SRINAGAR: Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand is inviting applications for a fully funded Doctoral Scholarship for the year 2023.
The University offers around 110 scholarships in the field of Architecture, Business and Government, Design, Education, Engineering, Health, Humanities, Law, Music, Technology, and Science.
Eligible candidates need to have a strong academic record and a record of publications in outstanding journals reflecting candidates’ experience and education.
The documents required for the scholarship include a CV/resume, academic transcripts, Reference letters, and a Personal statement.
Selected candidates will be provided with a full tuition fee and an additional annual stipend of 29,000 USD (2, 38,000 INR).
The scholarship application deadline is for three rounds each year, i.e. March 1, July 1, and November 1.

National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) It is implemented by the Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue the study at secondary stage.
Scholarship of Rs. 12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) per student is awarded to selected students every year for study in classes from IX to XII in State Government, Government aided and local body schools. There is quota of scholarships for different states/UTs. Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- are eligible to avail the scholarships.
Applicable only for the meritorious and needy students of India, this NMMS scholarship scheme expects all the applicants to fulfil the eligibility conditions mentioned below in order to be eligible for the selection test conducted to award the scholarship.
The candidates who wish to apply for this MCM scholarship must be regular students studying in class 8 after getting clear promotion from class 7 with a score of at least 55% or equivalent grades.
The candidates must be pursuing education from Government/Local Body/Government-aided schools.
For continuation of scholarship in higher secondary school, the candidate must score at least 60% marks in class 10 board exam.
For continuing the scholarship in class 12, the scholarship awardee must get clear promotion from class 11 in the first attempt itself with a score of 55% marks or equivalent. For students belonging to SC/ST category, a relaxation of 5% is given in marks.
The candidates’ annual family income should not be more than INR 3.5 Lakh.
Also, those students who are enrolled in NVS, KVS, Sainik schools and private schools are not eligible for this NMMS scholarship.

The candidates are advised to follow the below steps for filling of On-Line Application Forms for KUET (Kashmir University).
Step-1: Visit http://www.kashmiruniversity.net or www.kashmiruniversity.ac.in and click on Link Admissions. Read Important Instructions for Registration and Submission of Form carefully before proceeding further.
Step-2: Candidate needs to register himself/herself before submitting the Online Application Form. For Registration with the System Click on the “Register as Student”. Remember, the Username and Password for future reference.
Step-3: After successful Registration, login into the system for submitting On-line Application Form.
Enter your “Registration No.”and Click “Next”.
Step-4: Enter the required details and Upload your latest passport size Photograph and click “Next”.

SRINAGAR: The registration process for Schmidt Science Fellowship offered by University of British Columbia, Canada has commenced. The University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada is offering fellowships to all Domestic and International students for the academic year 2023-2024.
UBC sponsored Schmidt Science Fellowship offers $100,000 stipend to selected applicants. Fellows are also supported to pursue postdoctoral study on full time basis for at least a year in a renowned laboratory in fields that may be different from the pre-existing field of their expertise. Fellows are also given the chance to attend 4 residential global meetings for which a period of 5 weeks is reserved from the fellowship year.
The fellowship extends to the fields of Computer, Natural Sciences, Engineering and Mathematics. SRINAGAR: University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea is inviting scholarship applications from International students for various courses for the year 2023-2024. The deadline to apply for the scholarship for International Students is May 17, 2023. Candidates interested in taking up Masters, PhD courses or MS leading to PhD in UST, South Korea can avail fully funded scholarships which will cover all studies related expenses over the course of their degree with the University.
UST Scholarships are available for students from all nationalities for almost all major courses in various fields of study.
The scholarship offers university entrance fee reimbursement, complete tuition fee, medical benefits, accident insurance coverage, counseling, overseas training exchange program, and Korean Language course fee in addition to a monthly stipend of KRW 1,200,000 for Masters Courses and KRW 1,600,000 for PhD courses.
Students can pursue courses in UST for fall 2023-2024 in the fields of Art, Science, Engineering and IT. Applicants seeking admission must have completed their qualifying exams before August 2023 to be eligible for the scholarships.

India has announced that restoration of e-Visa facility for citizens of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) with immediate effect.
The announcement was made on Twitter by the Embassy of India in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
“The Embassy is happy to announce that the facility of e-visa has been restored for the nationals of Saudi Arabia with immediate effect in all five sub-categories i.e e-tourist visa, e-business visa, e-medical visa, e-medical attendant visa & e-conference visa,” embassy tweeted on Thursday.

In 2019, India launched e-Visa service for the citizens of Saudi Arabia. Although it was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It should be noted that it is necessary to submit the application and pay the fees at least 4 days before the date of travel and await approval.
