    SRINAGAR: Anticipating a huge rush of visitors to the Tulip Garden, scheduled to be thrown open to public on Sunday, the Traffic Police City has issued a detailed advisory to the enthusiasts regarding their feasible route plan to avoid any inconvenience along the roads leading to the most sought after venue at the foothills of Zabarwan range.

    “To ensure convenience and smooth flow of traffic, one-way traffic shall be regulated initially from 19-03-2023 till 26-03-2023,” reads an official order copy issued by Srinagar Traffic Police.

    As per the advisory, people intending to visit the Tulip Garden shall adopt Lal Chowk-Dalgate-Boulevard/Gupkar Road to reach the garden. On their return, they shall adopt the Nishat-Foreshore-Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route to reach their respective destinations. Likewise, motorists intending to travel from Harwan-Shalimar-Nishat and other adjacent areas towards Lal-Chowk are requested to travel via Foreshore-Hazratbal route instead of Nishat-Boulevard road axis to reach their respective destinations.

    “Motorists intending to travel from Gulab Bagh-Zakoora-Naseembagh-Habbak and adjacent areas shall adopt Habak-Dargah-Khanyar route to reach Lal Chowk instead of Foreshore Road. Visitors are advised to park their vehicles only at designated parking places and avoid parking their vehicles on the roadside. Wrongly parked vehicles will be towed.”

    The available parking places are in front of Botanical Garden, Open land at Kralsangri, SKICC, Royal Spring Golf Course and LCMA Parking at Nishat.

    Hyderabad: Ahead of the holy month of Ramzan, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is going to issue guidelines and take special care of hygiene in the preparation of haleem in restaurants and hotels of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

    According to sources, a review meeting is being planned to be held in connection with the preparation and sale of haleem in the city and issuing special instructions and guidelines.

    In addition to ensuring special hygiene arrangements, owners of these hotels and restaurants will be urged to procure meat only through government-approved places to ensure that the meat consumed in hotels is good in quality and healthy.

    Last year too, the officials of the GHMC held a meeting with the hotel owners and issued the guidelines and it is being said that during the next week, GHMC officials will convene a meeting and issue guidelines and advise the hotel owner to avoid preparing haleem on the rooftops.

    Installation of fire extinguishers and proper parking arrangements are to be made mandatory around hotels during the month of Ramzan.

    Mumbai: Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekharan will head the Maharashtra state Economic Advisory Council (EAC) which also includes Karan Adani and Anant Ambani, a government resolution said on Monday.

    Karan Adani, the CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ Ltd, is the son of Gautam Adani, who is battling allegations of stock manipulation and fraud in Adani Group raised by Hindenburg Research. The Adani Group has denied the allegations, which created a political firestorm and eroded his networth.

    The Adani junior has been named as the expert on the ports and SEZ sector in the 21-member body.

    “An Economic Advisory Council as an Independent Body to advise the state government on economic and other related issues ,” the government resolution said.

    The council has domain experts from fields including textiles, pharma, ports, special economic zone, banking, agriculture, industries, engineering, and manufacturing.

    Hyderabad: Ahead of the Formula E-race tournament scheduled to take place on February 5, an advisory has been issued by the traffic department.

    The race begins at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road, and ends at HITEX Convention Center, at Cyberabad limits via Jubilee Hills Road No. 45 Cable Bridge.

    The route that the race cars will take is:

    People’s Plaza (Necklace Road) – IMAX Necklace Road Rotary – VV Statue, Khairtabad – KCP Junction- Panjagutta – NFCL – SNT Junction – Sagar Society – KBR Park – Jubilee Hills Checkpost – Road No.45 – Cable Bridge enter into Cyberabad limits.

    Citizens are requested to plan their travel accordingly. Following are the traffic diversions:

    1. Traffic coming from Nallagutta Junction will not be allowed towards Imax Necklace rotary and diverted towards Ranigunj and Buddha Bhavan.
    2. Traffic coming from Telugu Thalli/ BRK Bhavana necklace rotary will not be allowed when the rally is about to reach the rotary and diverted toward Iqbal Minar.
    3. Traffic coming from Shadan/Rajbhavan Road (Somajiguda road) towards Panjagutta will be stopped for few minutes to allow the rally to cross VV Statue junction.
    4. Traffic coming from Taj Krishna towards KCP will be stopped for a while at Mercure Hotel until the rally passes KCP Junction.
    5. Traffic coming from Monappa Island and intending to go towards NFCL will be stopped for a few minutes until the rally passes Panjagutta Junction.
    6. Traffic coming from Road No. 01 and intending to go towards Panjagutta junction will be stopped for a while until the rally passes the NFCL junction.
    7. Traffic coming from SNT/ Sagar Society and intending to take a right turn will be stopped at NFCL until the rally passes NFCL Junction.
    8. Traffic coming from SNT/ Sagar Society and intending to go towards KBR park will be stopped for a while until the rally crosses KBR Park.
    9. Traffic coming from Cancer Hospital/Orissa Island and intending to go towards KBR Park will be stopped at KBR Park junction until the rally passes KBR Park junction
    10. Traffic coming from Film Nagar/Journalist Colony will be stopped for a while until the rally passes Road No. 45 Junction

    Traffic congestion is expected at the following points in the city:

    1. VV Statue
    2. KCP Junction
    3. Panjagutta Junction
    4. NFCL Junction
    5. SNT Junction
    6. Sagar Society Junction
    7. KBR Park Junction
    8. Jubilee Check post
    9. Road No. 45 Junction.

    Citizens are requested to avoid the junctions and route and take alternative routes between 2 pm to 5:30 pm.

    Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions will be imposed around Hussain Sagar in the heart of Hyderabad from February 5 in view of the prestigious Formula E race to be held on February 11.

    Traffic will not be allowed on the Telugu Talli flyover to the Khairatabad flyover and Mint compound to I Max.

    Special Chief Secretary, of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Arvind Kumar, on Tuesday inspected the Formula E track along with officials, ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and Greenko Hyderabad E-Prix.

    The official said that the arrangements for the race are on track. He said partial closure of roads will come into force in the next few days, and appealed to people to take alternate routes until February 11.

    Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Tuesday discussed the security arrangements relating to Dr B R Ambedkar Secretariat Complex to be inaugurated on February 17 and the arrangements to be made for the Formula E race.

    She said the public should be informed about the alternative routes. Alternate routes should also be made ready to avoid delays in Secretariat works due to Formula E race.

    The meeting also decided to provide high-level security to the New Secretariat building to be inaugurated on February 17. She asked the Police, R&B, GAD, Telangana Special Police and IT departments to work in close coordination.

    Three companies of Telangana Special Police and 300 city police personnel will take care of the security of the Secretariat building. Security equipment like baggage scanners, vehicle scanners, body scanners etc has to be kept ready.

    The Secretariat complex which is spread over 28 acres has a built-up area of 9.42 square feet parking arrangements has provision to park 560 cars and more than 900 two-wheelers. Six Sentry posts have been set up around the Secretariat and 300 CCTV cameras have been installed to oversee the security arrangements.

    A special command control room has been set up to oversee the security arrangements. Monitoring of visitors will be done through Special identity cards. Two fire engines with 34 staff along with fire safety arrangements in the Secretariat building have been made.

    Special arrangements have been made for physically challenged people. Visitors will be allowed on all floors except the 6th floor. The Water Board has already arranged water supply while the sewerage works are in progress.

    Hyderabad: The city traffic police have issued an advisory for the ongoing construction work at the Amberpet flyover on NH-163.

    In a release on Sunday, the road from the Gandhi statue to Amberpet T Junction (near Sree Ramana) will be closed for 40 days from January 30 to March 10.

    Citizens are requested to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.

    District RTC buses and other heavy vehicles coming from Uppal towards 6 No. Junction should take a route via Habsiguda X Road – Tarnaka – Osmania Distance Education Road – Adikmet Flyover – Vidyanagar – Fever Hospital – Barkathpura – Tourist Hotel – Nimboliadda– Chaderghat.

    SRINAGAR: The Srinagar Traffic police on Saturday issued traffic advisory asking people to avoid certain routes while travelling in Srinagar tomorrow in view of Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra that is scheduled to enter the City.

    According to an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency KNO no traffic will be allowed from Pantha Chowk towards Dalgate.

    Motorists have been asked to use the NHW-Nowgam-Natipora-Nowgam-Sanatnagar-Hyderpora Bypass to reach their destinations.

    As per the order, in addition no traffic will be allowed from Kohnkhan Dalgate towards Pantha Chowk and motorists have been asked to use the Khonakhan-SRTC Bridge-Sangermal Road instead.

    “To reach their destinations, all motorists are advised to use the M.A Road/Residency Road/HSHS/Jahangir Chowk flyover-Rambagh-Natipora or Baghat-Sanatnagar route. Vehicles will not be allowed from Radio Kashmir, Konhakhan, Dalgate, Hotel Lalit, and Nishat towards Nehrupark, and from Brein Nishat towards Boulevard-Gupkar Road. Motorists will need to use the Nishat-Foreshore-Habbak route instead,” reads the order.

    As per the order general public and tourists have been advised to use alternative routes to reach the Srinagar International Airport to avoid any inconvenience.

    “Commuters are advised to plan their movements accordingly as the diversions will be in place on January 29. The road stretch from Pantha Chowk upto Dalgate, Dalgate upto Nishat via Nehru Park, Gupkar road have been declared as “No Parking Zones” and unattended vehicles parked on the roadside will be towed. Medical emergencies will be facilitated,” it reads.

    Hyderabad: The city traffic police have issued an advisory asking citizens to avoid getting stuck due to Republic Day celebrations at Parade Ground in Secunderabad on Thursday.

    The road stretch from Secunderabad Plaza to VV Statue Junction (Khairatabad) via Somajiguda junction will witness moderate traffic congestion from 6 am to 11 am.

    Raj Bhavan Quarters Road (Metro Residency) will be closed for general traffic on both sides during the above timings.

    Traffic congestion are expected at the following places – Plaza, CTO, Rasoolpura, Prakashnagar, Begumpet, Greenlands, Somajiguda Junction, Rajbhavan Metro Station, VV Statue Junction (Khairatabad), Telugu Thali Junction, Ravindra Bharathi, Abids GPO and MJ Market.
