Hyderabad: The news of a rift between actor Naga Chaitanya and director Parasuram has been making the rounds in Tollywood recently. The two had a falling out after Parasuram allegedly duped Naga Chaitanya out of a project in favour of Mahesh Babu’s ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata.’
Parasuram approached Naga Chaitanya with a script and even registered the name ‘Nageswara Rao.’ Naga Chaitanya was excited to work with the director of hits like ‘Geeta Govindam,’ but just as production was about to begin, Parasuram changed his mind and chose Mahesh Babu’s film instead.
The director’s actions understandably hurt Naga Chaitanya, and even though Parasuram later attempted to resurrect their collaboration, the actor was too deeply hurt to consider it. Naga Chaitanya was frank in his criticism of Parasuram in a recent interview with GreatAndhra, “I don’t want to waste time talking about him. He squandered my time. I don’t want to waste time worrying about it,” he explained.

Parasuram is now working on his next project, which will be produced by Dil Raju and star Vijay Deverakonda. It remains to be seen whether this new collaboration will be a success, but one thing is certain Naga Chaitanya and Parasuram’s relationship has been irreparably harmed. Because the Tollywood industry is known for its close relationships between actors and directors, this feud has piqued the interest of both fans and industry insiders. NTR’s ‘Chaitanya Ratham’ centre of attraction on TDP foundation day

Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP), on its 41st formation day on Wednesday, showcased in Hyderabad its founder N. T. Rama Rao’s famous ‘Chaitanya Rathama’ which had helped him catapult to power in undivided Andhra Pradesh in early 1980s.
The TDP put on display the 1940 model Chevrolet van used by NTR for a state-wide campaign, at a meeting organised at Exhibition Grounds in Hyderabad to mark the formation day of the party.
With the ‘Chaitanya Ratham’ (chariot of awakening), NTR had introduced the new trend of the Rath Yatra in politics. He undertook a state-wide journey in this vehicle to address roadside meetings in all the districts to instill a sense of self-respect among Telugus.

With this customised Chevrolet van, which is said to have logged 75,000 km, NTR changed the course of Andhra Pradesh politics.

Interestingly, NTR’s son Harikrishna had also become famous as ‘Ratha sarathi’ (charioteer) of ‘Chaitanya Ratham’.

TDP national President and former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu along with party leaders from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana went down the memory lane with a close look at the historic campaign vehicle.

He said NTR brought recognition to Telugus across the world and strived for their all-round development. He said the TDP would continue to work in both the states to fulfill NTR’s ideals.

Student suicide: Telangana govt derecognises Sri Chaitanya College

Hyderabad: Acting tough on the suicide of an intermediate student, the Telangana government on Monday cancelled affiliation of a corporate junior college where the deceased was studying.
The Board of Intermediate Education announced the cancellation of affiliation of Sri Chaitanya College, Narsingi, where 16-year-old Satwik hanged himself due to harassment by the principal, teacher and others. The order will come into effect from next academic year.
The intermediate first-year (Class 11) student hanged himself in the classroom after study hours on the night of February 28.
In a suicide note, the student wrote that he was taking the extreme step due to mental torture by the principal and three others.
Based on the suicide letter and a complaint lodged by the student’s parents, police arrested principal (Administration) Akalanakam Narasimha Chary, principal Tiyyaguru Siva Ramakrishna Reddy, warden Kandaraboina Naresh, and vice principal Vontela Shoban Babu. They were sent to judicial custody.
Police have charged the four with harassment and insulting the victim in the name of studies, thereby forcing him to take the extreme step.
Police in its remand report stated that the principal and others used insulting words and even beat up Satwaik in front of other students, making him mentally upset. On the day when the student died by suicide, his parents had come to the college to meet him. After they left, Chary and Ramakrishna Reddy used foul language.
Meanwhile, the education department on Monday held a meeting with representatives of various private colleges to discuss ways to prevent such incidents. The Board of Intermediate Education decided to constitute a committee to control misleading advertisements by the colleges.

The officials also announced that action will be taken against the colleges conducting classes beyond the fixed hours. Board of Intermediate Education Secretary Sunil Mittal said that the biometric system will be implemented next academic year.
