No matter how hard BJP tries, development work won’t stop in Delhi: Sisodia

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia, who is in judicial custody for his alleged involvement in the Delhi excise policy case, said on Monday that no matter how hard the BJP tries, development work will not be stalled in the national capital.

“Be it in Patparganj or other parts of Delhi, development work will not stop. No matter how hard the BJP people tries, no work will stop in Delhi,” Sisodia said after coming out of the Rouse Avenue Court, which extended his judicial custody till May 23.

The court also allowed an application moved by his legal team seeking permisson for Sisodia to sign certain documents for approving the disbursement of funds for development work in his constituency (Patparganj).

The ED had arrested Sisodia on March 9 after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested him on February 26 this year in the same case.

The ED has alleged that Sisodia was the mastermind behind the entire excise policy case and that he had deliberately leaked the policy to the co-accused to generate financial kickbacks.

Telangana: KTR launches multiple development projects in Husnabad

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana IT minister, K T Rama Rao on his tour to the Husnabad constituency launches various development projects including a government degree college building worth Rs 2.25 crore, a tribal girls college hostel worth Rs 1 crore, a teachers training centre building at a cost worth Rs 2 crore, a municipal commercial complex worth Rs 1.5 crore, and a Basti Dawakhana building and double bedroom houses in the town on Friday.

Following the inauguration, KTR laid the foundation stone for the development and beautification of Ellamma Pond to be undertaken under the auspices of the tourism department.

The minister who arrived in a chopper, also played shuttle in the newly inaugurated indoor stadium.

    MS Education Academy

Addressing a public meeting, KTR said that the BRS government works for the cause of farmers and their welfare and assured that the state government would purchase every grain produced by the farmers.

“Chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has already directed the officials to procure soaked and discoloured paddy from the farmers without imposing any conditions,” said KTR while he urged farmers not to worry about the crop losses triggered by unseasonal rains.

Recalling Husnabad to be famous for drought and parched lands, KTR asserted that KCR has now deployed Bhagiratha Maharshi to construct the Gouravelli project and brought Godavari water to Husnabad ensuring water supply to the farmers.

Taking a dig at Congress, “In the Congress rule, power was supplied hardly for six hours to the farming sector but now 24 hours free power was being supplied to farmers,” he said.

Listing out the welfare and development programmes executed in Husnabad by the Telangana government, the KTR slammed the BJP for its unfulfilled promises.

“When Narendra Modiji became Prime Minister, the domestic gas cylinder price was Rs 400 and today it escalated to Rs 1200,” underlined KTR.

Slamming the Telangana BJP MP Bandi Sanjay, KTR said that he always indulges in communal politics and insists on digging into mosques to derive political mileage when he should focus on the promises made by his party.

“Do we need such MP? Lands should be dug up for laying the foundation for canals and development works,” the minister said, adding that if BRS candidate had been elected, Karimnagar would not have an IIIT.

Governor stalling Telangana’s development, alleges minister

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Finance and Health Minister T. Harish Rao on Thursday alleged that Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan has been stalling the development of the state.

He said that the Governor calls Telangana as ‘My State’ and ‘My Government but was working to stop the development of the state. It was nothing but back-stabbing, he said.

In an informal chat with the reporters, he hit back at the Governor for certain comments she made during a programme the previous day.

    MS Education Academy

Taking a dig at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, she had remarked that it is easy to meet heads of foreign nations but not the Chief Minister.

Harish Rao said by making the comments during G-20 meeting, the Governor lowered the honour of the state. “This is nothing but humiliating people of the state,” he said.

He said that people were feeling that the Governor was acting under the guidance of the BJP and she was welcome to enter into politics instead of doing politics being in that seat

On the Governor’s allegation that she was not invited for the inauguration of state Secretariat, Harish Rao asked if there was a provision in the Constitution to invite the Governor for the inauguration of the Secretariat.

He said that it was the prerogative of the elected government to decide whom to invite. “Has the Prime Minister invited the President of India for laying foundation of new Parliament? Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Vande Bharat Express trains. Did he invite President of India,” he asked.

Harish Rao said that the Governor kept nine bills pending for seven months and some of them were returned only after the state government approached the Supreme Court.

By stopping the bills, the Governor stalled the state’s development, he alleged. “Medical bill was aimed at increasing the age limit of professors as we have shortage of professors. Similarly, Forest University Bill was stopped which provides employment for some unemployed and offers education to the youth. Same was the case with private universities Bill. By rejecting these bills what she had achieved except stopping the progress of the state,” he said.

He also questioned the Governor’s action in not giving consent for a bill for seven private universities while she had cleared a similar bill two years ago.

Referring to a common recruitment board, the minister said that it was there in Bihar, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra and why it should not be so here.

Newly inaugurated Telangana secretariat not a symbol of development: BJP leader

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Reacting to the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s statement that the newly inaugurated Telangana secretariat building was a symbol of “reformation”, former member of the state’s Legislative Council and BJP leader N Ramchander Rao on Sunday said a building with domes cannot be a symbol of development.

Speaking to ANI, N Ramchander said the CM should do a ground reality check.

“Just by constructing a vastu-based Secretariat and demolishing the earlier building, he (KCR) can’t claim to have developed Telangana,” N Ramachander Rao told ANI.

    MS Education Academy

“I would like to remind the CM and KTR (his son) that a girl recently drowned in a manhole amid incessant rains in the city. If such is the situation in Hyderabad, how can you call it a global city?”

“There is no proper drainage system in the state,” he alleged.

He added that the state could only be said to be developed when people across all levels of society are happy, find jobs and also have access to the welfare schemes of the government.

“Corruption is rampant in the state and the new secretariat, alone, can’t be called a symbol of development,” the BJP leader said.

Claiming further that Telangana was mired in debts, Ramachander added, “Earlier, Telangana used to be a surplus state. Now the state is reeling under a debt of Rs 5 lakh crore.”

“Inflation is very high in Telangana when compared to other states. So just by inaugurating a new secretariat building, he (CM) can’t go around claiming that Telangana has progressed,” the BJP leader added.

“Let him run a reality check on the ground. People are slipping into poverty. So, merely raising a new secretariat building doesn’t mean that the state has progressed,” he said.
