Watch: Cow made chief guest for restaurant launch in Uttar Pradesh

    [ad_1]

Usually, when we scroll through our social media feed we see pictures of politicians, celebrities and other prominent personalities inaugurating an event.

Enter Uttar Pradesh and everything makes sense. Be it a cow made to inaugurate a restaurant.

Yes! Yes! you heard it right. A cow was the special guest of honour that inaugurated an organic dining restaurant named Organic Oasis. The event happened in Lukhnow.

    MS Education Academy

Interestingly, the restaurant is owned by a former senior police officer by the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh. Singh “invited a desi cow” for the inauguration ceremony.

In a video shared by ANI, the special guest cow adorned in a vibrant yellow outfit is seen taken to the restaurant’s kitchen where it is made to eat.

Singh maintains that a healthy body is vital for good sustainable life. “Unfortunately, one gets food of produce laced with chemical fertilizers and pesticides. I think this will be the first such restaurant in India that will have its own production, control and processing. People will feel the difference in food after having and demand it,” the former police officer said.

Located at the Shusant Gold City at Millennium adjacent to Lulu Mall, Organic Oasis promises to utilise raw food materials manufactured fresh from the farmlands.

According to Singh, the cow is a big economic source. “I would always prefer gau mata as the guest of honour to my restaurant,” he said.

The DCW sought Gehlot’s urgent intervention and prompt action in the matter to ensure justice for the girl, who is a foreign national.

“Through this letter, I wish to bring to your kind attention towards a distressing incident of sexual harassment with a Korean vlogger in Jodhpur. As the Chairperson of the DCW, I am deeply disturbed by this heinous crime and seek your urgent intervention in the matter,” Maliwal wrote in her letter.

“The Commission has learnt that a Korean vlogger was harassed by a man in a fort in Jodhpur. The girl was walking in the fort when a man allegedly followed her, exposed his private parts, and engaged in lewd behaviour. The girl ran, screamed, and appealed for help. The entire incident was captured on video and has been widely circulated on social media,” the letter further stated.

I request you to ensure that a criminal complaint is filed against the man involved in this heinous act and that he is promptly arrested and brought to justice. I also urge you to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the survivor,” she said in her letter.

  • Missionaries take advantage when people lose faith in society: RSS chief on religious conversions

Missionaries take advantage when people lose faith in society: RSS chief on religious conversions

    [ad_1]

Burhanpur: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat, in an apparent reference to religious conversions, said on Sunday that missionaries take advantage of situations wherein people feel that the society is not with them.

He was addressing an event here, where he dedicated to the people the samadhi of Govindnath Maharaj.

“We don’t see our own people. We don’t go to them and ask them. But some missionary from thousands of miles away comes and lives there, eats their food, speaks their language and then converts them,” Bhagwat said.

    MS Education Academy

Over the course of 100 years, people came to India to change everything, he said.

They have been working here for centuries but failed to gain anything as our roots remained strong thanks to the efforts of our ancestors, Bhagwat said.

“Efforts are made to uproot them. So, the society should understand that deceit. We have to strengthen the faith,” he said.

Deceptive people raise some questions about religion to waver the faith, he said, adding, “Our society never faced such people earlier so people get sceptical…We have to remove this weakness.”

Bhagwat said, “Even after this, our society doesn’t waver. But people change when they lose faith and feel that the society is not with them.”

The RSS chief said that an entire village in Madhya Pradesh became “sanatani” 150 years after they locals got converted to Christianity as they got help from Kalyan Ashram (an RSS-backed voluntary organisation).

“We don’t need to go abroad to spread our faith as ‘sanatan dharma’ doesn’t believe in such practices. We need to remove the deviation and distortion of the Bharatiya traditions and faith here (in India) and strengthen the roots of our ‘dharma’,” he said.

Bhagwat also addressed a Dharma Sabha and visited Gurdwara Badi Sangat to pay obeisance.

After visiting the gurdwara, he said that Guru Granth Sahib is a source of inspiration for the Hindus.

On Monday, Bhagwat is scheduled to inaugurate the office building of Dr Hedgewar Memorial Committee at Saraswati Nagar and also address the Sangh volunteers in Burhanpur.

SAD chief alleges ‘scam’ in Punjab’s excise policy, seeks questioning of CM Mann

    [ad_1]

Jalandhar: SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal on Sunday alleged a “scam” in the Punjab government’s excise policy, seeking that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann be questioned in the matter like his counterpart in Delhi.

He alleged that the Punjab excise policy had been “patterned” on the Delhi excise policy.

“Just like in the Delhi policy, the AAP government in Punjab created a monopoly in the liquor trade by handing over the entire business to a few contractors,” Badal said.

    MS Education Academy

“While the scam had been exposed in Delhi, the AAP continued to loot the public exchequer in Punjab as it had extended the excise policy by another year,” he further alleged in a statement issued here.

Badal said only a CBI inquiry and a thorough questioning of the Punjab chief minister can “unmask this scam”.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was questioned by the CBI on Sunday in the excise policy case, amid protests by his party as the AAP chief accused the agency of acting at the behest of the BJP.

In a five-minute video message on Twitter before arriving at the heavily fortified headquarters of the Central Bureau of Investigation at around 11 am, Kejriwal claimed that the BJP might have ordered the agency to arrest him.

AAP leader Manish Sisodia was arrested on February 26 after nearly eight hours of questioning in the case.

  • KCR should apologise to Dalits, says Telangana BJP chief

KCR should apologise to Dalits, says Telangana BJP chief

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday demanded that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao apologise to Dalits for what he called betraying the community.

Sanjay said Chief Minister KCR “failed” to fulfill the promise to make a Dalit the first chief minister of Telangana. He alleged that KCR also went back on his promise to give three acres of land to every Dalit family.

Sanjay alleged that the lands of Dalits were being encroached in the state. He was talking to reporters after paying tributes to Dr B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary at BJP office.

    MS Education Academy

The BJP leader asked didn’t KCR take part in Ambedkar Jayanti and Vardhanthi programmes all these years. “Didn’t KCR insult Babasaheb by asking to rewrite the Constitution,” asked Sanjay.

He said if KCR was sincere about the economic empowerment of Dalits, he should release a white paper on the Dalit Bandhu scheme. He also wanted to know why the BRS government was taking education and medicine away from the poor without providing funds for fee reimbursement and Arogyasri.

On the installation of the 125-feet statue of Ambedkar in Hyderabad, the BJP leader claimed that the statue has seen the light of the day only because BJP raised the issue. He alleged that KCR was only focused on the Secretariat and had stopped work on the statue.

Terming KCR “anti-Dalit”, Sanjay said KCR had no right to unveil the statue of Ambedkar as he had insulted the late leader by not participating in his birth and death anniversary programmes in the past and by demanding to re-write the Indian Constitution.
