Timing of Interview : 11:00 AM
Applications on prescribed format are invited from permanent resident/Domicile of UT of J&K, Non-PSC doctors who are eligible for the post of Junior Resident on tenure basis initially for a period of six (06) months extendable for further period on satisfactory performance under relevant rules. The forms can be had from the office of the undersigned on production of Bank Draft of Rs. 500 (Rupees Five Hundred Only) from the J&K Bank Limited pledged to the Principal Govt. Medical College, Rajouri.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :
The candidate must have done MBBS from any recognized institution and been registered with MCI/NMC or J&K Medical Council.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED WITH ATTESTED COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
1. MBBS certificate from 1st to final year MBBS.

2. Attempt certificate of 1st, 2nd, Pre-fmal and Final MBBS issued by concerned Universities.
3. MBBS degree and MCI/NMC or State Medical Council registration certificate
4. Internship completion certificate.
5. Distinction/National scholarship/Honours/Medals/Academic Merit Certificate if any.
6. House-job (Jr.) certificate issued by concerned Principal or Equivalent authority.
7. Date of Birth Certificate.
8. Permanent Resident Certificate/ Domicile Certificate.
9. FMGE certificate in case of MBBS degree from outside the country.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The selection of the candidates will be made as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government subject to amendment by the Govt, from time to time. Only those candidates who will have permanent registration certificate from the state Medical Council or MCI/NMC will be eligible for applying.
The final selection of candidates is subject to availability of vacancies at the time of interview. The decision of the selection committee in all matters would be final.
Other Conditions :
The appointee shall be required to submit an affidavit duly attested by the judicial Magistrate at the time of joining to the effect that he/she will not leave the residency mid-way and will serve for the tenure period of 06 months.
The appointees shall be paid salary in terms of S.O 364 of 2020 Dated: 27.11.2020.
Appointed/Serving Junior Resident intending to leave the Job shall have to provide one-month prior notice duly forwarded by the concerned HODs or else he/she shall have to deposit one month salary in the institution.
No experience certificate shall be issued for the tenure service of less than six (06) months.
No TA/DA shall be admissible for appearing in the interview.
This is without any prejudice to any writ petition pending before any Hon’ble Court.

GMC Anantnag Notification Regarding screening/written test for various Posts
It is hereby notified for information of all the eligible candidates that Govt. Medical College Anantnag is going to conduct screening/written test for various posts advertised vide Notification No. 23 GMCA of 2022, Dated: 10-12-2022, as per the details given in Annexure “A” to this Notice.
Candidates are advised to download the] Admit Cards from 15.032023, which shall! be made available on the official website of GMC Anantnag (www.gmcanantnagi net).
Candidates can download their Admit Cards from the website using Form 111 and Date of Birth.
In case of any difficulty in downloading issues related to Admit Card, candidates! may contact on 7780865591 or approval the office of undersigned.
Candidates are also advised to report examination centre one hour before schedule time along with Admit Card, ID Proof (original) and recent Passport size photograph. No such candidate shall be allowed to appear in the examination who do not meet the above-mentioned pre-requisites.
No electronic gadgets (Calculator, Mobil Phone, Smart Watch, Bluetooth devices etc.) shall be allowed in the examination centre. If any such device is found wit the candidate in the examination centre his/her candidature will be cancelled an legal action under rules will be initiate’ against him/her.

GMC Srinagar Hosts Qualitative Methodology Workshop In Biomedical Research

SRINAGAR: A two-day workshop was conducted by the Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College Srinagar on qualitative methodology in biomedical research from 9th to 10th March 2023 at GMC Srinagar which was inaugurated by Principal GMC Srinagar Prof. Masood Tanvir. The guest faculty included Dr. Archisman Mohapatra Executive Director of GRID Council, New Delhi, and Dr. Rajmohan Panda, Additional Professor, Public Health Foundation of India, New Delhi.
The topics which were dealt with during the workshop included qualitative research approaches, tools of data collection, analysis, in-depth interviews, focus group discussion, the difference between quantitative and qualitative research, mock exercises, and the way forward.
Principal GMC Srinagar on the Valedictory expressed his gratitude to the visiting faculty and emphasized adopting qualitative research wherever feasible in biomedical research.
Dr. S. Muhammad Salim Khan HOD Community Medicine GMC Srinagar and organizing chairman of the workshop said that after conducting fifteen three-day workshops on quantitative research, we found it imperative to sensitize doctors towards qualitative research and mixed-method approach towards the health and disease scenario in the community.
The certificates of participation and mementos were distributed during the Valedictory function chaired by Principal GMC Srinagar.

DAK Seeks Immediate Release of GMC Employees Salary
Srinagar, Mar 10 : Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) on Friday sought immediate release of salary of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar employees.
“It is unfortunate that the employees of GMC Srinagar are without salary for the last five months,” said DAK President Dr Nisar ul Hassan in a statement issued to GNS.
Dr Hassan said due to the non-payment of wages, employees and their families face immense hardships.
“They are not able to pay school fee of their children and can’t even buy their daily medicines. The employees are having a difficult time to even a daily bread,” he said.
The DAK President said the wages of employees have been withheld on the pretext that the employees have not uploaded one of their promotion orders on JKRM portal.
“The verification and updating of service records on portal is the responsibility of college authorities,” he said.
“Employees are working round the clock in hospitals and they should get their salaries. You can’t deny wages of hospital employees who put in their blood and sweat under difficult conditions to save sick and wounded,” said Dr Nisar.

“It is difficult for employees to work without salary and without wages they can’t deliver their services efficiently which adversely affects patient care,” he said.
Dr Arshad Ali General Secretary DAK said GMC employees are agitating for the last two days demanding the release of their salary.
“Government should redress their genuine demand immediately so that patient care doesn’t suffer,” he said. (GNS)

Single-lab Technicians, Allied Employees At GMC Srinagar Protest Over Non Disbursal of Salaries

Srinagar, Mar 9 (GNS): The Single lab technicians and employees of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar protested on Thursday against the hospital administration for withholding their salaries for last many months now.
The angry protesters chanted slogans against the hospital authorities for their lackadaisical approach towards their genuine grievance. “If everyone’s salary is being released, why are we being made to suffer?”, questioned the protesters, as per GNS.
They claimed that the hospital authorities were holding their salaries purportedly due to the fact that they have not submitted time bond orders. “The protesters further asked why the hospital authorities did not check their records, as they too are supposed to have a copy of the (bond order.)”
The protesters also pointed out that, many among them, had lost all their documents, including service books, in the 2014 flood. “Why is it that the GMC authority don’t have the records?”
“It has been fifty contact months for us and we have still not received our salary. We have also met with the hospital authorities on multiple occasions, but they have told go to LG Administration”, they said adding “We do not have any approach and it is the duty of the hospital authorities to provide us with our salaries” the protesters added.
“The government started a portal in the name of JKHRM and they uploaded all their documents there. Unfortunately, they were not able to upload their promotion order copies on the same, as the hospital authorities have not provided them with any such documents,” said a protester.
When contacted, Prof. Masood Tanvir, Principal GMC told GNS that they have taken the matter into consideration for an early redressal. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: Government on Thursday confirmed Prof Dr Masood Tanvir as Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar.
In an order issued by health and medical education department on Thursday, Dr Masood , Head of the department of Medicine, Government Medical College(GMC) Srinagar, was appointed as the Principal of GMC .
“Sanction is hereby accorded to the appointment of Dr Masood Tanvir Bhat, Professor & HoD Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar as Principal, Government Medical College, Srinagar, w.e.f. 03.11.2022 in Pay Level-15 (Rs. 182200-224100), ” the order said.
