Heart-wrenching videos have emerged post the two devastating earthquakes that struck Syria and Turkey on Monday, February 6, leaving tens of thousands dead.
In another video clip that emerged rescue teams can be seen pulling a little girl from the arms of her deceased sister under the rubble of their home in the city of Afrin, north of Aleppo, in Syria.
The clip indicated that the child kept holding her sister’s hand and embracing her to protect her from the rubble until she breathed her last.

It is noteworthy that despite the continuation of the search for survivors under the rubble of the devastating earthquake, the hopes of finding survivors eight days after the disaster have begun to diminish.
The number of victims rose to nearly 35,000 on Sunday, amid warnings from the World Health Organization of an imminent danger threatening more than 5 million people due to the earthquake.
The United Nations Deputy Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Martin Griffiths, feared that the death toll in the two countries would exceed 40,000.
Hyderabad: The Warangal centre of Oasis Fertility recorded the birth of the first CAPA IVM (drug-free IVF) healthy baby in India on February 1.
CAPA in vitro maturation (IVM), a unique technique, being offered by very few centres in the world is the latest addition to traditional infertility treatment practices.
The CAPA-IVM treatment involves fewer hormone injections than traditional IVF, at a significantly lower cost.
Oasis is reportedly the only centre in the country to have expertise in CAPA IVM.
Clinical head and fertility specialist at the centre, Jalagam Kavya Rao said, “CAPA IVM or drug-free IVF is a groundbreaking technique and it is a boon to women with PCOS, thrombophilia, resistant ovary syndrome, oocyte maturation problems and women who have cancer and need immediate treatment.”
“We need everyone to understand that there are exclusive treatment options for every infertility issue and IVF is not the only one. CAPA IVM is less invasive and more economical,” added the doctor.
People should overcome their fears and embrace parenthood through assisted reproduction technology if they are unable to conceive naturally, urged Dr Kavya.
The technique is a boon to women with PCOS, Thrombophilia, Resistant ovary syndrome, Oocyte maturation problems, and women who have Cancer and need immediate treatment.

SRINAGAR: Paramedics in the Keran area of north Kashmir’s frontier Kupwara district have managed a delivery of a baby without a gynaecologist, in a 3 Idiots style. Both mother and baby are safe.
Quoting Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kralpora Dr M Shafi news agency KNO reported that on Friday, an expecting mother from the Kalas Keran area with labour pain was brought to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Keran where there was no gynaecologist posted.
“We tried to shift the patient to Kralpora but the inclement weather didn’t allow us to do so,” he said. “Even due to continuous snowfall, we were unable to take the patient to any other hospital.”
Given the circumstances, the BMO said the gynaecologist of Kralpora PHC motivated the paramedical staff at PHC Keran through a WhatsApp call and asked them to manage her delivery.
The staff was earlier a bit reluctant; however, after motivating them, they managed the delivery quite normally, he said.
Both baby and mother are fine and have been discharged, the BMO said. “This is not the first time that we have managed the emergency patients in this way and Keran being at high altitude faces such issues frequently.”

Miraculous Rescue In Turkey, Baby Found Alive In Rubble After 128 Hours
A two-month-old baby was yesterday rescued from under the rubble in Turkey’s Hatay as the crowd clapped and cheered. The child was found alive nearly 128 hours after the earthquake.
Thousands of rescue workers are still scouring through flattened neighbourhoods despite freezing weather that has deepened the misery of millions now in desperate need of aid.
Among those who were rescued five days after the quake are a two-year-old girl, a six-month pregnant woman and a 70-year-old woman, Turkish media reported.

Turkey: 17-year-old Boy Takes THIS Extreme Step to Survive Under Rubble for 94 Hours
A 17-year-old boy is sharing his story of survival after spending 94 hours trapped in rubble in the wake of the devastating earthquake that rocked Turkey early Monday.
Speaking via FaceTime from his hospital bed in Gaziantep, Turkey, Adnan Muhammet Korkut told ABC News he was asleep in his family’s home when the quake hit, and he then “got into the fetal position.”
While he was trapped, the teenager said that he drank his own urine and ate his family’s flowers to survive. “I set the alarm on my phone for every 25 minutes so I wouldn’t go to sleep. After two days, the battery went dead”, Korkut said.
As the rescue operation was going on, Korkut said, “I was hearing voices, but was worried they couldn’t hear me. I was afraid that I might get crushed during the rescue efforts. Thank you to the people who came and saved me”, the report added.
Many stories of the victims and survivors are making the headlines and garnering the netizens’ attention towards the horrible situation in the earthquake-struck region.
A toddler on Thursday was rescued after 79 hours from the rubble of a building that collapsed in Turkey’s southern city of Antakya. Footage from Turkey’s Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) also showed how rescue workers looked into a narrow opening in the debris and pulled out the two-year-old.
28,000 deaths, 6,000 buildings collapsed, hundreds of aftershocks – Turkey has been reeling under the aftermath of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck on Monday. But in the midst of destruction and despair, miraculous tales of survival continue to emerge.
