DC Srinagar Felicitates Toppers Of IIT-JEE Mains Examination 2023

SRINAGAR: In order to encourage the meritorious students and to boost their morale, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today felicitated four students from RISE Institute who have achieved a remarkable feat by securing an outstanding score of 99+ percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023.
The Deputy Commissioner felicitated the students namely Nadeem Shabir 99.32, Muiz Zubair 99.19, Azhar ul Shams 99.18, Peerzada Shabir 99.05 in his Office Chamber with certificate of excellence, as a mark of encouragement for their future endeavours.The DC congratulated them for showing brilliant performance and said that the JEE Main exam is considered one of the toughest engineering entrance exams in India and is the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs).
The DC said this exceptional performance is a testament of hard work, dedication, and academic ability of these students and is a proud moment not just for them but also for RISE and the community as a whole.
He hoped that the success achieved by the students would inspire other students also to work hard to excel in their studies and academic careers.

Hyderabad: 60 cops felicitated for improving fitness with ‘Fitcop’

Hyderabad: Efforts of 60 policemen who showed improvement in their health standards since the initiation of Fitcop, were recognized by City Police Commissioner CV Anand on Sunday.
As many as 16,000 policemen were screened a few weeks back after the Hyderabad police in association with Helping Hand Foundation (HHF) launched Fitcop, a mobile application a few months ago.

Those cops that fell into the high-risk category were periodically evaluated following which it was found that 60 of them were making sincere efforts to transform themselves.

Speaking on the occasion, C V Anand, stressed the importance of nutritious diet intake and explained the benefits of weight training, and stretching.
While sharing tips on striking a correct balance between maintaining muscle and shedding excess weight, the commissioner asked the staff officers to replicate the health culture within their families as well.
The commissioner further suggested the policemen patrol on foot whenever they could for better public engagement, which in turn would facilitate burning calories while they work.
Additionally, he instructed the HHF team to follow up with the high-risk category candidates on a daily basis
Joint CP (SMIT and Coordination), Gajarao Bhupal, DCP – ICCC, D. Sunitha Reddy, and HHF team head Mujtaba Askari among others were present.

Hyderabad: Nikhat Zareen felicitated by DGP, NMDC

Hyderabad: Nikhat Zareen was felicitated by the National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) and the Director General of Police, Anjani Kumar in two separate programmes on Thursday for her recent win at the 2023 IBA World Boxing Championship.
India’s boxing sensation Nikhat defeated Nguyen Thi Tam of Vietnam 5-0 in the final to win a gold medal for the second time on March 28 in New Delhi.
NiKhat was felicitated with a shawl and a flower bouquet by the DGP in the presence of the chief secretary Santhi Kumari at the BRBK Bhavan.

Later in the day the NMDC chairman and managing director (CMD), Amitava Mukherjee, production director, Dilip Kumar Mohanty and Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) B Vishwanath in the presence of other senior executives. Nikhat Zareen is the brand ambassador of NMDC which is supporting her journey to the 2023 Asian Games and the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Amitava Mukherjee said “It‘s a matter of pride for NMDC when its brand ambassador Nikhat Zareen asserted her supremacy at the World Boxing Championship and won the Gold for India. On behalf of NMDC, I wish her the best for her upcoming matches and training for the Olympics”.
Expressing her gratitude to NMDC, Nikhat said, “The unwavering support from NMDC is highly appreciable, who not only believed in my potential but also invested in my dreams. Their encouragement has been the driving force behind my success and I will forever cherish their contribution towards my journey”.

Keeravaani, Chandrabose felicitated by Telangana governor

Hyderabad: Well-known Tollywood music director M. M. Keeravaani and lyricist K. Chandrabose, whose ‘Naatu Naatu’ song for Rajamouli’s blockbuster has earned the prestigious Oscar nomination, were felicitated by Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Republic Day.
The Telugu film personalities were honoured during Republic Day celebrations held at Raj Bhavan. The governor presented them a shawl and citation each on the occasion and congratulated them for their achievement.
Keeravaani on January 12 received Golden Globe award 2023 in the Best Original Song category for song ‘Naatu Naatu’.
On January 24, the song was nominated for Oscars 2023 in the Best Original Song category.
The Union government on Saturday also announced Padma Shri for Keeravaani for his contributions in the field of art.
Speaking to reporters at Raj Bhavan, Keeravaani said Golden Globes award and Oscar nomination were not his achievement alone. “It’s an achievement of all my mentors, brothers and supporters,” he said.
The governor also honoured table tennis player Srija Akula and para athelete K. Lokeshwari. Others who were felicitated include AM. Bala Lata who is training civil services aspirants and Bhagwan Maheever Medical Relief Trust.
