KTR reached the district via chopper and inaugurated the expansion of the cement plant at Devapur Village which would provide direct and indirect employment to 4000 local people.

Established in 1979, Orient Cement was formerly, a part of Orient Paper & Industries. It was demerged in the year 2012 and since then, it began cement production in the year 1982 at Devapur in Adilabad District, Telangana.
Bellampalli MLA Durgam Chinnaiah, Telangana State Mineral Development Corporation chairman Krishank Manne and BRS leader Pushkar Rammohan Rao were present.

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 30: Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated Sant Eshwer Foundation’s premise in Udhampur and addressed the Annual Day Celebration of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Vidyalaya, today.
The Lt Governor lauded the Sant Eshwer Foundation for its immense contribution in the field of public service, and providing quality education to children from rural and marginalised community.
“Sant Eshwer Foundation, established by Shri Khairati Lal Khanna Ji, is caring for the poor and needy people in improving their livelihoods. Foundation run Bhartiya Vidya Mandir at Udhampur is empowering and improving educational status of Children of 20 villages,” said the Lt Governor.
The Lt Governor stressed upon the teaching community and the educational institutions for adopting a future-oriented, value-based and aspirational education system.
“Education is the most powerful tool for social transformation. It is important for our boys and girls to develop, right from their school years, scientific temper, critical thinking, wisdom & values to enrich their personality,” observed the Lt Governor.
“Quality education ensures all-round development, economic progress of family & society. Education is the main pillar of nation’s development. The efforts of Sant Eshwer Foundation, their dedication & commitment to selfless service can show the way to prosperity and contribute to economic growth,” the Lt Governor said.
The Lt Governor also highlighted the key role of the National Education Policy in providing a roadmap to establish India as a knowledge economy.
Earlier, the Lt Governor interacted with the students who had displayed their models and prototypes based on robotics. A colorful cultural program was also presented by the students of the Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Vidyalaya.

Hyderabad: The foundation stone for the Women Entrepreneurs International Trade and Technology Centre (WE ITTC) at Patencheru was laid by Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao on Friday.
Sanctioned to the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP) and supported by the Union MSME ministry and the state government, the marketing hub is a first of its kind that promotes trade and technology among women entrepreneurs from India, Saarc, and ASEAN countries.

Speaking at the event, KTR stressed the need for promoting inclusivity in entrepreneurship and a private-government partnership was critical for growth.

Stating the focus of Telangana being infrastructure and supporting building world-class products, KTR said that farming, fisheries, livestock, dairy, and edible oils production revolutions are happening in the state providing several possibilities.
Additional development commissioner, MSME Development and Facilitation Office, D Chandra Sekhar said, “Telangana is the only state to have a marketing hub. WE ITTC is a prestigious project and it has the potential to go a long way and emerge into a one-stop-shop for all women entrepreneurs.”
President of ALEAP, Rama Devi Kanneganti said, “Starting with five entrepreneurs three decades ago, ALEAP has more than 10,000 entrepreneurs emerging from its echelons. People from other states and cities have shifted to Hyderabad to set up their businesses. Our vision is to make the ‘Make in India’ campaign a real possibility.”

LG Sinha Lays Foundation Stone Of Kashmir Medical College And Hospital By Milli Trust, Delhi

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha laid the foundation stone of Kashmir Medical College & Super-Speciality Hospital being developed by Milli Trust, Delhi, at the Industrial Estate Sempora, Medicity, Srinagar.
Addressing the gathering at the ground breaking ceremony, the Lt Governor said the project is one of the biggest private sector investments in health sector of UT that will improve efficiency and quality of care.
“It is a new era for private investments in J&K UT and testimony to PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s commitment to make J&K UT a leading investment destination for manufacturing and service sector,” said the Lt Governor.
The project worth Rs. 525 Cr will develop Medical College with 150 MBBS seats to fulfill the aspirations of youth and 100 bedded hospital will provide world-class healthcare at affordable rates. The project will provide employment opportunity to 2000 local youth.
We have created an enabling environment for private sector for economic development, employment and income generation. The administration is deeply and sincerely committed to ease of doing business and ease of living, said the Lt Governor.
The Lt Governor also shared the details of infrastructure being developed in the UT
The Lt Governor said that Rs 1.25 lakh crores worth road and highway projects are being completed in the Union Territory and we have also created the necessary institutional structures for investment.
The journey from Katra to Delhi will be possible in 6 hours with the completion of new Katra-Delhi expressway while the journey from Kashmir to Delhi will take only 9 hours, he added.

The Lt Governor further said that world highest iconic rail bridge has been completed that will provide connectivity between kashmir to kanyakumari by the end of this year. With regards to Air connectivity, 126 flights shall be operational from May 2, he added.
The Lt Governor said J&K UT is way ahead of national average on several health parameters.
We have two AIIMS, 9 Medical Colleges. J&K also leads in per person spending on healthcare facilities. Every family in the UT is covered under Ayushmaan Sehat. We are making sincere efforts to transform Jammu Kashmir into a prime destination for medical tourism, he added.

Hyderabad: KCR to lay foundation for new NIMS block in May

Hyderabad: Telangana health minister T Harish Rao on Thursday said that chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao will lay the foundation stone for the new block of Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) soon.
The new state-of-the-art multispecialty block is being built with Rs 1571 crores in 32 acres at Erramanzil Colony. Including 500 emergency beds, the new facility is being constructed with a capacity of 2000 beds. The laying of the foundation stone of the new block will most likely happen in May.
The new facility will house 42 super-speciality departments including heart, kidney, liver, cancer care, emergency and trauma care facilities, and all orthopaedic specialities.

Andhra CM lays foundation for Rs 4,362 cr Mulapeta Port in Srikakulam

Srikakulam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for the Rs 4,362 crore Mulapeta greenfield port in Srikakulam district, which is expected to completed within two years.
Besides the port, the Chief Minister also laid the foundations for a fishing harbour at Budagatlapalem, a lift irrigation project from Gotta barrage to Hira Mandalam reservoir and taking forward the works of Mahendra Tanaya river.
“I am proud to say that these four projects will change the face of Srikakulam district in the coming days,” Reddy said addressing a public meeting at Naupada village, adding that the district is endowed with a 193 kilometre long coastline out of the southern state’s total 974 km coastline.

However, he noted that over the decades, neither a port nor a fishing harbour or a fish landing centre was built in this coastal district which had the potential to become another Chennai or Mumbai.
Reddy observed that Mulapeta Port in Sonthabommali mandal would be completed in 24 months and that seaport has the potential to employ 35,000 people directly and indirectly, including creation of several other ancillary jobs.

Hyderabad commissioner lays foundation stone of Creche at CAR headquaters

Hyderabad: City police commissioner CV Anand laid the foundation stone of the new building for the proposed creche at the City Armed Reserve (CAR) Headquarters.
The creche facility for women police officers will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 4.5 crores funded by Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL), director Pamireddy Rama Reddy as part of corporate social responsibility project.
The one storied building is expected to be completed by November 14. The facility can accommodate 100 children aged below 5 years and will be equipped with a separate kitchen to ensure that the children receive healthy and nutritious meals, said a press release.

The facility will be staffed by trained professionals who will provide personalised care and attention to the children. Indoor and outdoor play area, cradles and feeding rooms, medical rooms, dormitory for pregnant women with storage facility, CCTV monitoring and other amenities will be provided.
Commissioner CV Anand addressing the audience said that he was happy as the women officers are now getting better facilities at the workplace. “11.5% of 18,432 personnel working in Hyderabad City Police are Women and it is important that despite all the difficulties, women should bravely take on challenging roles and break the stereotypes,” he added.
“We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture for all our women officers. This project will provide a much-needed facility for our women officers who are also mothers, allowing them to balance their professional and personal responsibilities more effectively” Anand said.

Hyderabad: Foundation stone laid for 500 bedded boys hostel at OU

Hyderabad: Foundation stone for the new 500 bedded boys’ hostel at Osmania University was laid by Telangana education minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy at the varsity campus on Tuesday.
The three-floored hostel building will spread over 1.59 acres of Osmania University College of Engineering land, with 133 rooms to accommodate 500 engineering students.
The building will also have a dining block which can accommodate 237 students for dining at a time.
