Video: ‘Argentina football house’ gifted to Kerala farmer by UAE-based Indian bizman

An ‘Argentina Football House’ is making rounds on social media platforms as it was gifted by an United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Indian businessman to a farmer from Kerala whose unique commentary went viral during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Afi Ahmed, managing director of UAE-based Smart Travels, built the house for Zubair Vazhakkad, a farmer in Vazhakkad village in Kerala’s Malappuram district.
During the FIFA World Cup matches, Zubair’s commentary in a regional Malay accent became viral on social media. Despite not having professional qualifications, the farmer was familiar with all the teams and players.
When Afi learned of Zubair’s passion for soccer and his love for Messi and Argentina, the business tycoon offered to fly with Zubair to Qatar to watch his favorite games live.
However, Zubair had to decline the offer as he had to take care of his ailing family members. After this, Afi offered to restore Zubair’s dilapidated house and gifted him a house with an Argentinian theme.
“It is my dream home. I don’t have words to thank him,” Zubair was quoted as saying by Gulf News.

Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and interior designer Gauri Khan are one of the power couples in Bollywood.
It’s been over three decades since the couple exchanged vows and the parents to three children still remain one of the most loved, admired and talked about couples in Bollywood.

When a user asked about his first gift to Gauri Khan on their first Valentine’s Day, Shah Rukh said, “If I remember correctly it’s been what 34 years now… a pair of pink plastic earrings I think…”
As it’s Valentine’s Day today, one of the netizens asked SRK to reveal his first gift to Gauri on their first Valentine’s Day.

Shah Rukh first met Gauri in 1984, when he was all of 18, while Gauri was just 14. He bumped into her at a party where she was dancing with her friend. After Gauri spoke to him for ‘more than three seconds’, he felt ‘encouraged’ and wanted to date Gauri.

After dating for a couple of years, the two tied the knot on October 25, 1991.
Six years after their wedding, Gauri and Shah Rukh welcomed their first son, Aryan Khan, on November 13. Shah Rukh and Gauri’s daughter Suhana Khan was born on May 22, 2000, while their youngest, son AbRam Khan, was born on May 27, 2013, via surrogacy.

Musharraf gifted birth certificate during 2005 India visit

New Delhi: Pakistan’s former military ruler General Pervez Musharraf, the architect of the 1999 Kargil War, was born at a civic hospital in Delhi in undivided India.
He received his birth certificate over six decades later during his visit here in 2005.
Musharraf died in Dubai on Sunday at the age of 79 after battling an incurable disease. He lived in self-imposed exile in the UAE to avoid criminal charges against him in Pakistan.
Born on August 11, 1943, a turbulent time of the Second World War and India’s freedom movement had gained momentum, Musharraf migrated to the newly formed Pakistan with his family after the Partition in 1947.
According to old records, he was born at a civic-run hospital here, now known as the Mrs Girdhari Lal Maternity Hospital which comes under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
Located near the Kamla Market in the heart of Delhi, it is one of the oldest hospitals in the city and has served largely people residing in old Delhi.
“His (Musharraf’s) family lived in old Delhi, and two hospitals are near it — Victoria Zenana Hospital (renamed Kasturba Hospital after Independence) in Daryaganj and Girdhari Lal Maternity Hospital.
“We knew that he was born in Delhi, and today learned from news reports that he died in Dubai,” a former senior civic official told PTI.

When Musharraf visited India as Pakistan’s president in April 2005, the government of India had given him a special gift — his birth certificate.
The senior civic official, who retired in 2011, said, in the 1940s and even in 2005, things were birth and death records were kept manually. “It must not have been an easy job to look for the birth certificate of the 1940s after over 60 years,” he said.
According to an archival image dated April 17, 2005, Musharraf had received his birth certificate from the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi during his three-day visit to India.
Fulfilling his long-cherished desire, Musharraf also went to Ajmer Sharif during his 2005 India visit and paid obeisance at the Dargah of the famous Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti.
The neighbourhood in old Delhi where Musharraf grew up before moving to Karachi, had been visited by him and his mother in the past.
