    Srinagar, Mar 20: A popular singer from Kashmir on Monday collapses while performing at Badamwari festival in Srinagara, following which he was hospitalised.

    An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that popular singer Manzoor Ahmad Shah fell unconscious at Badamwari, while performing on stage in Badamwari.

    He said soon after the incident he was rushed to JLNM hospital for treatment.

    Medical Superintendent JLNM Rainawari, Dr Rouf told KNO that Manzoor was brought there,where from he has been referred to SMHS Srinagar.

    He said that his condition is stable and has been shifted to SMHS for CT scan—(KNO)

    Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a woman collapsed and died during a wedding procession in Allipuram of Khammam district, Telangana, turning the joy of celebrations into mourning.

    Later, the doctors confirmed that the woman Rani died due to a brain stroke while dancing to the music played by the DJ at the wedding in Telangana.

    Unfortunately, Rani is not the only victim of such incidents that occurred in recent times. In a similar case, a teenager died of cardiac arrest while dancing at a reception in Pardi (K) village, Kubheer Mandal. Despite being rushed to a hospital, he could not be saved.

    In yet another incident, an 18-year-old first-year engineering student at CMR Engineering College collapsed due to a cardiac arrest while walking in the corridor on the campus. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he too could not survive.

    Earlier, in a separate incident, a young person collapsed while playing badminton and never recovered.

    In the most recent incident of cardiac arrest, a man succumbed just moments after stepping out of his house. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, showing how quickly a cardiac arrest can strike without warning.

    These incidents show how dangerous cardiac arrest can be, and that it can happen to anyone, at any age.

    Silicon Valley Bank collapsed on Friday after a run on deposits drove the Northern California institution into insolvency, marking the largest bank failure since the financial crisis.

    The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. has transferred the bank’s deposits to a new entity in order to protect consumers. Policymakers including Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen had grown increasingly alarmed over the past 24 hours at the prospect of the bank’s failure.

    That’s because nearly half of all Silicon Valley-backed startups and biotechs bank with the institution, which had roughly $175 billion of deposits as of the end of 2022. With $209 billion in assets, SVB’s failure is the biggest since Washington Mutual went under at the height of the 2008 crisis.

    New Delhi: A four-storey building collapsed in Delhi’s Vijay Park on Wednesday afternoon, a Delhi Fire Service official said.

    No casualty has been reported so far, they said.

    Atul Garg, Director, DFS, said around 3 pm, a call was received about a building collapse in Vijay Park area near the Sai Baba temple here.

    Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot, he said, adding debris are being cleared.

    Cop dies of cardiac arrest during morning walk at KBR park

    An 18-year-old first-year engineering student at CMR Engineering College, located in the Gundla Pochampally municipal limits, died due to cardiac arrest on Friday.

    The deceased who is identified as Sachin collapsed suddenly while walking in the corridor on the campus. Though he was rushed to CMR Hospital, doctors declared him dead.

    As per the details of the incident that took place in the afternoon, Sachin was along with his friends when he collapsed.

    It is also reported that the student had attended the classes before the incident.

    After receiving confirmation from the doctors that that he died of a cardiac arrest, his parents, who live in Suchitra, Rajasthan, were informed. Later, the college authorities handed over his body to them.

    It is not the first incident, earlier too two such cases wherein young persons died of cardiac arrest in recent times. A 19-year-old boy died in the Adilabad district while dancing at a marriage function, and another young person collapsed while playing badminton and never recovered.

    New Delhi: A warehouse in north Delhi’s Roshanara Road collapsed like a house of cards after a massive fire broke out in it on Monday, officials said. However, no one was injured in the incident.

    The video of the incident was also doing rounds on social media. In the video, firemen can be seen standing near the three-storey structure before it suddenly collapses.

    It took just five seconds for the three-storeyed building to completely come down, releasing a thick plume of black smoke.

    According to Delhi Fire Service (DFS) Director Atul Garg, a call regarding the blaze in a factory at the premises of logistics firm Jaipur Golden Transport on Roshanara Road near Pul Bangash metro station was received around 11.50 a.m. and 18 fire tenders have been rushed to the site.

    The firefighters are still trying to douse the flames.

    Jammu, Feb 13 (GNS): A bridge over rivulet in Mahore area of Reasi collapsed when two loaded dumpers were crossing on it last evening, officials said.

    They said both the dumpers, one having registration number JK02CW-9495 and other one without registration plate, fell in Badora rivulet connecting Mahore and Chassan Tehsils.

    Drivers of the vehicles, identified as Amjid Khan and Showkat Ali, both residents of Kotranka Rajouri, were injured and were shifted to hospital by rescuers including police.

    SDM Mazahir Hussein Shah confirmed to GNS collapsing of the bridge and injuries to drivers as well as damage to the dumpers. (GNS)

    SRINAGAR: At least three persons were injured after a floriculture shed collapsed inside a park in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.

    Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that a shed collapsed at Green Park Chawalagam, resulting in injuries to three persons who were sitting there.

    The injured were identified as Umair Ashraf, Aahil Ahmad and Fasial Yousuf—all residents of Chawalgam Kulgam.

    He said they were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where from one of the critically injured person was shifted to SKIMS Soura for further treatment.
