Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor who was last seen in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva has started promoting his upcoming movie ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ (TJMM). The actor who is known for romantic and comedy roles will be back in his original avatar after Sanju, Shamshera and Brahmastra. Ranbir enjoys a unique fan following and the trailer of his TJMM seemed like the actor is back with what he is best at. The actor who usually remains out of controversies and keeps himself away from social media is hitting the headlines now.

During one of his promotional event recently, the Saawariya actor gave a witty reply to a journalist who asked him about the bad phase of Bollywood at the box office.

In a video which surfaced online, the journalist asked the actor, “Ranbir Bollywood ka abhi thora dicey chal raha hai…(Bollywood is currently in a dicey phase).” Interrupting her, Ranbir answered, “Kya baat kar rahi hai? Pathaan ki collection dekhi nahi tune? (What are you saying? Have you not seen the box office collection of Pathaan?)”

Ranbir further asked reporter, “Pehle, aap kaunsi publication se ho (Which media publication you are from?)” After she replied, the actor mockingly told her, ”BBC News”. He the went asking her, ”Abhi toh aapke bhi kuch chal raha hai na aaj kal…uska kya? Pehle woh jawab do (I think something is going on with your company these days. What about that, you tell me first).”

RK’s words left everyone in the room in splits and even some fans praised him for witty replies like Shah Rukh Khan. One of the users commented, “Bhai savage.” Someone else also said, “Epic especially the last one when he questioned the reporter.”

”kahan puch rhe hain yeh question..wo banda 450cr ki Brahmastra dekr baitha hai,” commented another user.

The London-based news organisation BBC which is popular worldwide for its unbiased reporting came under scanner earlier this month after the Income Tax Department of India conducted a survey operation at their offices in Delhi and Mumbai as part of an investigation into alleged tax evasion.

Relevant to mention here that BBC has released a documentary on PM Modi earlier and it was opposed by the BJP.

Talking about Ranbir Kapoor, his movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar will be released on March 8 this year. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the film has Shraddha Kapoor as the female lead alongside Dimple Kapadia, Boney Kapoor, Anubhav Singh Bassi and Rajesh Jais in key roles.

Hyderabad: Doodhbowli area is the epicentre of bad roads, filth

Hyderabad: The government’s claims of development work in the old city proved to be hollow. After expanding roads and digging for a new pipeline of water and drainage the debris was left on the road resulting in traffic accidents.

Usually before Eid and festivals, the work of repairing and cleaning the roads is taken up, but the Doodhbowli area of the old city remains dirty and the non-cleaning of the debris has led to increased public problems.

According to local people, the civic authorities did not carry out the cleaning work despite Shab-e-Meraj and Shivaratri. Dirty water from drainage is continuously flowing and waterlogging in the potholes causing accidents.

It is said that repeated representations were made to the concerned MLA and corporator regarding repair of roads and cleaning of debris, but no one paid attention. Doodhbowli cross road is the busiest area and the negligence of the municipality in this area has become a source of trouble for the people.

Customers are facing problems due to non-cleaning of debris in front of the shops. Many areas of the Charminar constituency are deprived of basic amenities. Non-cleaning of debris after digging roads has resulted in fatal traffic accidents during the night hours.

Due to garbage and waterlogging on the roads, mosquitoes are breeding which is likely to result in the spread of various diseases. The locals have appealed to Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao to visit the area to take stock of the problems and provide relief to the people.

Hyderabad: Within a month from the launch of the much-awaited Vande Bharta train, a passenger posted a video online portraying bad quality food being served on the train.

The video was reportedly shot on a Vande Bharat Train that proceeded from Vizag towards Hyderabad, where a passenger is seen squeezing oil out of a dumpling from his breakfast meal he availed at the train.

A journalist on his Twitter account posted a video of the scene, stating, “No quality in meals provided to passengers on VANDHEBHARAT train, a little oil squeezed out of vada incident in the train coming from Vizag to Hyderabad, passengers are afraid to eat breakfast. They say that the food quality is bad.”

However, IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) in response to the video stated that they have initiated a corrective measure into the matter.

“Sir, concerned official has been informed for corrective measures,” their reply on the Twitter post read.

While the citizens have been adoring the travel in the newly launched trains, on one hand, incidents of ignorant services on the same have started levelling up on the internet.

Recently, images of garbage on the Vande Bharat Express evoked reactions on Twitter where several condemned the littering inside the express train.
