JKBOSE Announces Date Sheet For 10th,11th &12th Exams

Srinagar, Feb 10: Jammu and Kashmir Board of State Education announced date sheets for conduct of annual/regular examinations for classes 10th, 11th and 12th.
The Board authorities issued three separate notifications, copies of which lie with GNS.
The exams for Class 10 are scheduled to begin from March 03, 2023 (with different Vocational Subjects) and will end on April 05, 2023 (Social Sciences’).
Similarly, the exams for Class 11 are scheduled to begin from March 06, 2023 – for Faculty of Science, Arts and Home Science – and will end with papers for Faculty of Science, Arts and Home Science on April 19, 2023.
For Class 12, the exams will be starting on March 03, 2023 – for Faculty of Science, Arts and Commerce – and will end with papers for Faculty of Science and Arts and Home Science on April 02, 2023.

‘Not freebies but social security’, Gehlot announces Rs 25L healthcare scheme, OPS

Jaipur: After presenting the state Budget and announcing sops for the public, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Friday that the schemes announced are part of social security, and not freebies, as he announced old pension scheme (OPS) for almost all the serving and retired employees in the state.
The Chiranjivi Yojna healthcare scheme has been increased to Rs 25 lakh per family and it is for every citizen of the state which will be available in empannelled private hospitals, Gehlot said.
“People understand that this is not for elections,” Gehlot said.
The Chief Minister said the aim of the government is to provide social security and that is why LPG cylinder will be provided for Rs 500 which will benefit 76 lakh families.
The children of Covid victims will get government jobs when they attain the age, the CM said.
The state government also announced free electricity of 100 unit to all domestic consumers.
“My focus is on people, not elections,” he said.
The Budget also announced relaxation on other taxes and stamp duty, including relaxation in electricity duty on solar energy from 60 paise per unit to 40 paise per unit. This will also benefit net metering consumers on residential buildings along with other consumers.

One-time tax on four-wheeler diesel vehicle has been reduced by 2 percent to make it at par with petrol vehicle.
The Budget announced 10 percent reduction in tax on stage carriage buses running on rural and other routes in Rajasthan, along with exemption of motor vehicle tax on city/urban bus service on new or retrofitted CNG buses.
It announced increase in exemption from 5 percent to 10 percent per year on vehicles registered in other states and assigned in Rajasthan.
Requirement of furnishing tax clearance certificate (TCC) every time for transport vehicles in the state will be done away with, he announced.
Facility for e-licence and e-registration certificate will be created which will remove the requirement of the fee of Rs 200 for smart card, the CHief Minister said.
Also, full exemption on interest and penalty on outstanding demand computed till December 31, 2022 along with 50 percent rexemption on the original demand was also announced, which can be availed till June 30, 2023.

Lava announces new 6GB variant of ‘Blaze 5G’ smartphone

New Delhi: Domestic smartphone brand Lava on Friday announced the launch of a new 6GB variant of its ‘Blaze 5G’, after the success of the smartphone’s 4GB variant.
The new Blaze 5G 6GB variant will go on sale at a discounted price of Rs 11,499 on February 15.
However, the price will increase to Rs 11,999 from February 16 onwards, the company said in a statement.
It will be available on e-commerce platforms — Lava E-store and Amazon.
The Blaze 5G comes with a glass back design in two colours– Glass Green and Glass Blue.
It is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and sports 6GB+3GB additional virtual RAM and 128GB ROM for a lag-free user experience.
“Blaze 5G 6GB features a 50 MP AI triple rear camera with EIS support and 2K video recording along with various camera features such as Beauty, HDR, Night, Portrait, Macro, Pro, UHD, Panorama, Slow Motion, Filters, GIF and Timelapse,” the company said.
The device also features an 8MP front camera with a screen flash for selfies and comes with a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display along with a 90 Hz refresh rate.

Moreover, it features a 5,000 mAh battery and also provides side mounted fingerprint unlock.

Boney Kapoor announces biography on late wife, legendary actress Sridevi

Mumbai: Filmmaker Boney Kapoor on Thursday announced the biography of his late wife and legendary actress Sridevi titled ‘The Life of a Legend’.
He took to social media to make the announcement.
Boney said: “Sridevi was a force of nature. She was the happiest when she shared her art on screen with her fans but she was also a fiercely private person.”
The book is penned by Dhiraj Kumar who the actress considered family.
“Dhiraj Kumar is who she considered family. He was a researcher, writer & columnist. We are happy that he is writing the book that befits her extraordinary life.”
The book draws a complete portrait of Sridevi, the quintessential superstar who has an unmatched career in Indian cinema. She worked in over 300 films across 50 years in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.

Telangana announces India’s first new mobility focussed cluster

Hyderabad: Telangana today announced India’s first new mobility-focused cluster, Telangana Mobility Valley (TMV), at the first edition of Mobility Next Hyderabad Summit – part of the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week, to further accelerate the growth of sustainable mobility in India.
Sharing the details of the TMV, KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT E&C, MA&UD and Industries & Commerce, in his inaugural address, said, “Telangana Mobility Valley will create best-in-class infrastructure making Telangana the most competitive destination for both manufacturing and E R&D in India.”
“TMV aims to attract investments of around Rs 50,000 crore and generate more than 4 lakh jobs in the next 5 years. For this, the State is developing 4 Mega clusters in and around Hyderabad- EV Manufacturing cluster in Zaheerabad, an EV Manufacturing cluster in Seetharampur, Energy storage system (ESS) cluster in Divitipally and Innovation cluster at Yenkathala.
Each of the clusters will be equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure to reduce the cost of operations for their tenant,” the Minister added.
Rama Rao said, “Further, investments aggregating Rs 3,000+ Cr are in advanced stages and will be announced in the next 2 weeks. These investments will further strengthen Electric 3-wheeler, Electric 2-wheeler and charging equipment manufacturing ecosystem in Telangana.”
“TMV aims to facilitate companies across all segments of sustainable mobility including Electric 2Wheelers/ 3 wheelers/ 4 wheelers, Advanced Cell Chemistry and Hydrogen fuel cells, Tier 1 and Tier 2 Component manufacturers and Auto Engineering R&D companies among others,” the Minister added.
Rama Rao said that the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week would be held regularly to foster collaboration by bringing together the thought leaders, experts, and global automotive ecosystem players to chart a course for sustainable mobility.
As part of the event, the State also announced three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) — ATS-TUV Rheinland MoU with Telangana Government; Bosch Global Software Technologies MoU with BITS Hyderabad, and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge’s (TASK) MoU with Shell.

Delivering the keynote address, Hizmy Hassen, Chief Digital Officer, Apollo Tyres Ltd, said, “The E-Mobility Week along with other investments by the Government of Telangana is another show of great public sector commitment.
The broader automotive industry should take advantage of these incentives and excellent infrastructure to accelerate sustainability in mobility. The industry needs to come together along with policymakers towards the common goal of making it more sustainable for decades to come.”
Talking about the future of sustainable mobility, Christian Cahn von Seelen, Executive Director, Sales, Marketing & Digital, Volkswagen Group India, said, “Sustainable mobility is achievable through the right cooperation between all stakeholders, including the supportive government policies in India.
The G20 presidency of India offers a huge opportunity and there is a strong drive from various industries to address the challenges of climate change. With hard work and dedication, we can remain optimistic and see the realization of sustainable mobility in the future.”

Stalin announces relief to farmers affected by unseasonal rains

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday announced relief of Rs 20,000 per hectare for the farmers of the delta region who have lost crops due to unseasonal rains.
Stalin made the announcement after getting feedback from the ministers and other bureaucrats who visited the rain-affected districts of Myladuthurai, Tiruvarur, Thanjavur, and Nagapattinam.
The relief package, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s office, includes Rs 20,000 per hectare of harvest-ready paddy to farmers who have lost 33 per cent of their crops in heavy rains. This is on the basis of the disaster management rules of the government.
The Chief Minister also issued orders to distribute 8 kg of crop seeds per acre at a 50 per cent subsidy to urad dal farmers who have lost their crops during the unusual rains in delta districts of the state and to undertake urad dal cultivation again.
The package announced by Stalin includes provision of paddy harvesting machines on rent at a 50 per cent subsidy to paddy farmers through the State Agriculture Engineering Department. The Chief Minister also directed officials to undertake additional crop harvest checks in villages.

Lenovo announces new laptop with ‘AMD Ryzen 3 7320U’ processor in India

Bengaluru: Global technology brand Lenovo has announced the launch of its new laptop powered with the ‘AMD Ryzen 3 7320U’ processor in the country.
The ‘IdeaPad 1’ comes in Cloud Grey colour and will be available at Lenovo Exclusive stores, Lenovo.com, Amazon and across large retail stores, from February 8 at a starting price of Rs 44,690, the company said in a statement.
“Powered by AMD Ryzen 3 7320U with integrated AMD Radeon 610M graphics, this laptop enables users to effortlessly multitask, attend online classes, interact with friends and stream their favourite shows,” it said.
The new laptop features a 15-inch Full-HD anti-glare display with up to 220 nits brightness and stereo speakers by Dolby Audio, allowing users to “enjoy an overall immersive viewing experience for watching videos or gaming”.
“Our latest IdeaPad is an affordable but power-packed device with an extended warranty and best-in-class performance, that helps people achieve their goals while they are working, studying, creating, or just catching up with friends out of town,” said Dinesh Nair, director of consumer business, Lenovo India.
The laptop also features an in-built 720p HD camera which comes with a physical privacy shutter that adds another layer of safety to the experience and blocks unintended onlookers.

The Treasury announced sanctions on Wednesday against 22 people it says have helped Russia obtain weapons and evade sanctions imposed on the Kremlin and its allies since its full-scale invasion of Ukraine almost a year ago.
The sanctions target the network’s leader, Russian arms dealer Igor Zimenkov, as well as his son and several members of their network, for supplying Russia with “high-technology devices.” Zimenkov and his associates have “been involved in multiple deals for Russian cybersecurity and helicopter sales” and maintain close relationships with the Russian arms exporter Rosoboronexport, according to the Treasury.
“Russia’s desperate attempts to utilize proxies to circumvent U.S. sanctions demonstrate that sanctions have made it much harder and costlier for Russia’s military-industrial complex to re-supply Putin’s war machine,” Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo said in a statement. “Targeting proxies is one of many steps that Treasury and our coalition of partners have taken, and continue to take, to tighten sanctions enforcement against Russia’s defense sector, its benefactors, and its supporters.”

Telangana: TSRTC announces discount for advance reservations

Hyderabad: The Telangana state road transport cooperation (TSRTC) has announced discounts for those who make advance reservations on bus travel.
If a reservation is made 31 days (a month) to 45 days in advance, 5 percent discount is given on the ticket. If a person books their tickets, 46 days to 60 days prior, 10 percent discount is granted. The announcement was made by TSRTC managing director VC Sajjanar on Wednesday.

On Monday, the TSRTC entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nalsoft for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation.
TSRTC is the first among all the State Road Transport Corporation undertakings in the country to commission and implement it, a release from TSRTC said.
The MoU was signed on Monday and exchanged between TSRTC and Nalsoft at Bus Bhavan here by TSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director V C Sajjanar and CA Venkata Nalluri, CEO of Nalsoft.
