Mumbai : Is Shamita Shetty dating actor Aamir Ali? Has Shamita Shetty found a new love in her life? — all these questions have been doing the rounds on the internet after a video of Aamir planting a kiss on Shamita’s cheek went viral.

Addressing such speculation, Shamita took to Twitter and clarified that she is “single and happy.” She also took a dig at society for its “narrow-mindedness.”

She wrote, “I’m baffled by society and it’s convenient prudish mindset all across. Why is every action and every person subjected to scrutiny or snap judgement with no reality check? There are possibilities beyond the narrow-minded assumptions of the NETIZENS.”

“It’s high time we open our minds to it! Single n happy .. let’s focus on more important issues in this country,” Shamita added.

The dating rumours of Shamita with Aamir started after the two were recently spotted at a party together. In one of the paparazzi videos, Aamir was seen escorting Shamita to her car and giving her a peck on her cheek.

Shamita was previously dating Raqesh Bapat. The two fell in love during their ‘Bigg Boss OTT’ stint. However, the two parted ways after dating for a short period.
Shamita also announced her breakup with Raqesh via a social media statement back then.

“I think it’s important to make this clear. Rakesh and I are no longer together and have not been for a while, but this music video is for all the beautiful fans who have given us so much love and support. Do continue to shower us with your love as individuals too. Here is to positivity and Newer horizons love and gratitude to all,” she said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shamita will be seen in ‘Tenant’, which is scheduled to release on February 10.

Ranchi: A gunfight broke out between the police and Maoists belonging to the banned Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) on Sunday night in the Budhmu police station area of Ranchi.

During the encounter, more than 100 rounds were fired by both sides.

Police said that four extremists were injured in the gunfight, but they managed to escape into the thick forest.

During the search operation, the police recovered 777 rifle cartridges, seven walkie-talkies and many other items from the area.

The Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) in Ranchi received information about the presence of an armed squad of Naxalites in Sumo forest. A team under the command of DSP Animesh Naithani was sent to investigate.

As soon as the police team entered the forest, the Naxalites started firing. In response, the police also opened fire.

According to a police official, this squad of Naxalites is being led by TSPS area commander Dinesh Ganjhu alias Tiwari.

On January 23, the police had killed Vishal Sharma, area commander of the banned Naxalite organization People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) in a skirmish in the Thakurgaon police station area adjacent to Budhmu.

Treasury study shows stark racial differences in tax breaks, credits

    tax filing 37097

The new report is part of a push by the agency to examine how race intersects with the tax system.

“Given the increased reliance on the tax system as a means of delivering benefits in recent decades, it is critical that we understand how tax policies affect different families and whether policies implemented via the tax code are reaching all families,” agency officials said Friday in a blog post.

The IRS does not know the race of filers so Treasury developed a method of estimating the likely race of the person listed first on a return based on other information. It focused on White people, Black people and Hispanic people “due to high levels of uncertainty in estimates for other groups.”

“This new research provides evidence of the disparities in the benefits of tax expenditures by race and ethnicity, but more work remains to be done to understand the reasons for these disparities and their implications,” the Treasury said.

“Differences in income, wealth, job characteristics, employer, family composition, access to credit, and so forth may give rise to these disparities in conjunction with the structure of the tax code, but more work is needed to determine which differences contribute the most.”
