Summer can be brutal in Hyderabad, as Tollywood’s leading actor Mahesh Babu knows all too well. In previous years, he avoided filming during the hottest months in order to spend time with his family.
This year, however, he has begun his summer vacation even earlier by spending 12 days in the lovely city of Paris. According to reports, the superstar is still not ready to begin filming for his upcoming film, “SSMB 28,” even after returning to Hyderabad.
Wondering why? Well, Mahesh Babu reportedly avoids working in the intense heat of the summer months.

It is being sair that Mahesh Babu is planning another vacation and will wait for the temperatures to drop before returning to work.
Fans of the actor may have to wait a little longer for him to return to the big screen, as production on “SSMB 28” is currently on hold.
Nonetheless, it’s admirable that Mahesh Babu prioritizes his health and well-being despite his hectic schedule. After all, a rested and rejuvenated superstar is bound to bring his A-game when he returns back to the sets.

Mumbai: Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is all set to release on the eve of Eid. One of the top popular actor in India, Jagapathi Babu plays the role of the prime antagonist in Farhad Samji’s film. As the movie is talked about everywhere, Jagapathi revealed in an interview recently that Salman Khan was initially hesitant about hitting him on the sets.
Yes, in an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Jagapathi Babu said, Salman makes everything simple. He said that Bhaijaan guides everyone on the sets and no one feels intimidated by him at all because he doesn’t make you feel that way.
The report in the HT quoted him saying about Bhaijaan, ”He makes it so simple. He guides you. You don’t feel intimidated by him at all because he doesn’t make you feel that way. In fact, we were supposed to have a fight (scene) but due to covid and dengue, we couldn’t, bad luck.”

”There was no reservation regarding the role. Bhai wanted me to dye my hair black and look younger. This is because he has this logic and said ‘I can’t fight a person who is older than me.’ So. we had to do that and nothing else. It wasn’t a reservation but something that the character needed, ‘he added.
Talking about how he became part of the film, Jagapathi Babu said that Gunjalkar who is with Salman Khan is a major instrument for it. He further said that he doesn’t see much of a difference between the South and Bollywood film. He said, “I really didn’t find much of a difference honestly. It was cooler…there was no pressure at all, like money pressure, and budget pressure. It went smoothly. I can’t generalise and say that for all Bollywood (films) but only for this project.”
Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is set to hit the screens on April 21, Friday on the occasion of Eid this year.

Jailed in Elgar Parishad case, Dr Hany Babu to get honorary doctorate

Nagpur: Former Delhi University associate professor Dr Hany Babu, an accused in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case and currently lodged in a jail in Navi Mumbai, is set to get an honorary doctorate degree from a university in Belgium, his wife has said.
In a release issued on Thursday, Hany Babu’s wife Jenny Rowena said he will be awarded the honorary doctorate from the faculty of Arts and Philosophy of Ghent University, Belgium on Friday.
Hany Babu was arrested in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case in July 2020. He was the 12th person to be arrested in the case. The case relates to the Elgar Parishad conclave held in Pune on December 31, 2017.
Pune police had alleged that provocative speeches there led to caste violence at Bhima Koregaon war memorial located near Pune city the next day, and the Parishad itself was backed by Maoists.
“The faculty of Arts and Philosophy of Ghent University, which nominated Dr Hany Babu’s name to the executive committee, justified its nomination by pointing at his efforts to safeguard the importance of academic freedom and his commitment to language rights and equal access to education for minorities,” his wife stated in the release.
The diploma and the epitoga will be given during a ceremony on the university’s ‘Dies Natalis’ or Anniversary Day on March 24, she said.
Dr Hany Babu’s promoter Dr Anne Breitbarth, Associate Professor of Historical Linguistics at the German section of the Linguistics Department at Ghent University will receive the badges of honour in place of Hany Babu and the same will be handed over to him as soon as circumstances permit, she said quoting a university representative.
Apart from Hany Babu, six other researchers and scholars from the US, the UK, Canada, Austria and Netherlands are also being awarded honorary degrees on the same day by Ghent University, it said.

Hany Babu is currently lodged in Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai.

Mumbai: One of the most loved couples in tinsel town, South superstar Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata Shirodkar wished each other in an adorable way on their 18th anniversary.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Mahesh posted a throwback picture with Namrata. He Captioned the frame, “Us… A little crazy & a whole lot of love! 18 years together and forever to go! Happy anniversary NSG.” In the picture, Namrata and Mahesh were all smiles. Namrata replied to his hubby’s post saying, “And I love you too …”
Namrata took to Instagram to treat her fans with another mushy picture of them. It’s a throwback picture as well. In the frame, Namrata is giving a peck to his hubby, who seems sleepy. Namrata wrote in the caption, “Celebrating 18 years of the best decision we ever made. Happy anniversary MB.”
Maheep Kapoor, the wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor, wished “Happy anniversary” on Namrata’s post.
Mahesh and Namrata are parents to son Gautam Ghattamaneni and daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni. The couple posts lovely family pictures from their vacations.
On the work front, Mahesh Babu has collaborated with director Trivikram after 12 years. Previously, the actor and the director collaborated on blockbuster hits ‘Athadu’ and ‘Khaleja’.

Pooja Hegde will share the screen space with Mahesh Babu in the new film. This marks her second collaboration with the ‘Spyder’ actor after their 2019 blockbuster hit ‘Maharashi’.
