The report suggests that the contract of Argentina’s football striker with Al-Hilal would be worth a breathtaking $400 million offer to join Al-Hilal.
According to media reports, Messi received a special offer from Al Hilal to play against city rivals of Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr.

The reports came after the 2023 world cup captain Lionel Messi was recently suspended by PSG for his trip to Saudi Arabia for tourism promotion without their approval. reportedly Messi was suspended for two weeks after failing to appear in training on Monday.
Barcelona teammate Sergio Busquets, a prominent Spanish footballer is also rumoured to join Al-Hilal along with Messi.
Messi, who joined PSG from Barcelona two years ago, has a commercial contract with Saudi Arabia to promote tourism in the Middle Eastern country. There has been speculation about Messi’s future, especially after reports that contract talks with PSG had broken down. Some PSG fans have even booed Messi amid the team’s inconsistent campaign. Messi has scored 15 league goals and leads the French league with 15 assists.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) is preparing to offer Argentina footballer Lionel Messi, the most lucrative salary deal of USD 400 million (Rs 32,72,18,00,000) annually to move to the Saudi Professional League this summer, the British Telegraph reported.
Discussions are ongoing to determine whether the player will leave PSG when his contract expires at the end of June.
If the deal gets materialized, this would be around twice what was offered to Messi’s rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, when he moved to Saudi club Al Nassr.

Ronaldo penned a record 177 million pounds-a-year deal after Manchester United ripped up his contract.
According to the report by The Telegraph, Messi’s deal is being negotiated by his father Jorge. Messi has been associated with the Saudi club Al-Hilal several times over the past few months.
These reports come in light of the tense relationship between Messi and the management of the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) club.
PSG suspended Messi on Tuesday, for two weeks after he travelled to Saudi Arabia without permission from the organization, according to CNN.
In 2022, Messi was appointed tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia and was in the Kingdom this week as part of that contract.

Recently, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, the Minister of Tourism for the country, tweeted updated photos of the Argentine.

UK tourist dies after consuming 22 shots in 90 minutes in strip club

A British man died of alcohol poisoning after being served 22 shots in 90 minutes while on a night out in a Polish strip club.
When the 36-year-old victim, known as Mark C, came with a friend to Krakow’s Wild Night Club, he was already inebriated. He was visiting Poland with a buddy and was supposedly enticed inside the club by a promise of free admission, a report by Metro stated.
The investigators stated Mark attempted to deny beverages in order to prevent becoming more inebriated. Members of the crew, on the other hand, urged him to take additional shots. He received two dozen strong shots before collapsing and dying. Staff at the club robbed him of 2,200 Polish zoty (Rs 42,816) in cash after he fell.

According to Polish officials, he died with a blood alcohol concentration of at least 0.4 percent. Alcohol poisoning can occur at blood alcohol levels of 0.3 percent or greater.
The event occurred in 2017, however, 58 individuals were recently accused by Polish police of being members of an organised crime organisation in connection with the tourist’s killing. They also filed over 700 criminal accusations against the organisation during a raid on several nightclubs.
“One of the leads investigated by the investigators in the case concerns the victim who was driven to a state of intoxication, causing loss of consciousness, and then death as a result of acute alcohol poisoning. The man was not given medical assistance during the incident. Provisional arrests were made against those suspected of this act,” they said.
According to the Polish Central Police Investigation Bureau (CBSP), the clubs perpetrated a swindle in which they drank patrons before taking their money. According to CBSP, the gang took advantage of the victims’ ”mental and physical condition” and ”made payment transactions using payment cards or other financial instruments for goods and services allegedly supplied in the club.”

Welcome to POLITICO’s Mayors Club, a first-of-its-kind roundtable of 50 mayors, one from each state. We convened these mayors to tell us how they’re tackling the issues their own voters are demanding action on – and what they’re pushing state and national leaders for. Mayors – regardless of their party, the size of their population or their location – are judged on some of the most mundane aspects of government, like filling potholes and plowing snow. But they’re also charged with navigating some of the most complex, like tax and real estate policy.
Mayors are also often more nimble than their counterparts in higher levels of government, possessing the flexibility to experiment with policy and try out new potential solutions to persistent problems.
These mayors are from small towns like Gibbon, Neb., (pop. 1,889) and big cities like San Diego (pop. 1.38 million). They are Republicans and Democrats and independents. They are new to politics at 23 years old or in their seventh term in office at 68. They include military veterans, a social worker, a surgeon, a son of immigrants — and many mark a historic “first”: the first woman, or first openly gay person, or first person of color to lead their communities.
Throughout the year, we will survey and interview these leaders on a variety of key issues plaguing cities and towns across the country — and what solutions mayors are rolling out. You’ll hear more of their stories as the project unfolds.

Indian Social Club Oman, Deccani Wing – Community Iftar 2023 was organized on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Ruwi Clock Tower in Muscat. It was attended by 4000 people including 1000 ladies from Indian and other nationalities residing in Oman. Hyderabadi community is holding this ‘Iftar’ for more than 20 years and it is the largest such event in Muscat.
The Indian Ambassador H.E. Amit Narang was the chief guest and Said Al Riyami, Director Dawah Centre, Ministry of Awqaf Oman was the guest of honor. The Indian Ambassador was taken around the venue by Wasifuddin, Convener, Ismail Baig Co-Convener and Mansoor Sabri Treasurer of Deccani Wing and Suhail Khan Chief Organiser. Ambassador Amit Narang in his brief address wished the community blessings of the holy month and appreciated the efforts of the organizers.
Later Dr Wasifuddin and Ismail Baig presented a copy of holy Quran with English translation to the Ambassador. Said Al Riyami, Director Dawah Center made special “Dua” after Maghrib prayer.

The attendees included distinguished Hyderabadi Omanis like Colonel Dr Abid Ali, Dr Zaheer Aldin, Dr Sami and Jameel Shakeel.

Club for Growth moves to stop Jim Justice for Senate coronation

The current incumbent, Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin, has not said whether or not he will seek reelection and doesn’t plan to make an announcement until the end of the year. Should he run again, he faces an uphill battle, running in a presidential year in a state that Donald Trump won by 39 points in 2020.
The Club supported Mooney, a member of the ultraconservative House Freedom Caucus, in his 2022 run against GOP Rep. David McKinley for the seat he currently holds. But the group’s president, David McIntosh, had expressed support for both Mooney and Morrisey and the Club held off on an endorsement while both considered a Senate bid.
“Rep. Mooney has proven in his time in Congress that he is a conservative champion who will fight for lower taxes, safer streets, school freedom, and parental rights for the people of West Virginia,” McIntosh said in a statement. “Mooney will be a great US Senator and we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure he’s elected.”
The Club’s involvement could create a messy primary in a key state for Republicans, who are looking to reclaim the Senate majority.
Justice enjoys high approval ratings and massive personal wealth. He has met with NRSC Chair Steve Daines, who encouraged him to enter the race, according to a person familiar with the committee’s plans. The Mitch McConnell-aligned Senate Leadership Fund also released a poll showing Justice as the only candidate who can beat Manchin.
McIntosh told reporters earlier this year that his group did not align with Justice, a former Democrat, but that it was interested in getting involved in the race.
“He would be in what we would call the moderate camp,” McIntosh said of Justice in February. “So we wouldn’t support him in the primary.”

Apologise to journalist: Mumbai Press Club to Rahul over ‘Kyun hawa nikal gayi?’ remark

The Mumbai Press Club on Saturday released a statement condemning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on a journalist during his press conference on the same day.
The statement said that Gandhi publicly humiliated the journalist when the latter asked “tough questions” to the former.

“The job of a journalist is to ask questions and it is the duty of political leaders who call press conferences and engage with journalists to answer these questions with dignity and decorum. It is unfortunate that as the leader of one of the oldest political parties of the country, Mr Gandhi failed to respect the dignity of the Fourth Estate,” the Mumbai Press Club said.
The statement further read, “At a broader level, it is a matter of concern that political parties of all hues have been attempting to browbeat journalists using derogatory language and threats as a response to news reporting they find unpalatable. We once again appeal to all political actors to uphold the freedom of the press to report and provide critical comments. They must remember the fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression is a cornerstone of our democracy.”
“In this context, it will be appropriate for Mr Rahul Gandhi to make amends and offer an apology to the journalist concerned,” it concluded.
Gandhi was holding his first news conference after being dismissed as a Lok Sabha member on March 24.
The journalist was asking a question about the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) accusation that Gandhi’s comment about Modi’s surname is an ‘insult to the OBC (other backward classes) community’.
In response, the Congress politician told the journalist, “Don’t pretend to be a pressman…Kyun hawa nikal gayi?”
