Telangana: Bandi challenges KCR to show his degree certificates

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party president Bandi Sanjay on Tuesday challenged chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to disclose his post-graduate degree certificates, before talking about the educational qualifications of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“KCR has claimed to have completed his M Sc in political science. Let him disclose his certificates if he has guts, instead of making a hue and cry over the educational qualifications of the Prime Minister,” Sanjay said, while speaking to media after inspecting the arrangements for Modi’s public meeting scheduled to be held on April 8.

Sanjay said the Prime Minister would be coming to Hyderabad to flag off Vande Bharat Express, besides kickstarting the modernisation works of Secunderabad railway station and other projects.

“He would be addressing a rally at Secunderabad parade grounds at 10.30 am and I request all sections of people to attend his meeting in big numbers,” he said.

Reacting to the comments of KCR and his son KT Rama Rao on Modi’s educational qualifications, Sanjay said the Prime Minister had read the ‘entire Indian society’ and was leading the country on the ‘path of progress’.

“What has KCR studied? He claimed to have studied M Sc (political science). Let him disclose his certificate. He has done masters degree in making fake passports and creating fake certificates,” he alleged.

Recalling the Bharat Rashtra Samithi president’s claim that he had studied 80,000 books, Sanjay said the knowledge earned from those books was being used in running ‘drug, gambling and liquor mafia’, besides taking ‘huge kickbacks’ in the name of ‘commissions’. “KCR and his family members are educated fools,” he said.

Stating that KCR had converted a revenue surplus state into a state ridden with Rs 5 lakh crore debts. “BRS has become an acronym for beer, rum and scotch party. It is a gang of international dacoits, who looted the state through various schemes and scams,” he said.

Sanjay said while there have been a series of leaks of question papers, KCR and his family members are parking their ‘ill-gotten money’ in foreign countries. “His family which was confined to just a building at Nandinagar eight years ago had amassed huge wealth running into thousands of crores,” he alleged.

He claimed that senior journalist Rajdeep Sardesai had said that KCR had offered to bear the election expenditure of all the opposition parties in the country if he was made the chairman of the opposition alliance. “It clearly shows how much ill-gotten money KCR had made to fund the election expenditure of all parties in the world,” he criticised.

The BJP president reiterated his demand for the resignation of KCR and the sacking of his son KT Rama Rao from the cabinet for the TSPSC question paper leakage and the leakage of Class X papers. “Has KCR ever reviewed their activities? Even the education minister should also resign,” he said.

Stating that the BJP would continue to fight till the culprits in the TSPSC question paper leakage are brought to book, Sanjay announced that very soon, the party would organise a march of the unemployed at Warangal with thousands of unemployed youth.

“Similar march would be held in all the district headquarters and later, a massive public meeting would be held in the state capital,” he declared.

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao on Tuesday alleged that two MPs of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Telangana hold forged educational certificates from Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu universities.

“Looks like we have too many MunnaBhai, MBBS types in BJP,” tweeted KTR, who is also a minister in Telangana cabinet.

“2 BJP MPs from Telangana are also allegedly Fake Certificate holders… Have forged certificates from Rajasthan & TN universities,” he wrote.

    MS Education Academy

“Isn’t it a criminal offence to lie in your election affidavit on whose basis MP gets elected? Should the LS speaker not ascertain & disqualify if found guilty?,” he asked.

Last week, KTR had mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi by offering to show his degrees.

“I have a Masters Degree in Biotechnology from Pune University. Also have a Masters Degree in Business Administration from City University of New York. Can share both certificates publicly. Just Saying,” KTR had tweeted after Gujarat High Court ruled that the Prime Minister’s Office need not furnish the degree and postgraduate degree certificate of Prime Minister Modi.

The court had set aside the order of the Chief Information Commission (CIC) directing the Public Information Officer (PIO) of PMO and PIOs of Gujarat University and Delhi University to furnish details of Modi’s graduate and postgraduate degrees.

Meanwhile, the BRS leader also took a dig at the Prime Minister for his direction to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) not to spare any corrupt person.

“With exceptions of ……,” tweeted KTR, who posted a video clip of Modi’s speech at CBI’s diamond jubilee celebrations.

“Joke of the century,” added the BRS leader.

‘Can share my certificates’: KTR pokes fun at PM Modi on degree row

    [ad_1]

Hyderabad: BRS working president and Telangana minister KT Rama Rao on Friday mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ‘degree certificate’ issue and said that he has no problem sharing his certificates publicly.

“I have a Masters Degree in Biotechnology from Pune University Also have a Masters Degree in Business Administration from City University of New York Can share both certificates publicly Just Saying,” he said without naming the Prime Minister.

KTR’s comments come amidst the Gujarat High Court ruling on Friday that the degree and post-graduate degree certificate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are not required to be provided by the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Judge Biren Vaishnav’s one-judge panel overturned the Chief Information Commission’s (CIC) directive to the PMO, Gujarat University, and Delhi University PIOs to provide information about Modi’s undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was also charged 25,000 rupees in expenses by the Gujarat high court for his request for the PM’s degree certificate’s specifics. The Gujarat University appealed the Chief Information Commission’s decision, and the high court was now hearing it.

“In a democracy, there won’t be a difference if a person holding the office is a doctorate or an illiterate. Also, there is no public interest involved in this issue. Even his privacy is affected”, legal website Bar and Bench quoted Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, who was appearing for the university.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that he earned his undergraduate degree from Gujarat University in 1978 and his postgraduate degree from Delhi University in 1983.

Kejriwal’s lawyer Percy Kavina argued that, “If you see the nomination form (filed during elections), it mentions his educational qualifications. Thus, we are asking for a degree certificate and not his marksheet”.

  • DC Nullifies ALC Certificates Of JKAS Officers, Siblings

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: While delivering a rare and historical adjudication, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch quashed ALC certificates of two JKAS officers, who had managed selection in the Combined Administrative Services through Public Service Commission in the Jammu and Kashmir during 2017.

During 2017, both officers were appointed based on the ALC category issued by the Tehsildar Mendhar at the time. The selection list was released on December 18, 2017.

Sumit Kumar Sharma and his sister Sunaina Sharma, who are siblings and residents of Ari in Mendhar, belong to the Poonch district’s Mendhar Sub Division. District Magistrate Inder Jeet, while issuing an order in his court, cancelled the ALC (Resident of Actual Line of Control) certificates of both individuals. The reason for the cancellation was that the certificates were issued against the mandate of Jammu Kashmir Reservation Act 2004.

According to the detailed order, there were blatant irregularities in the issuance of the certificates, with the issuing authority and other officials acting in a casual and careless manner.

Inder Jeet instructed the SDM Mendhar to conduct an investigation into the entire issue within a specified timeframe. The appellants’ counsels, Mobeen Khan and Alyas Khawaja, stated that the judgment was detailed, reasoned, and historical. The court delved deeply into the matter by annulling the ALC certificates of all siblings, except for Jyoti Sharma, daughter of Harbans Lal Sharma, who is a resident of Ari and currently resides in Gohlad in Mendhar.

On May 29, 2018, Anjum Imtiaz, daughter of Imtiaz Ahmed Khan and a JKAS aspirant from Harni in Mendhar challenged the ALC certificates of Sumit Kumar Sharma, Sunaina Sharma, Jyoti Sharma, Amit Kumar Sharma, Ram Murti Sharma, and Harbans Lal. These certificates were issued by the Tehsildar Mendhar and were deemed illegal, arbitrary, against the facts and law, and void ab-initio, according to her appeal in the court of District Magistrate Poonch. She also contested that the respondents’ income exceeded the ceiling prescribed by SRO-294, which is Rs 3 lakh from all sources except agriculture, during 2011.

To claim benefits under the Backward Area Certificate or ALC, a person must demonstrate that they have resided in the area for at least 15 years prior to the application date. However, in this case, the individuals in question did not meet this requirement. They had relocated to Jammu for an extended period, and Harbans Lal, a government employee, was unable to deceive the authorities about his income. The District Magistrate’s court also reviewed the local school certificates of these individuals.

“After going through the facts, it has been observed that appeal succeeds on merit and the impugned ALC category certificate issued by Tehsildar Mendhar on 14-7-2011 in favour of respondents (Except respondent No 3 Jyoti Sharma), are cancelled ab-initio. However, in view of the condition imposed by the High Court of J&K in its order dated 22-10-2019 passed in WP (C) No. 3897/2019, in case titled Sumit Kumar Sharma Vs State of J&K and others, the decision of this court shall remain subject to the final outcome of writ petition pending before the High Court,” the DM’s order said.

SDM Mendhar was directed to conduct in-depth inquiry into the acts of omission and commission on the part of concerned officials while processing and issuing the said certificates, by fixing responsibility, within two weeks. It is pertinent to mention here that it is just a tip of an iceberg, even in issuance of RBA certificates huge irregularities have been committed to obtain such benefit in Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Udhampur, Kishtwar besides other parts of Kashmir valley. Many heads may roll if such an inquiry is ordered by concerned authorities in various districts.

Four certificates are in circulation on social media, one is issued in the name of Jaya Bachchan, her age is shown as 23; and the vaccination certificate is issued by Mendapara Primary Health Center.

From the same centre, another certificate has been issued in the name of cricketer Mohammad Kaif, his age is shown as just 22 years old.
