Final Fantasy 7: Success in the West is partly due to GCI, for Hironobu Sakaguchi

    [ad_1]

Self Final Fantasy 7 in 1997 it achieved a huge success in the West, much higher than the previous chapters, it is partly due to the use of scenes in GCIsecond Hironobu Sakaguchithe dad of the series.

In an interview with IGN, Sakaguchi said that at the time, Square Enix was finding it difficult to expand its business outside Japan, in part due to the fact that pixel art games in the West, such as Final Fantasy sixth, they were seen as titles aimed at children. The problem was solved with Final Fantasy 7, which in addition to 3D graphics had spectacular GCI sequences (at least for the time) that managed to captivate even an older audience.

“At the time, people in the West saw pixel art as something for kids,” Sakaguchi said. “It was frustrating that our games were having a hard time establishing themselves in these countries as we wanted to find a way to expand our business. We finally succeeded when we were able to incorporate GC for Final Fantasy 7.”

Sakaguchi explained the reasons why in his opinion the games produced in Japan have started to notice difficulties in the PS3 eradespite the success achieved in the previous two generations of consoles.

“I think one of the main reasons is that consoles like the NES and PlayStation were very specific hardware. This made it easier for Japanese developers to master the hardware, as we could ask Nintendo or Sony for support directly in Japanese.”

“This is why – I realize I might sound rude to say this – Japanese games were of higher quality at the time. As a result, they were considered more enjoyable, but as hardware became easier to develop, games things have changed rapidly”.

The interview was also attended by Koji Igarashi, the creator of Castlevania, who on this specific point added: “Japanese developers have mastered specific skills for console games, but in North America and Europe there was a greater connection with the ‘PC ecosystem,” Igarashi said. “When it got to the point that there was no longer a big difference between console and PC development, Japanese developers could no longer rely on their specialties in console development and had to master PC development.”

Fake videos of attacks due to my call for oppn unity against BJP: Stalin

    [ad_1]

Chennai: As various social media content of alleged attacks on migrant workers from Tamil Nadu have turned out to be fake, Chief Minister M K Stalin has alleged the “lies spread” regarding such assaults in the State was a fallout of his recent call for opposition unity to dislodge the ruling BJP at the Centre next year.

He blamed the saffron party functionaries for doing so.

A Facebook user shared a video of an overcrowded passenger train claiming that migrants from Bihar were returning to their home state in large numbers from Tamil Nadu. In its investigation, the PTI Fact Check found that the train in the video posted on social media travels between Bihar’s capital city Patna and Barka Kana in Jharkhand.

It doesn’t travel from Tamil Nadu to Bihar, as the social media post claims. The unrelated video was shared on social media with a misleading claim.

A Facebook user shared a video which purportedly showed a train teeming with people. The text in the video reads Tamil Nadu to Bihar’, which implied that they were migrant workers from Bihar leaving the southern state.

Earlier too, a social media post showing purported clipping of a Hindi newspaper, claiming it reported the alleged killing of the Hindi-speaking migrant labourers in Tamil Nadu turned out to be fake following an investigation by the PTI Fact Check Desk.

Stalin, in his “Ungalil Oruvan” question and answer series, asserted no migrant worker in the State has been assaulted as alleged.

Many such workers were employed in Tamil Nadu for a long time and never have they faced any issues, the chief of the ruling DMK said.

“Some have been preparing fake videos and spreading lies. The BJP functionaries in north India have done this with an agenda. You will understand the conspiracy behind doing so, if you notice that such lies were spread the very next day I highlighted the need for political organisations opposed to the BJP joining hands at the national level,” he said.

At his birthday rally here on March 1, attended by leaders including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Stalin had stressed for opposition unity to defeat the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.

The Chief Minister said that soon after he received information about the alleged attacks, he enquired if the migrant workers were targeted anywhere in the State and it emerged that it was not the case.

“I have informed Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar that not even a small irritation has been caused (to the workers),” he said, adding the official delegation from that state which had visited TN over the issue has returned with ‘satisfaction.’

Pals are peat mounds in permafrost with an icy core. When the average temperature rises, the ice inside the mounds melts and the mounds collapse. No new mounds are formed.

Third Compared to the situation in the 1990s, the number of palsas in the conservation and wilderness areas of Upper Lapland has disappeared, says Metsähallitus.

The reason for this is climate change. Pals are peat mounds in permafrost with an icy core. When the average temperature rises, the ice inside the mounds melts and the mounds collapse. New palsa mounds are no longer formed, and thus the palsa swamps disappear.

Metsähallitus and the Finnish Environment Agency mapped almost three million hectares of the natural state of Upper Lapland in 2020–2022. The material produced with the help of machine intelligence is the most accurate that has ever been collected about the area’s habitat types and their condition.

  • The actions postponed due to the strike in justice now exceed 9,300 in the Region of Murcia

    [ad_1]

    Alice Black

The courts face their sixth week of indefinite strike with increasingly evident damages. The number of actions postponed due to the strike held since January 24 by the lawyers of the administration of justice (LAJ), one of the crucial gears within the administration, now exceeds 9,300, according to sources from the Superior Court of Justice ( TSJ).

The Ministry of Justice plans to hold its third meeting with the strike committee this afternoon in search of an agreement that will allow the reversal of this conflict, which is keeping the courts of the Region practically paralyzed. Specifically, last week -from February 20 to 24- 767 of the aforementioned hearings and trials could not be held and 861 statements and 28 proceedings stopped being carried out outside the headquarters, according to the data collected by the TSJ for referral to the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ).

The report also includes the incidence of unemployment of these civil servants by jurisdictions during the last four weeks. Thus, in the civil and commercial jurisdiction, 1,110 trials were suspended, 818 in criminal, 215 in the social order and 490 in administrative litigation. In addition, 608 hearings and 857 proceedings in the civil registries ceased to be carried out.

Anse regrets the delay of ‘Novo Carthago’ and fears that the case will remain “in limbo”

The trial for the ‘Novo Carthago case’, one of the major procedures for alleged urban corruption that the Murcian courts have instructed in recent decades, was scheduled to start this Monday at the Court, but it has remained in the air pending a decision. going out on strike that the lawyers of the administration of justice have been waging for more than a month. The Association of Naturalists of the Southeast (Anse), one of the initial complainants in the case and who exercises the private prosecution, regrets the “feeling of impunity” that this situation projects. “A justice that is applied twenty years later,” remarks the director of the organization, Pedro García, “cannot be called justice.”

He also emphasizes that “the tremendous work that was done, in part, could collapse, especially due to the risk that the sanctions could be lower or even that the case would remain in limbo.”

García also underlines that the resolution of this trial is key to the future of the urban procedure. “There have been appeals due to the refusal of the Cartagena City Council to continue with the process to allow the urban development of the area and what happens here is key.” The director of Anse also stresses that this area has been left out of the plans of the Ministry of Ecological Transition to design a green belt around the Mar Menor because it was pending a judicial decision.

In this sense, the association demands that the regional president shed light on existing plans in the area. “It should explain, if the trial concludes that there is no crime, if the community would allow the area to develop urbanistically,” he stresses.

Telangana: KTR’s remarks against PM Modi due to BRS’ desperation, says BJP

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP’s official spokesperson NV Subhash on Friday said that the ruling BRS, after realising that it is losing the confidence of people, is now resorting to ‘derogatory remarks’ against PM Narendra Modi.

Reacting to KT Rama Rao’s remarks at Bhupalpally, Subhash said that KCR is unable to digest the popularity and people’s support for BJP.

Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) at a public meeting on Thursday in Bhupalpally, alleged that prime minister Narendra Modi was helping Gautam Adani become rich.

“Modi indeed helped Adani get that money,” he said referring to the recent Hindenburg research report row. KTR said that the Prime Minister failed to fulfill his election promise to deposit Rs 15 lakhs in Jan Dhan accounts.

“He is indulging in mud-slinging by using objectionable words against the Modi government,” said the BJP spokesperson.

NV Subhash stated that inspite of the BJP’s challenge for an open debate on the funds from centre to Telangana,’ the BRS ministers are not coming forward.’

He alleged that all the scams happening in the country led to Pragathi Bhavan and members of chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s family and BRS leaders being involved.

He echoed the statement of BJP party chief Bandi Sanjay that the BJP would destroy the tombs if they are voted to power.

Subhash said, “BRS is in power not because of Muslim votes, it is your duty and responsibility to protect our culture and respect sentiments of Hindu voters.”
