring in a law to implement the Uniform Civil Code.

If implemented, UCC is likely to provide one law for the entire country, applicable to all religious communities in their personal matters such as marriage, divorce, inheritance, and adoption.

Allahabad HC grants bail to man who threatened to demolish Gyanvapi

    [ad_1]

Prayagraj: The Allahabad High Court has approved the anticipatory bail plea of Vishwa Hindu Sena general secretary, Digvijay Choubey, who had threatened to demolish the disputed Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi.

Besides approving the bail plea, the court also invoked a ban on his arrest. Digvijay Choubey had threatened to “make the condition of Gyanvapi like Babri”.

However, the anticipatory bail has been granted until the police file the chargesheet.

The bail plea was heard by Justice Subhash Chand Sharma.

In August 2022, Choubey had announced to perform religious rituals on the disputed premises. He also threatened to demolish the disputed premises. He was arrested after a case was filed against him at the Bhelupur police station in Varanasi.
