    Delhi: As many as ten passenger trains operating from different parts of the country to the national capital are running late due to dense fog and poor visibility conditions today.

    “Ten long distance passenger trains coming to New Delhi from all over India are running late due to dense fog and poor visibility,” the railways said on Tuesday.

    While Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express is running late by an hour, Visakhapatnam -New Delhi Andhra Pradesh Express is running late by one hour and fifteen minutes.

    Meanwhile, Barauni- New Delhi Clone Special, Hyderbad-New Delhi Telangana Express and Ayodhya Cantt- Delhi Express are running behind schedule by one and a half hours each.

    Howrah- New Delhi Poorva Express and Rajgir-New Delhi Sharmjeevi Express are also late by one hour and forty-five minutes each.

    On the other hand, Kochuveli- Amritsar Express is late by two hours and Hyderabad- Hazrat Nizamuddin Dakshin Express is running late by two hours and thirty minutes.

    Raxaul-Anand Vihar Terminal Sadbhavana Express is late by three hours and thirty minutes

    Srinagar, Feb 10 (GNS): The weatherman on Friday issued clarification regarding “yellowish snowfall” in north Kashmir, saying that the same was due to dust carried out by winds from central parts of Pakistan and Southern Afghanistan.

    “Analysis of 2nd Generation Weather Satellite (Meteosat-9) of EUMETSAT( European Operational Satellite Agency) confirms that yesterday’s Yellowish/dusty snowfall over some parts of North Kashmir was dust carried out by winds from central parts of Pakistan & Southern Afghanistan which started around 7 PM IST and travelled Northeast wards and reached North Kashmir around 02:00 hours AM(IST),” the Metereological department said in a statement issued to GNS.   • Lineman Injured Due To Electric Shock

    SRINAGAR: A lineman, working as a daily wager in Power Development Department, on Friday suffered injuries due to an electric shock in Damhal Hanjipora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam.

    Quoting an official the news agency KNO reported that the lineman identified as Muhammad Ramzan son of Ghulam Qadir of Manzgam sustained injuries after he came in contact with a live wire.

    He said he was rushed to a nearby hospital, where from she was referred to the SKIMS, Soura.

    Hyderabad: The residents of Hyderabad may witness traffic jams at various places in the city today due to the Formula E race, and ongoing budget session.

    Traffic movement is likely to be slow at Public Garden, Assembly, Ravindra Bharathi, DGP office, Lakdikapool, etc. due to the Telangana assembly budget session.

    Due to traffic diversions for the Formula E race which is scheduled to be held on February 11, traffic movement may become slow from Erramanzil, KCP, RTA Office, VV Statue, Shadan College, Hampshire, towards Lakdikapool Metro Station.

    As per Hyderabad Traffic Police, movement of vehicles is slow from St Ann’s School, North Zone, YMCA, Patny X Roads towards Paradise X Roads due to the heavy flow of traffic and peak hours.

    Restrictions for Formula E race may lead to traffic jams in Hyderabad

    In view of the Formula E race, traffic restrictions are imposed around Hussain Sagar in the heart of Hyderabad.

    Traffic will not be allowed on the Telugu Talli flyover to the Khairatabad flyover and Mint compound to I Max.

    Due to the restrictions, it is likely that many places in Hyderabad may witness traffic jams throughout the day.

    In the first-ever ABB FIA Formula E World Championship race in India, eleven teams and 22 drivers will be seen in action.

    Traffic restrictions for Telangana Assembly budget session

    As per the restrictions for the Telangana Assembly budget session in Hyderabad, traffic may be stopped or diverted on a need basis along the routes of Telugu Thalli – Iqbal Minar – Ravindra Bharathi; VV Statue – Shadan – Nirankari – Old PS Saifabad – Ravindra Bharathi; Masab Tank – PTI Building – Ayodhya – Nirankari; New MLA Quarters – Basheerbagh Junction to Old PCR Junction; BJR Statue – AR Petrol pump – Old PCR Junction; M J Market – Taj Island – Nampally Railway Station – AR Petrol pump – Old PCR Junction; BRK Bhavan – Adarsh Nagar – Old PCR Junction; Ministers Residence Complex and Road No. 12, Banjara Hills – Virinchi Hospitals.

    Other routes where traffic restrictions will be imposed are Jubilee Hills Check Post – KBR Park – LV Prasad Eye Hospital – Srinagar Colony T Junction – Sagar Society T Junction – NFCL – Vengal Rao Park – GVK Mall – Taj Krishna – KCP Junction – VV Statue; ESI Hospital – SR Nagar Metro Station – Ameerpet Metro Station – Panjagutta Junction – NIMS – VV Statue; CTO Junction – Paradise – Ranigunj – Karbala – Children’s Park – Tank Bund – Ambedkar Statue – Telugu Thalli – Iqbal Minar – Ravindra Bharathi and Plaza Junction – Patny – Bata – Bible house – Karbala.

    All 5 members of a non-local family die due to suspected suffocation in Kralpora Kupwara

    Kupwara, Feb 8 (GNS): Five members of a non-local family, putting up at Kralpora in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, died due to suspected suffocation on intervening Tuesday and Wednesday night.

    Reports reaching GNS said that family of one Majid Ansari, resident of Bijnore Uttar Pradesh, which was putting up at a rented accommodation at Kralpora was found unconscious. As people sought help from a local doctor, all the members were declared dead.

    Among the deceased include Majid Ansari (35) son of Ahmad Hussain, his wife Sohana Khatoon (30), their children Faizan Ansari (4), Abu Zar (3) and a few days old infant.

    BMO Kralpora confirming the deaths of family members said that it may be a possible case of suffocation. He was however quick to add that the actual details will come to fore once the bodies reach health facility.

    “We have sent two ambulances to ferry the bodies here, once we know the actual details, we will share accordingly”, he said. (GNS)
