  • Tribals Not Getting Benefits Of Forest Rights Act: Altaf Bukhari

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Apni Party President, Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari on Friday said tribals and others categorised people were not getting benefits of Forest Rights Act on the ground in Rajouri although the FRA has been implemented by the Govt in JK.

The Forest Rights Act was implemented in Jammu and Kashmir by the Govt to benefit and give land rights to the tribals, and forest dwellers and their claims were also submitted to the respective committees framed by the concerned administration.

However, the people including tribals, and other forest dwellers were not given rights as per the rules. ‘“They preferred to adopt bulldozer politics and deprive people from their constitutional rights,” said Altaf Bukhari while addressing a one day worker’s convention in Taryath in Kalakote, Rajouri district.

He said that the poor and marginalized section of society, especially tribals in Rajouri like other parts of Jammu and Kashmir, were dependent upon the state and forest lands for decades. They made this barren land cultivable and their cattles would use the grazing yards. But they have been barred from grazing their cattles, and a drive on the name encroachment has also been launched.

Referring to the seasonal migration and difficulties faced by the tribal people while shifting from summer to winter zone Bukhari said, “The claims that the tribals are provided transportation facilities seem to have failed as the deserving tribal people continue to suffer. The providing of transportation to the tribals for seasonal migrations appears not to be benefiting to the seasonal migration of tribals with their cattles to upper reaches,” he said.

“The people across Jammu region and Kashmir regions have been facing equal issues, and their demand for holding assembly elections are not being accepted citing various reasons. It appears that a political party is not willing to contest polls in Jammu and Kashmir. The NC, BJP, Congress Party and PDP have ruled J&K for over 72 years, and they did nothing for the people. However, when Art 370 on August 5, 2019 was revoked and J&K was downgraded from a state, it was the Apni Party which came into being and then we struggled hard to resolve the issues of the people,” he added.

Altaf Bukhari said that the Apni Party ensured protection of jobs and land for the locals when the people were apprehensive of the central Govt’s approach and other traditional political parties were not willing to speak.

“We have no tinted leaders. Our leaders are committed to work for the people without discrimination. The people should vote and support the Apni Party in upcoming Assembly Elections in J&K. If we get a change, we will ensure good governance, equitable development by removing the disparity between rural and urban areas with regard to distribution of funds for development. We are committed to protect the natural resources, not allow non-local contractors to work in J&K and restore darbar move practice within 24 hours after forming the Govt,” he added.

While raising the issue of Jammu Migrants from Talwara, Poni, Reasi, Rajouri,  Bukhri said that the Jammu migrants should be treated at par with Kashmiri Pandit migrants.

“The Jammu migrants should be given equal status at par with Kashmiri Pandit migrants by providing them ration, relief package, accommodation, employment, reservation in educational institutions. The Jammu Migrants had to leave their homes decades back following threats but the Govt has not provided them facilities at par with the Kashmir migrants. This discrimination must end,” he added.

He assured that he will raise the issue of Jammu migrants with Union Home Minister, Amit Shah.

  • People From Jammu and Kashmir On Same Page For Protection Of Their Rights: Altaf Bukhari

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday said that people in Jammu and Kashmir are on the same page when it comes to the protection of their rights.

He emphasized that JK’s land, whether property land, state land, kahcharai, forests, mineral reserves, and other natural resources belong solely to thepooeple of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a party convention in the Sandoh area of Samba district in Jammu Bukhari emphasized on the importance of unity and harmony among people of Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of their regional identities and religious affiliations.

“The conventional politicians have been attempting to divide us on the basis of region, religion, ethnicity, and other factors to gain power and remain in power for decades. Over the past 70 years, these so-called politicians have driven people apart for their own political benefit, but the time has come when people of both the regions must bridge all the gaps and remain on a single page in order to protect their legal, democratic, and political rights.” he said.

Disputing the government’s claim that significant investments have been made in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “We have not observed any influx of investments into the region. If the government’s assertion that 70,000 crores have been invested in JK were accurate, people would have seen the economic dividends including new employments.”

He added, “Rather than providing job opportunities for the local population, outsiders are being given preference in the ongoing developmental projects. Ideally, locals should have been given priority for employment opportunities, but we observe that everyone from contractors to laborers is being brought in from outside, as if we have a shortage of manpower here in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Urging New Delhi to hold assembly elections in JK without a further delay, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “Selecting their own representatives to serve in the government is a fundamental democratic right that must not be denied to the people. We have faith in the democratic values of our country, and we aspire to the same rights that are enjoyed by people in other regions of the country.”

He further said, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir have suffered immensely over the past seven decades, bearing the brunt of wars in 1965, 1971, and 1999. They have been victims of killings, destruction, and bloodshed caused by the protracted phase of violence that began in 1990.”

Maintaining that people are entitled to some relief , Bukhari said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are entitled to some relief in the form of the restoration of their fundamental, democratic, legal, and political rights. Nobody must not forget that the Maharaja acceded to India due to its democratic values, thus, the people of JK deserve to enjoy the benefits of democracy.”

Apni Party President promised that if the party is elected to form the government, it will undertake a series of initiatives to ensure social justice and economic benefits for the people.

He said, “We have a vision and a roadmap to ensure the economic empowerment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. I assure you that we will ensure impartial development of all regions and prosperity for all citizens, regardless of their regional, religious, or political affiliations.”

Expressing his concern about the pathetic condition of those who are working as daily wagers in various government departments for years, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said, “I promise you that we will ensure regularization of the daily wagers within 30 days after we if elected, take charge of the government.”

Haamid Bukhari Represents ROC JK In Review Workshop On Prosecution Matters

    [ad_1]

SRINAGAR: The Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Manesar hosted a two-day workshop on March 1-2 that was presided over by the Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

The performance of all ROCs and Regional Directors was assessed during the workshop by the Additional Secretary and DG of Corporate Affairs, according to the statement, and a review of the “Court Cases” and “Prosecution issues” was performed.

The focus was put on bringing all Inquiry, Inspection, and Investigation matters to a logical conclusion. These lawsuits involve violations of several provisions of the Companies Act of 1956 and the Companies Act of 2013. If a prosecution is brought for an offence, the outcome of such conclusive exercise is either a punishment imposed by ROC through the adjudication procedure or a conviction by the lower court.

The Northern Region was represented by ROC NCT of Delhi & Haryana’s Pranay Chaturvedi as the evaluation of the prosecution issues started there. Haamid Bukhari, who represented ROC Jammu Kashmir, informed the senior administrators of the status of the various cases for which the prosecution had been brought either in the courts of CJMs or in the specialised courts of Additional Sessions Judges, Anti Corruption.

Most of these concerns pertain to cases that have already been the subject of an investigation or inquiry.  All the offices and regions were reviewed after the Northern Region, one by one.

It is worth noting that lately, ROCs have begun acting quickly to punish white-collar criminals and defaulting businesses for breaking the law. The fine issued against certain large corporations by the ROC Offices in Jammu and Srinagar, which totals more than Rs 50–60 lakh for violations of secretarial compliances, is deserving of note in this procedure.

Bukhari Sahab welcomed Sunny Sangral into the party fold along with dozens of youth and hoped that their joining would strengthen the party.

In his speech, he said that Apni Party has gained popularity among the youth in Jammu and Kashmir and the joining of Sunny Sangral has boosted the morale of the party’s youth wing.

He referred to various issues being confronted by the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially increasing unemployment, public concern regarding the anti-encroachment drive, unscheduled power cuts, slow pace of developmental activities, poor infrastructure in the health and education sector, etc.

“Our fight is against the elements who want to create division in the name of region and religion will continue. Apni Party is committed to bringing stability, peace, and prosperity,” he said.

Expressing concern over the continuous anti-encroachment drive, he said that ‘This Govt has no other option but to regularise the unauthorized colonies. Even the Govt in Delhi has regularised such colonies from time to time, but it seems they do not understand the issues of the poor people,’

He further said that ‘The elected Govt will take a decision regarding unauthorized colonies. The administration has no right to displace people from their land. If we form the next Govt, we will reverse anti-people decisions of the administration like stopping of the darbar move practice and anti-encroachment drives, etc.’

He criticized some elements who want to disturb peace in J&K on communal, and regional lines and erase the emotions of the people with the anti-encroachment drive.

He, however, appealed to the people to maintain peace and criticized the civil administration for its anti-encroachment drive.

Meanwhile, the Provincial President, of Jammu, S. Manjit Singh also spoke on the occasion and welcomed Sunny Sangral who joined Apni Party from the Samba district with his supporters.
