Hyderabad: Love can be a rocky road, and even the strongest of couples can hit a stumbling block they can’t overcome easily.
This appears to be the case with actress Trisha and her ex-beau Varun, a couple who was set to marry after a lavish engagement ceremony on January 23, 2015. However, to everyone’s shock, Trisha had shared in May 2015 that she had ended her engagement with Varun.
According to reports, the couple cited two main reasons for their split, both of which appear to clash with expectations. On the one hand, Varun’s family, the Bussines family, was reportedly dissatisfied with his decision to marry Trisha, believing that he would find a partner from a similar background. Trisha, on the other hand, thought Varun was a control freak because he allegedly demanded her to give up on her acting career after they got married.

These issues appear to have come to an end, with heated arguments causing the couple to drift apart. The final straw, according to reports, was an ugly spat between the couple over the guest list on the day of their engagement party. With tensions already high in the couple’s lives, the presence of actor Dhanush, with whom Varun reportedly has issues, has only added fuel to the fire.
While the couple has chosen to keep their split private, rumours about it continued to circulate and new theories emerged on a regular basis. Some believed that Trisha and Varun were simply not meant to be together, while others believed there were other factors.
On the work front, Trisha was last seen in Ponniyin Selvan – 2.

Microsoft announces ‘Copilot for Viva’ to grow workforce engagement

New Delhi: Microsoft has announced “Copilot for Viva”, along with the introduction of “Viva Glint”, to help organisations create a more engaged and productive workforce.
Viva is Microsoft’s employee experience platform, which integrates goals, staff communications, learning, workplace analytics, and feedback.
Copilot in Microsoft Viva will begin rolling out to customers later in 2023, while the company will start to roll out Viva Glint to customers in July 2023.

With Copilot, Microsoft Viva takes advantage of next-generation AI to accelerate this new performance equation, where engagement and productivity together lead to better business outcomes and success.
Other than Viva Glint, Copilot is being introduced in Viva Goals, Viva Engage, Viva Learning, Viva Topics and more.
Viva Glint is a survey tool that helps measure and improve employee engagement.
Moreover, “Viva Goals” simplifies goal setting by assisting leaders through the process of generating objectives and key results (OKRs), as well as goal management throughout the company.
“Viva Engage” assists leaders in creating captivating and inspiring posts using simple suggestions or trending topics from workplace forums and storyline talks, while, “Viva Learning” provides curated learning collections and succinct knowledge summaries targeted to individual tasks or development needs, making it easier for leaders to help skill and train the workforce.

Further, the company said that employees can utilise “Viva Topics” to learn more about significant topics and see related topics and projects through a conversational interface.
Copilot in Answers will help users construct questions with the appropriate specificity and completeness as well as extracts the pertinent topics to help categorise the question.
According to the company, Copilot in Viva is based on the Microsoft 365 Copilot System, which leverages the potential of large language models (LLMs) and combines it with the data from the Microsoft Graph and Viva apps.
This innovative approach provides leaders with an entirely novel way to gain insights into and engage with their workforce.

Telangana: Woman jumps off building after engagement gets cancelled

Hyderabad: A 23-year-old bride-to-be attempted suicide by jumping off a three-storied building in Patencheru Mandal of Medak district. Her condition is said to be critical.
Yamini, a resident of Basthi town got engaged to her cousin 15 days ago. However, an argument occurred between both families after the boy’s side demanded dowry.
The engagement was finally called off. Heartbroken, Yamini attempted off the building.

She sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Her condition is stated to be critical, doctors say.

JK High Court Orders Fresh Consideration Of APTECH’s Engagement

SRINAGAR: On Friday, a division bench of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court requested the single bench to reconsider a petition challenging the engagement of Mumbai-based APTECH firm by the Jammu & Kashmir administration to conduct job tests.
The single bench had previously cancelled the contract, but the division bench overturned that decision and upheld the interim directions. Justices Tabi Rabistan and M.A. Choudhary remanded the writ petition back to the writ court for fresh consideration of the matter.
“Therefore, in view of what has been discussed above, we, without discussing the merits of the case, deem it proper to dispose of the appeals and remit the writ petition back to the Writ Court for deciding the matter afresh, ordered accordingly. Accordingly, the order and judgment impugned is hereby set aside, the writ petition is restored to its original number and the writ petition is remitted back to the learned Single Judge with a request to decide the matter afresh. Writ respondents through their learned counsel are directed to file objections/counter to the writ petition within two weeks from today, thereafter, rejoinder, if any, to be filed within next one week. Registry is directed to list the writ petition before the learned Single Judge on 5th of April, 2023, when the learned Single Judge is requested to finally decide the writ petition. Till then interim direction dated 09.12.2022 shall remain in force,” reads the order.
On December 09, the division bench issued interim directions that the Services Selection Board should continue with the selection process for Junior Engineer (Jal Shakti Department) and Sub-Inspector (Home Department). However, the announcement of the results should be postponed until the court issues further orders. (KNO)

Srinagar, Mar 10: A division bench of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court on Friday requested the single bench to hear and decide afresh petition challenging engagement of Mumbai-based APTECH firm by Jammu & Kashmir administration for conducting job tests.
It set aside the single bench order cancelling allotment of contract to the firm and maintained its interim directions shall remain in force.
The division comprising Justice Tabi Rabistan and Justice M.A Choudhary today remitted the writ petition back to the writ court for deciding the matter afresh.

Stephen Benjamin, the former mayor of Columbia, S.C., will be the new senior adviser and director of the Office of Public Engagement, replacing Keisha Lance Bottoms, the White House announced on Monday.
Benjamin previously served as Columbia’s mayor from 2010 to 2021 and currently sits as the CEO and president of the Benjamin Firm, LLC. As mayor, he served as the president of the U.S. Conference of Mayors from 2018 to 2019 and the president of the African American Mayors Association from 2015 to 2016.
“Mayor Benjamin is a longtime public servant, who has served the people of South Carolina for over two decades statewide and as a three-term mayor of Columbia,” President Joe Biden said in a statement. “As a former President of both the U.S. Conference of Mayors and the African American Mayors Association, Steve’s deep relationships with communities across the country will serve our Administration and the American public well.”
