    Hideout Busted In South Kashmir, Arms And Ammunition Recovered

    SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday said it busted a LeT militant hideout and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in Rakh Momin area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

    In a statement, a spokesperson said on the intervening night of 12th and 13th of March on the basis of a specific input developed over a period of time by Anantnag Police, a joint CASO along with army’s 1RR was launched in Rakh Momin Dangi area Bijbehara.

    The statement reads search in the area led to busting of a LET hideout and subsequent recovery of huge cache of arms, ammunition and other war like stores.

    It reads that the recovery includes IED’s (05 No’s) PTD’s programmed timer devices and RCIEDs, Detonators (06 No’s), Pistols (03 No’s), Pistol Magazines (05 No’s), Ammunition (09mm rounds = 124 No’s), Remote controls (04 No’s) and Batteries (13 No’s).

    “In this regard, Case FIR No. 58/2023 stands registered in PS Bijbehara under relevant sections of law and investigation set into motion,” it reads. (KNO)

    Srinagar, March 12:  Police on Sunday claimed to have busted a hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in Hangnikoot area of North Kashmir’s Handwara.

    In a handout to GNS, the police said that on 11 March 2023, a search was conducted by Handwara Police in Shalnar Hangnikoot. During search of the area, an old dump of arms and ammunition was unearthed which included 01 AK 47 rifle with 02 magazines and 75 rounds, 10 grenades, 26 Ubgl grenades, 08 UBGL boosters, 02 Flame throwers, 05 Rocket shells and 03 rocket boosters.

    According to police spokesman, based on this, FIR no. 19/2023 has been registered at Police Station Vilgam under relevant sections of law and investigation initiated, it said.(GNS)

    ‘Heroine, Cash Recovered From House Of Notorious Drug Peddler’

    Jammu, Mar 3 (GNS): Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday said to have busted a narco-terror module in Poonch district.

     “A huge quantity of heroine and cash was recovered from the house of a notorious drug peddler from Poonch namely Rafi Dhana, alias Rafi Lala”, said a police spokesperson in a statement issued to GNS.

    The accused, the statement reads, was detained under PSA being a notorious drug smuggler and resides close to the line of control in Poonch.

     “Today, on some inputs Poonch Police team led by Inspector Sunil and components of NCA and CRPF searched the house of Rafi. During search, 7 KGs of Heroine, around 2 crores of cash (counting going on) and a Pistol with 01 Magzine , 10 rounds along with seven rounds of SLR was recovered”, the statement maintains.

     “With this effort, Poonch Police and security forces have been able to bust a huge narco-terror module. The searches are still going on in presence of Magistrate and Prominent citizens.”

     “The nexus of this module with Punjab based narcotics smugglers is being investigated. A case has been registered at Police station Mandi and investigation set into motion”, the statement further reads. (GNS)

    Hyderabad: Seven people who were supplying fake educational certificates were nabbed by the sleuths of the commissioner’s task force along with Chaderghat police on Tuesday.

    The accused provided the needy aspirants with forged documents and raised huge amounts from them under the guise of helping them study abroad.

    Fake SSC, Intermediate and Degree certificates of various universities and boards, 11 cell phones, 4 laptops and cash worth Rs 20,000 were seized from their possession.

    Mohd Habeeb, 32, Abdul Rauf, 36, Mohd Irfan, 28, Shanawaz Khan, 29, Mohd Zubair 34, Salman Khan, 29, Mohd Abdul Sattar, 33, Sunil Kapoor (absconding) were arrested by the police.

    The prime accused Mohd Habeeb, a resident of Bazarghat came in contact with Sunil Kapoor from New Delhi who came to the city for educational marketing. They decided to provide fake educational certificates to needy aspirants struggling to go abroad for further studies.

    In 2015, Habeeb started a consultancy in the name of Fly Abroad Consultancy at Malakpet that provided fake educational certificates to aspirants by collecting huge amounts with the help of Sunil Kapoor. He was arrested by the Bahadurpura PS and Saroornagar PS in the same cases earlier but continued his illegal business after coming out of jail.

    He then joined Abdul Rawoof, (owner of Eduwise Overseas Consultancy at Abids), Md. Irfan (agent) and Shanawaz Khan (agent) shared the profit with them.

    Police have appealed to the citizens to not fall into the trap of these rackets and warned them of legal consequences if found guilty.

    Hyderabad: Seven of a gang involved in illegal sales of land, by preparing fake sale deed documents were held in a raid by the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda along with Bibinagar Police on Saturday.

    Nine fake sale deed documents, two cars, seven cell phones, net-cash worth Rs 7 lakhs and other incriminating material were seized from their possession.

    The accused were booked under Sections 420 (Cheating and dishonestly), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (cognizable, bailable, and non-compoundable) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of Bibinagar.

    Dadi Dharmender Reddy (Dharma Reddy), 50, DonthiSathi Reddy, 55, Syed Naseer Ur Rahman, 54 (deceased), Mohammed Showkat Ali, 73, ChakaliRamu, 43, VallapuRamulu, 57, Gorre Ramesh, 55, Mohammad Ibrahim, 25, Balakrishna, 53 were accused of the crime.

    “While seven members of the gang were arrested, another two accused are on the run and one member among them has expired,” said a press note.

    According to the police, Dharma Reddy, previously involved in 18 similar cases, used to get certified copies of the identified land, create similar fake certificates and managed to get General Power of Attorney (GPA) with the assistance of other accused luring them to impersonate the owners of the land. The lands were then sold to innocent buyers by executing fraudulent sale deeds.

    Syed Naseer ur Rahman, an expert in creating forged land documents and Aadhar cards created fake documents on demand from Dharma Reddy.

    Dharma Reddy then directed Showkat Ali to produce similar age group persons as per the documents to impersonate the owner following which Showkath Ali produced ChakaliRamu (who acted as AGPA holder from K B Kurana), VallapuRamulu (who impersonated Anil Khurana), Gorre Ramesh (who impersonated as K.B Khurana), Md Ibrahim and V Balakrishna as witnesses.

    Dharma Reddy along with Sathi Reddy then sold the land worth Rs 65 lakh illegally to innocent victims.

    Hyderabad: The Special operations team (SOT) along with the LB Nagar police apprehended on Thursday arrested eight persons who were illegally transporting contraband Ganja from Odissa state to Hyderabad.

    The gang was selling to needy persons at Nagole under the limits of PS LB Nagar and seized (10) KGs of Ganaja from their possession.

    Shaik Abbas, a native of Suryapet Mandal is Peddler cum consumer and he along with others Maryada Dinesh Reddy,Srinivas Reddy,Cheruku Chandu,Sattu Sriram Charan Teja,Avula Sandeep,Azhar Pasha and Sahil Singh were allegedly involved in drugs peddling and consuming drugs.

    Police Commissioner Rachakonda DS Chauhan informed media that, the gang was illegally transporting ganja from neighbouring Odisha and selling it to the customers in and around Hyderabad.

    On a tip off information the SOT along with the LB Nagar police have apprehended the gang at Nagole under the limits of PS LB Nagar and seized ten KGs of Ganja from their possession.
