Disgusted by Public Actions of Luis Rubiales: Alex Morgan, Iker Casillas, Barcelona Condemn Spanish FA Chief

In a scorching reprimand of Luis Rubiales, the Leader of the Spanish Football League (RFEF), unmistakable figures from the universe of football have communicated their aggregate disappointment and judgment of Rubiales’ new open activities. Among those scrutinizing the Spanish FA boss are worldwide soccer sensation Alex Morgan, incredible goalkeeper Iker Casillas, and the renowned football club Barcelona.

Rubiales, who has stood firm on the foothold of RFEF President beginning around 2018, has as of late experienced harsh criticism for his questionable comments and activities, which have raised worries among the worldwide football local area. In a joint proclamation, the triplet of conspicuous figures voiced areas of strength for them.

Alex Morgan, the profoundly enlivened American footballer and double cross FIFA Ladies’ Reality Cup champion, minced no words in her judgment of Rubiales. “I’m completely disturbed by the new activities and proclamations made by Luis Rubiales,” said Morgan. “As a backer for the upsides of inclusivity, variety, and regard inside the universe of football, I find his way of behaving unsatisfactory. It conflicts with the actual quintessence of what our game ought to address.”

Iker Casillas, the famous previous Spanish public group skipper and goalkeeper, repeated Morgan’s feelings. “The way of behaving showed by Mr. Rubiales isn’t befitting of a forerunner in our footballing local area,” Casillas commented. “We ought to all endeavor to advance the best parts of our game, like fair play, regard, and solidarity. His new activities have been an obvious takeoff from these standards.”

Indeed, even Barcelona, one of Spain’s most eminent football clubs, said something regarding the matter. The club made an announcement communicating their anxiety about the condition of football administration in Spain. “Barcelona FC is profoundly pained by the new direct of the Leader of the RFEF,” the assertion read. “We accept that the footballing administration ought to motivate trust and solidarity. It is our expectation that the RFEF can determine these issues quickly and recapture the certainty of the footballing local area.”

While the particular activities of Rubiales that provoked areas of strength for this poor person been nitty gritty in the proclamation, obviously the triplet of football figures is joined in their conviction that his lead is negative to the game and its qualities.

The analysis from Alex Morgan, Iker Casillas, and Barcelona reflects developing worries inside the footballing scene about the initiative and administration of Spanish football. As these voices consolidate to censure Rubiales’ activities, it is not yet clear how the RFEF and its Leader will answer this resonating objection from unmistakable individuals from the worldwide football local area.

The assertion from these persuasive figures brings up significant issues about the course of Spanish football and the qualities that ought to direct its authority. As the circumstance unfurls, almost certainly, more voices from the inside and beyond Spain will keep on saying something regarding this combative issue.

  • Senate tax chief says billionaire Crow ‘stonewalling’ over perks for Clarence Thomas

Senate tax chief says billionaire Crow ‘stonewalling’ over perks for Clarence Thomas

    [ad_1]

    ron wyden 58506

Wyden had asked for details on the gifts Crow lavished on Thomas for over two decades, as reported by ProPublica, that included trips aboard the billionaire’s superyacht to Indonesia, New Zealand and Greece and free use of his private jet.

Although Thomas neglected to report the gifts on his annual disclosure forms, Wyden argued they were substantial enough that Crow would have been obligated to report them on his annual gift tax returns to the IRS.

On Tuesday, Wyden repeated a vow he had previously made to use “any of the tools at [the committee’s] disposal” to compel answers from Crow and said he would confer with his Democratic colleagues on Finance.

In the letter to Wyden that was obtained by POLITICO, Crow’s attorney, Michael D. Bopp, argued that the Finance Committee lacks authority to compel the gift records from Crow and is “attempting to tarnish the reputation of a sitting Supreme Court Justice and his friend of many years, Mr. Crow.”

The committee’s next steps could include subpoenaing Crow for the requested records or using a section of the tax code that vests the chairs of Congress’ tax committees with the authority to obtain a private citizen’s tax returns directly from Treasury — a power that House Democrats used last year to publish the taxes of former President Donald Trump.

Attorneys for Trump had tried to derail that effort by insisting Democrats lacked a “legitimate legislative purpose” for seeking his returns, but federal courts rejected the argument in that case. Democrats had maintained throughout the litigation that obtaining Trump’s taxes was necessary to examine a program at the IRS that required the auditing of all sitting presidents.

Bopp used a similar argument in defense of withholding Crow’s information, saying the committee has jurisdiction of federal gift tax laws but is not empowered to initiate tax audits to expose the activities of private citizens.

Wyden countered that “the assertion that the Finance Committee lacks a legislative basis for an investigation of the abuse of gift taxes by the wealthy is simply preposterous.”

“I have used my Chairmanship of the committee to shine a bright light on tax schemes undertaken by the ultra-wealthy, including untaxed transfers of wealth,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sen. Mike Crapo, the top Republican on the Finance Committee, made it clear Tuesday that he would oppose any efforts to force Crow to provide the information, saying they would “undermine the independence of the Supreme Court and its individual Justices.”

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and 13 other Republican senators also wrote to Wyden on Monday to express concerns about Wyden’s request to Crow. The GOP lawmakers asserted the demands amounted to intimidation of a private citizen that had the ultimate goal of discrediting Thomas.

“We reject this manufactured ‘ethics crisis’ at the Supreme Court as a ploy to further Democrats’ efforts to undermine public confidence and change the makeup of the Court,” the Republicans wrote.

  • Kejriwal House Row: LG seeks chief secy’s report on Delhi CM’s house renovation

Kejriwal House Row: LG seeks chief secy’s report on Delhi CM’s house renovation

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena has sought a detailed report from the chief secretary within a week into allegations levelled by Congress leader Ajay Maken about “extravagant” expenditure and violations in the renovation of the chief minister’s official residence.

Also, the National Green Tribunal has formed a panel, which includes the chief secretary, to ascertain the factual position after a petition claimed violation of environmental norms by the public works department (PWD) in carrying out constructions at the chief minister’s residence and properties adjacent to it.

However, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) hit out at Maken over his letter to the LG in which he has sought a probe into the alleged violations, calling him a puppet of the BJP in Delhi and stating that false claims were being made to tarnish Kejriwal’s image.

    MS Education Academy

In a letter to the LG, Congress’ senior spokesperson Ajay Maken had claimed that the amount spent on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence was not Rs 45 crore but Rs 171 crore and that too during the time of the Covid pandemic when people were struggling to get hospital beds and oxygen.

Maken had also expressed his deep concern and disappointment regarding the “extravagant” expenditure, environmental damage, and violation of heritage protection and zonal plans in the construction of the chief minister’s residence in Delhi.

After receiving the letter, the L-G in a communication to the chief secretary directed that a report be submitted to him within seven days.

“Hon’ble LG has desired that a detailed report on each of the issues raised in the aforesaid representation be furnished within seven days,” the communication read.

The NGT, meanwhile, asked the committee it has set up to submit a report within three weeks and in case of violations, take remedial action in coordination with the statutory authorities in accordance with law.

It was hearing a petition alleging permanent and semi-permanent constructions were raised and more than 20 trees cut in the course of developing 6, Flag Staff Road (CM’s residence) and 45-47 Rajpur Road (properties adjoining it).

“In view of the significance of the requirement of compliance for cutting trees and providing green belt as a condition for constructions in the congested and polluted city of Delhi, we consider it necessary to ascertain the factual position by constituting a joint committee ,” a bench of chairperson Justice A K Goel said.

The bench constituted the committee comprising the chief secretary and Principal Secretary (Environment & Forest) of Delhi along with a nominee of the Delhi Urban Art Commission (DUAC) and the District Magistrate of North Delhi.

“Meeting of the committee may be held within one week and report may be furnished within three weeks from today The committee will be free to interact with any other department or authority and undertake a visit to the site and it may meet online or offline as may be found viable,” the bench said.

The AAP alleged that the BJP and Congress are colluding against it.

“Everyone knows that this is a false case meant to tarnish the image of Kejriwal ji. Ajay Maken’s complaint shows that BJP and Congress are both together and working against AAP,” it alleged in a statement on the LG’s decision.

“Ajay Maken is a puppet of the BJP in Delhi. What does the Congress have to say about the Rs 2000 cr liquor scam in Chhattisgarh?” the party said,

Claiming that the renovation of the chief minister’s house has violated the Master Plan Delhi (MPD) 2021, Maken had alleged that it has been constructed in the Civil Lines Old Bungalow Zone, an area protected under MPD 2021.

The AAP has maintained that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence was built in 1942 and the roof had collapsed thrice. Following the roof collapse incidents, the Public Works Department suggested a new house be built, the party had said `

“The construction of the new CM house has cost the exchequer around Rs 171 crore, with 15 out of 22 officers’ houses adjacent to CM’s house at Flagstaff Road being demolished or got vacated,” he said.

“The rest have been asked to not re-allot with time. This figure (Rs 171 crore) includes around Rs 126 crore spent on purchasing 21 new Type 5 flats in the CWG Village to compensate for the housing shortage,” the former Delhi Congress chief had claimed in the letter.

“I thus request you to conduct an inquiry into the matter. And if found guilty, grant sanction for prosecution of the principal beneficiary, the chief minister and the principal perpetrator the PWD minister of GNCTD,” Maken had said.

The BJP has accused the city’s AAP government of having splurged Rs 45 crore on renovating and refurbishing the official residence of Chief Minister Kejriwal.

“I keep calling on Chief Justice Roberts to make a move and say something and solve this problem,” Durbin told host Jake Tapper. “He has the power to do it for the Roberts Court. But other justices can speak out as well.”

Durbin also said “everything is on the table” but didn’t offer any solutions that Congress could undertake on its own to impose policies on ethics for the nation’s highest court. But he said a strong policy is definitely needed to rebuild the court’s credibility.

    [ad_1]

Lucknow: Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Singh, accused of sexual harassment and intimidation by women wrestlers, has said that he would “hang himself if even a single allegation against him was proved”.

In a video message released on Sunday, Singh said, “I will hang myself even if a single allegation against me is proved. The matter is with the Delhi Police, so I won’t be able to speak much in detail on the matter. I have been saying this from the first day if these wrestlers have any video evidence against me. You should ask anyone who is associated with wrestling. Is Brij Bhushan Ravana?”

Singh said that he was recording the video message on the way to his home in Gonda from Delhi.

    MS Education Academy

He further said, “Except these wrestlers (who are protesting), ask anyone if I have done anything wrong. I have given 11 years of my life to wrestling, to this country.”

The wrestlers have alleged that there has been a delay from the government in releasing the report of the committee that was formed to look into the allegations against Brij Bhushan Singh.

The protesting wrestlers also want the WFI chief to be stripped of his portfolio.

Two FIRs have been lodged against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at the Connaught Place Police Station. The first FIR pertains to allegations levelled by a minor victim and is registered under the POCSO Act, along with relevant IPC sections concerning outraging of modesty, etc.

The Supreme Court, while hearing an urgent plea on the matter, concluded that filing of FIRs served the purpose of the plea filed by the protesting grapplers. The court also rejected petitioner’s plea for a court-monitored probe.
