Woman sitting in park dragged into car, gang-raped in Bangalore

Bengaluru: A young woman, who was sitting in a park with her male friend, was forcibly dragged into a car and gang-raped, police said on Friday.
The case has been reported in the Koramangala police station limits.
The police have arrested a gang of four persons in connection with the case. The arrested accused have been identified as Satish, Vijay, Sridhar and Kiran.

According to police, the incident took place late night of March 25. The young woman was sitting with her male friend at the National Games Village Park. The accused persons threatened her male friend and dragged her into the car.
The victim told police that she was gang-raped in the moving car. The police said that the accused drove the car to Domlur, Indiranagar, Anekal and Nice Road and committed the crime throughout the night.
The accused later left her near her residence in the early hours of March 26. After reaching home at 4 a.m, the victim was taken to a hospital, and later lodged a complaint with the police.

Woman gang-raped in Gurugram

Gurugram: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by a man and his friend here, police said on Saturday.
The incident happened on Thursday in a PG accommodation in sector 53, they said.
According to a complaint filed by the victim, the accused Gaurav Kashyap befriended her on Facebook around two years ago and they became close and he promised to marry her.
Soon after the woman discovered that Kashyap was already married, which led to arguments between them, police said.
On Thursday, Kashyap asked the woman to come to Gurugram on the pretext of court marriage. Later, he asked the woman to go with his friend Rajat to a PG accommodation saying that he had to meet an advocate, they said.
After reaching in the room, Rajat waited for Kashyap to come and they later raped the victim and beat her up, the woman said in her complaint.
An FIR under sections 376-D (gang-rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the India Penal Code was registered against the accused at sector 53 police station on Friday, SHO Amit Kumar said.
Efforts are on to nab the two accused, he said.

Agra: Missing girl, 15, returns home, suspected to be gangraped

Agra: A 15-year-old girl who had gone missing on Holi and traced on Friday was allegedly gangraped by unknown people, police here said.
According to a family member of the girl, she had left her home at around 2.30 Thursday to play Holi in the village, but did not return. Her family searched for her whole night, but she could not be found.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Hariparwat, Mayank Tiwari told PTI that a case had been registered under Section 376 (rape) and 308 (culpable homicide) of IPC and under the POCSO Act against unknown persons.
“An investigation is on and we will act accordingly. The girl is being treated at a government hospital in Agra,” Tiwari said.
The girl was spotted Friday morning by a milkman, who saw her struggling to get to the road from a jungle area.
The man identified the girl and informed her family members.
“We suspect that some unknown people had taken her to the jungle in a vehicle and gangraped her. She was brutally attacked and strangled. Her assailants left her assuming her dead,” claimed the father of the girl.

Dancer gang-raped after birthday party performance in UP

Unnao: A dancer called in to perform at a property dealer’s birthday party was gang-raped by six men in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district.
All the accused are absconding and a search operation has been launched to nab them, an official said.
According to the FIR lodged by the survivor, her team of three dancers was recruited to perform at the party in Deepak Nagar for Rs 6,000.
As she was leaving the event, six inebriated men abducted her in a car and raped her in a nearby jungle, the complaint said.
The survivor has alleged that she first approached the Jajmau police with her complaint, but they took no action.
Later, she approached the Kotwali police in Unnao Sadar, following which the accused were booked under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
Superintendent of Police (Unnao), Siddharth Meena, said that the survivor has undergone a medical examination to confirm charges of rape, while search operation has been launched to nab the accused.

MP: Tribal woman looking for job gangraped by three men in Gwalior

Gwalior: A 28-year-old tribal woman was gangraped allegedly by three persons in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, a police official said on Monday.
As per the woman’s complaint, she was looking for a job and a man offered her one at a stone crushing unit in Bilaua area, Additional Superintendent of Police Jairaj Kuber said.
“She said this man and two of his associates took her to an isolated place on February 4 and raped her. They let her go after threatening her. She filed a complaint the next day after reaching home,” he said.
Two persons have been arrested while efforts are on to nab the third, he added.

3-year-old girl gang-raped in Delhi, 2 held

New Delhi: A three-year-old minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by two men in a forest area in south Delhi, the police said on Friday.
According to a senior police officer, on Friday, a woman along with her three-year-old daughter came to Fatehpur Beri police station and lodged a complaint in this regard.
“In her complaint, the woman stated that her daughter went missing in the morning. While she was looking for her daughter, her neighbour told the woman that she had seen her daughter walking near the jungle area. The neighbour had also seen two persons going in the same direction towards the jungle area,” said the official.
After some time, the child was found crying.
“The complainant saw that her daughter was bleeding from her private part. When the woman asked her about what happened, the child kept on crying,” said the official.
“The woman told the incident to her husband and they reported the incident to the police station. The victim (child) has been sent for medical examination and treatment to AIIMS hospital,” the official added.
Police said that both the accused, who took the girl inside the jungle, have been apprehended, and an investigation was underway.
