    Indian Army Changes Agniveer Recruitment Process, Check details

    The Indian Army has announced a major change in the Agniveer recruitment procedure as the candidates will have to undergo an online test as the first step.

    The process previously involved a physical test followed by a medical test and finally the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) online at designated centres. This amended procedure will be applicable from this year itself. Online registration for this year’s recruitment process will open in mid-February.

    In an official notice issued by the Army, it was revealed that the new procedure starts with the online CEE after registration. If the candidates clear the entrance exam, they will be shortlisted for the recruitment rally including a medical examination.

    The next step will be the Allocation of Arms and services and those making the final cut will be asked to report at the training centre. “The changed methodology will ensure increased focus on cognitive aspect during selection. It will have wider outreach across the country and also reduce the large crowds seen during recruitment rallies to make them more manageable and easier to conduct,” the notice read. Meanwhile, the candidates can practise for the Agniveer online exam by visiting the Indian Army’s official website where category-wise links are being hosted. They can also check the website for queries on ‘How to register’ and How to Appear in Online Common Entrance Exam’.

    • Equitable/ Registered Mortgage of house property/flat to be constructed/ purchased.  (House property to include land underneath & appurtenant thereto in case independent house only).
    • The title of the property must be clear, marketable and free from encumbrance.
    • Where  mortgage  of     house  /flat  cannot  be   created immediately and / or possession of house / flat is not given in situations like house/flat or under construction house / flat or to be constructed house/ flat  is being purchased/ from   the   Housing   Board/        Co-operative   Society   / Development  Authority/  Construction  Company/  Builder and   title/conveyance   deed   is   executed   in   favour   of purchaser   only   after    completion   of   full   or   partial construction after  purchaser making full payment of the cost   of   house/flat,      a   tripartite   agreement   shall   be executed  amongst  the

    • No collateral security /3rd  party guarantee is required in all cases except in case of following:
      • Pensioners- guarantee of spouse / Legal Heir(s), who is / are entitled for family pension.
      • NRIs- 3rd party guarantee of two resident Indians of sufficient means to cover the liability apart  from the other securities shall be obtained.
      • Loans upto Rs.5.00 lacs (Rs.10.00 lacs in case of employees Goverenment of UT of J & K and UT of Ladakh) to be granted for the purpose of repairs/ additions/alterations /extension of existing houses, where the mortgage of the house property is not taken as security.

    Despite a decline in the price of crude oil on the global market, Indian Oil Companies have not announced any modification in the price of the two main motor fuels. Following the presentation of the Union Budget 2023 in Parliament on Wednesday, February 1, the price of Petrol and diesel remained unchanged. There has been a price freeze since the Center decreased the excise duty on Petrol and diesel on May 21, 2022.

    The Union Budget for 2023-24 announced investment of Rs 30,000 crore to state-owned fuel retailers to make up for the massive losses they ran because of holding petrol and diesel prices despite rise in cost in a bid to help the government contain inflation.

    Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has allocated the money under the head “capital support to oil marketing companies.” It offered no explanation why the blue chip, cash rich oil PSUs should need capital support.
