However, the latest buzz has it that Bollywood actress Daisy Shah has emerged as the highest-paid participant in the show, surpassing earlier reports that suggested Shiv Thakare held the title. According to sources, Daisy is charging a bomb remuneration of Rs 15L per episode which means she will be taking home Rs 30L per week! Pretty fancy paycheck, isn’t it?

While there is no official confirmation from the makers of the show or the contestants regarding their fees, the report suggests that Daisy Shah’s fee is justified by her star power and popularity among the audience.

Mumbai: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 contestant Shiv Thakare has been making headlines recently, not just for his participation in the upcoming season of the Rohit Shetty-hosted show but also for his personal life. Reports of him dating Akanksha Puri, who is known for her role in the TV show Vighnaharta Ganesh, have been doing the rounds on social media.
It all started when paps spotted Akanksha and Shiv together at a couple of events. Fans took note of the friendly rapport between the duo and speculated whether there was a romantic spark between them. Soon after, speculations about their alleged relationship started making rounds on social media.

Biopic on Pakistani queer anchor, former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestant Begum Nawazish Ali in works

Mumbai: A new biopic based on Pakistani queer television personality Ali Saleem is in the works. Ali is a Pakistani television host, actor, scriptwriter and impressionist who broke into the mainstream audiences through his impersonations of late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto and went on to play the cross-dressing Begum Nawazish Ali on various television channels.
Ali, who was biologically born a male to a retired colonel father in Pakistan Army, has sometimes called himself gay, bisexual or at other times even a transsexual. He was also a contestant in ‘Bigg Boss 4’ back in 2010.
Deepak Pandey, CEO of EORTV, who has announced a biopic, has expressed his desire to cast Mallika Sherawat for the part.
He said, “This is a strong story, a story of boldness and courage. The character is multifaceted and needed someone as courageous and undaunted as the Begum thyself. I am planning to approach Mallika Sherawat for this role as she would be apt for a fearless performance like this. It is important to create stories like these that can encourage more and more people to be open about their sexuality and sexual preferences. This is going to be a story of an unapologetically fearless man who’s leading a life of his own choice in spite of living in a politically warm environment”.
He further mentioned, “Begum Nawazish Ali’s background and childhood is interesting but the journey he makes in due course of his life is even more interesting. He has interviewed the who’s who from business, politics, entertainment with gusto. He has courted satire and controversy but managed to make a place in the hearts of the common man. His life will make for very compelling content on screen”.
EORTV works to build awareness among the society towards the Queer community and educate people about them. The platform showcases queer stories on screen with an aim to normalise it within mainstream society.

‘MasterChef India’ contestant impresses Ranveer Brar with his Arabic dish

Mumbai: Celebrity chef Ranveer Brar was in awe of Haryana’s Gurkirat Singh’s special preparation of ‘Qatayef with Cinnamon Tea’. The Qatayef is a dessert dish, and the Chefs were amazed at how well it combines with cinnamon tea because typically, desserts do not go well with sweet beverages.
Ranveer said: “I was surprised by the idea of Gurkirat’s dish which was having two sweeteners together on the plate- a dessert and tea. It was a better decision to present us with Gurkirat’s dish than Nayanjyoti Saikia because his chicken was burnt. The Qatayef and the cinnamon tea blended harmoniously. The tea was light, and the spice of the cinnamon balanced out the sweetness of the Qatayef.”
Talking about his dish, Gurkirat also added: “I have never tried an Arabic dish, but I succeeded in making this dish because it seemed close to home but unique to this culture as well. It’s also my first time in Abu Dhabi and I am so very grateful to the makers of ‘MasterChef India’ for giving us this opportunity.”
As the home chefs or contestants travel to Abu Dhabi, judges Ranveer Brar, Vikas Khanna, and Garima Arora asked them to prepare Arabic street food. Assam’s Nayanjyoti Saikia and Haryana’s Gurkirat Singh impressed the judges with their preparations.

Video: Former Bigg Boss contestant Rakhi Sawant opens acting academy in Dubai

Abu Dhabi: Reality star and former Bigg Boss contestant Rakhi Sawant opened an acting academy in Al Karama, Dubai on Friday.
The acting academy named “Rakhi Sawant Training Institute”, will offer diploma courses in singing, dancing, and acting.
The institute will train aspiring actors from Gulf who wish to enter the Indian film industry. As per media reports, the pass-outs from her academy will get a chance to act in movies, reality shows, and web series.

Earlier, Rakhi announced the opening of the academy on Instagram.
In the video, Rakhi says, “Humari academy start ho rahi hu in Al Karama, Rakhi Sawant Academy. I want everybody to join as soon as possible. 1 taarik ko opening hai. Chalo main dekhti hu Dubai se kaun kaun aa raha hai acamedy mein milne mujhse. Main intezaar kar rahi hu. Dubai, I love you.”
This comes after her marriage to businessman Adil Durrani, who made headlines last month.
The businessman was booked in a rape case in Mysuru and was in the custody of the Karnataka Police. Adil Durrani has been accused of raping and defrauding an Iranian student while he was in judicial custody in Mumbai in connection with a domestic violence case brought by Sawant.
It was reported that Durrani was acquainted with the student who had been studying for a doctorate in pharmacy for the last five years. According to the police, he raped her after promising marriage.

The Iranian student filed a complaint at VV Puram police station in Mysuru.
Moreover, Sawant also accused Durrani of blackmailing her that he would share pictures of their private moments on social media.
