    SRINAGAR, MARCH 11: The Deputy Director Information PR Kashmir, Bilal Mukhtar Dar expressed grief and sorrow on the demise of Jabeena Akhtar, an international athlete from Treran Tangmarg of Baramulla district.

    Bilal Mukhtar prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family especially to her husband Khursheed Ahmad to bear this irreparable loss.

    He said she was courageous, talented and a master in her profession who played an important role to empower Kashmiri girls and bring up the hidden sportsmanship in them. She was an inspiration to Kashmiri girls, through her endeavours, to chase their dreams, he added.

    Express condolence assured free and impartial investigation in the matter

    Kupwara, Mar 2 (GNS): Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray along with SSP Kupwara, Yougal Manhas today visited the family of deceased Abdul Rasheed Dar at Kunan Poshpora in Kupwara district to pay their condolences.

    Both the dignitaries assured the family that investigation will be conducted in a transparent and impartial manner to bring it to a logical conclusion.

    On the occasion, the family members extended their gratitude towards District Administration for tracing out the mortal remains of deceased Abdul Rasheed Dar. The BDC Chairperson and local Sarpanchs and Panchs present on the occasion, equally extended their gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Kupwara and SSP Kupwara in handling the case.

    The family members also assured that they will not allow any antisocial elements to take undue benefit out of the unfortunate incident.(GNS)

    Atleast Eight Killed In Tragic Road Accident In Kishtwar’s Marwah, Saroori Grieved

    The former Minister of J&K, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, today expressed profound grief and shock over the tragic accident on Tatapani to Yurdoo road, in Marwah area of Kishtwar district, when a vehicle plunged down into a deep gorge, resulting in the death of eight passenger.

    The deceased has been identified as Mohd Amin son of Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh resident of Chanjer Marwah, Driver Umer Gani son of Abdul Gani Shah resident of Nowapachi Marwah, Mohd Irfan son of Mohd Ramzan Hajam resident of Qaderna Marwah, Afaq Ahmed son of Bashir Ahmed Hajam resident of Thachna Dachhan, Asia Banoo daughter of Mohd Younis resident of Yourdoo Mawah, Safoora Banoo daughter of Ghulam Rasool resident of Anjer Marwah, Muzamila Banoo daughter of Zahoor Ahmed Malik resident of Yourdoo Marwah and Mohsina Banoo daughter of Gulam Rasool resident of Anjer Marwah.

    In a statement, G. M Saroori extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. He prayed for peace for the souls of the deceased’s and much needed strength for the bereaved families.

    “I am deeply saddened by the news of the accident in which eight innocent persons passed away,” he said and prayed for peace to the departed souls besides this place for them in heaven.

    The former Minister of J&K demanded sanctioning of Rs. 10 lakhs ex-gratia relief to the kin of each of the deceaseds who were killed in a road accident in Marwah Kishtwar.
