Ganderbal, May 01: A couple was injured in a road accident in Gund village of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Monday morning.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that Mushtaq Ahmad Raina and his wife Mymoona Raina were injured after their vehicle collided with truck in Gund village.
He said both the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where doctors referred them to the SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment.
The official said driver of the truck has been arrested, while a case has also been registered in this regard—(KNO)

Union Minister’s Car Collides With Truck In JK Mishap

SRINAGAR: During his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister for Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju’s car was involved in a minor accident, according to the police while adding that no injuries were reported and the minister reached his destination safely.
The purpose of Rijiju’s visit was to attend the inauguration of the first edition of the Constitution of India in the Dogri language at the University of Jammu.
He also attended a legal services camp in Udhampur, where he interacted with beneficiaries of various central government schemes, judges, and members of the National Legal Services Authority of India (NALSA).

Telangana: 15 injured after bus collides with lorry in Nizamabad

Hyderabad: In the early hours of Friday, a private bus carrying around 15 people crashed with a lorry that was parked on the side of the road near Perkit Village in the Armoor Mandal of Nizamabad District.
The bus reportedly hit the parked vehicle when it was heading from Raichur to Hyderabad. After learning of the incident, the police responded by travelling to the scene and transporting the injured to the Nizamabad government hospital.
According to the authorities, the bus driver’s dozing off behind the wheel is thought to be what caused the tragedy. At the time of the collision, there were 38 passengers on board the bus.

Telangana: TSRTC bus collides with school bus, 30 injured

Hyderabad: 20 students were injured when their school bus was hit from behind by a TSRTC bus near Yellareddypet in Sircilla District. 10 passengers travelling in the TSRTC bus were also injured.
The injured were swiftly taken to a nearby hospital and necessary treatment was provided.
According to local media reports, the TSRTC bus that hit the school bus from behind was the result of the RTC bus driver’s negligence.
MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao called up the district collector and enquired about the situation. He directed the collector to provide the injured with medical care.

BJP MP’s car collides with ‘nilgai’ on NH 27 in UP

Basti: BJP MP Jagdambika Pal had a narrow escape when a ‘nilgai’ dashed into his vehicle on NH-27 on the Basti-Santakabir Nagar border here, police said on Thursday.
The Domariyaganj MP was on his way to Gorakhpur Wednesday night to attend a programme when the incident took place.
The collision forced open the car’s airbags due to which the MP and his driver came out unhurt, however the politician’s Toyota Fortuner car was severely damaged in the accident.
Sarvesh Kumar Rai, Inspector-in-charge, Khalilabad, citing the doctor’s report said politician did not sustain any wounds.
His car was later removed from NH-28 and the route was cleared, he said.
