Srinagar April 10: State Council of Education Research and Trainings (SCERT) is all set to declare result of class 8th examination today.
According to an official communique, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), joint director SCERT has been directed to declare the result of class 8th, session 2022-23 after fulfillment of all the codal formalities
“A copy of the result details (gazette) of each DIET be shared with this Council for records,” it reads.
Earlier, School Education Department had decided to declare the results of the class 8th simultaneously for all schools in Jammu and Kashmir.
The decision was taken owing to adoption of Uniform Academic Calendar by School Education Department from the current academic session.
The Term II examination of class 8th was held between February 27 and March 10 of 2023 in soft zone areas of Kashmir and Jammu division followed by commencement of exam in hard zone areas from March 24 and were scheduled to culminate on April 8 of 2023—(KNO)

Srinagar, Apr 06: Jammu and Kashmir State Council for Educational Research and Training (JK-SCERT) is likely to announce results of 8th standard on April-10.
A top official informed the news agency Kashmir News Observer that the results have been prepared and all the process have been completed. “We have completed all the requisite process and most likely, the results will be announced by April-10,” the official said.
It also said that the academics will be started immediately in a week’s time after announcement of the results.
Pertinently, the examinations of the 8th standard commenced from February-27 and culminated on March-10.
Meanwhile, the official also said that the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) for teaching staff of School Education Department will take some time to start.
“The ATD will take some time to start and when everything will set, we will open the online links accordingly,” the official said.
On asking about the disparity of working hours in schools in and out Srinagar Municipal Limits, the official said, “We will decide soon the new timing fir the schools falling under Srinagar Municipal Limits.
It is pertinent to mention that the timing for government and private schools in Srinagar Municipal Limits usually used to be from 9Am to 3Pm in April while outside the Municipal limits, it used to be 10Am to 4Pm.
However, the government recently announced that the working hours in schools in Srinagar Municipal Limits would be from 9Am to 2Pm while the timing for school outside Municipal Limits remained unchanged resulting in one hour of disparity (KNO)

New Delhi: The Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency in Kerala was declared vacant on Friday after its MP Rahul Gandhi was disqualified from Parliament after he was sentenced to a two-year jail term in a criminal defamation case.
The Lok Sabha secretariat issued a notification disqualifying Gandhi as a member of the Lower House of Parliament following his conviction by a Surat court in a 2019 criminal defamation case.
The Lok Sabha website now shows three vacant seats Jalandhar, Lakshadweep and Wayanad.
The Jalandhar seat fell vacant after the demise of Congress member Santokh Singh Chaudhary.
The Lakshadweep seat fell vacant after the disqualification of NCP member Mohammad Faizal P P after his conviction in an attempt to murder case in which he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Gandhi represented the Amethi parliamentary seat in the Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2019. BJP leader Smriti Irani defeated Gandhi in Amethi in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Gandhi won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Wayanad, the second seat he had contested.

While speaking about the achievement, the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat said that District Kulgam has always performed laurels in the NTEP activities be it Har Ghar Dastak, ACF,ACSM campaigns,community engagement, prompt diagnostic & Treatment Services .
The DC complimented anti-TB medical personnel, Kulgam for achieving the target two years ahead of the National target.
He said that the tireless efforts of District administration have paid off today and that it is fortunate that the district has been cleared of this deadly disease.
Meanwhile central government awarded the District administration for achieving the feat of making the district TB Free.
Pertinent to mention that under NTEP, District Anantnag is a conjugate of district Anantnag and Kulgam.
On behalf of both of the districts, the Deputy Commissioner Anantnag is now scheduled to attend the award ceremony tomorrow at Varanasi.
Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner today felicitated National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme staff here at mini-secretariat Kulgam.

Patna: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Tuesday issued the result of Class 12 board exams.
Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekher Yadav said that 83.70 percent students have passed the examination, whose entire process was completed in only 39 days.
The Class 12 examinations were held between February 1 to February 11 and the process of checking the copies was started on February 24. In 2022, the examinations started on February 1 and the result was announced on March 16. In 2021, the examination started from February 1 and the result was announced on March 26.
“It is a great feeling that the examination process was completed in record time. The girl students have given an impressive show which is satisfactory for the state government,” the Minister said.
He also announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh, a laptop and Kindle yearbook for the student who topped the rank in this examination. The student achieved second position will get Rs 75,000, and the student who achieved third position will get Rs 50,000.
The fourth, fifth and sixth position students will get Rs 15,000 each apart from laptop and Kindle yearbook.
A total of 13,04,486 students appeared in the exam and 10,91,948 students successfully passed it.
In arts, 5 girls and 3 boys came in the first 6 ranks. In science, 5 girls and 4 boys figured in the top six and in commerce, 11 girls and 2 boys come in the top six ranks.
Ayushi Nandan came first with 94.80 percent in science. She obtained 474 marks out of 500. Soumya Sharma and Rajnish Kumar Pathak came first with 95 percent marks in commerce, scoring 475 marks each. Mohdesha obtained 95 percent marks in art, also achieving 475 marks out of 500.

Srinagar, Mar 21: Anantnag and Pulwama districts have been declared as tuberculosis free under the sub-national certification for TB elimination of India, officials said here on Tuesday.
State Tuberculosis officer, Dr Adfar Qadri told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer that two more districts-Anantnag and Pulwama have been declared TB free.
She said Srinagar has got gold medal while the UT has got bronze and most of other districts have maintained the status-quo. “We now have the distinction of having three districts with TB three as Budgam was declared TB free in 2021,” she said.
She added last year Kashmir had got 3 gold medals and now they have got upgraded and Pulwama and Anantnag have been declared TB free.
“TB incidence is declining in Kashmir. We will achieve TB elimination by 2025 as we are doing intensified and active case finding and case screening,” she said.
Notably, there are 4 categories of recognition in achievement of reduction of case targets, the top spot being TB-free status meaning 80% reduction.
The other categories include gold medal category (over 60% reduction), silver medal category (over 40% reduction) and bronze medal category (over 20% reduction).
Budgam was the first district to be declared TB free. Sub-national certification is an initiative to mark the progress of districts, states and UTs towards TB free status, which was initiated in 2020 to achieve the target of TB free India by 2025.
