Jammu And Kashmir service selection board has released Notice regarding Issuance of Admit Cards to the candidates for Computer Based Written Test (CBT) scheduled to be held w.e.f 16.03.2023 to 01.04.2023, for the post of Accounts Assistant (Finance), advertised vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020, under item No. 106.
Stepwise procedure to download JKSSB E-Admit Card:
To download E-Admit Card, first visit the official website of JKSSB, i.e., www.jkssb.nic.in.
On the homepage, there will be an option to download E-Admit Card.
On that page, click on the link/button – “LOGIN”.
Enter log-in credentials, i.e., Username and Password.
Username will be your Application ID & Password will be your DOB
in YYYYMMDD format.
On successful completion of above step, your basic details will be shown, kindly verify the
details, in case of any mismatch, please contact helpdesk via call or email.
Click on the ‘View and Print E-Admit Card’ button.
The JKSSB E-Admit Card will appear on the screen.
Note: The E-Admit Cards will be issued in two Levels:
● Level-1 City Intimation:- This E-Admit card will be issued 07 days before the exam
date to inform the exam city, exam date and exam time to the candidate.
● Level-2 Final E-Admit Card:- This Final E-Admit Card will be issued 03 days prior to the exam date, depicting the Exam Centre Name and Address.
● CANDIDATE MUST BRING THE PRINTED COPY OF THE LEVEL-2 E-ADMIT CARD ON THE DAY OF EXAMINATION.

WhatsApp bans 29 lakh accounts in India as country launches grievance panel

New Delhi: Meta-owned WhatsApp banned more than 29 lakh accounts in India in the month of January, a figure that is drastically lower than 36.77 lakh accounts it blocked in the country in December last year, in compliance with the new IT Rules 2021.
Between January 1 and January 31, “2,918,000 WhatsApp accounts were banned. 1,038,000 of these accounts were proactively banned, before any reports from users,” the company said in its monthly compliance report.
The most popular messaging platform, which has nearly 500 million users in the country, received 1,461 complaint reports in January in the country, and the records “actioned” were 195.
“This report contains details of the user complaints received and the corresponding action taken by WhatsApp, as well as WhatsApp’s own preventive actions to combat abuse on our platform,” said a company spokesperson.
Meanwhile, in a bid to empower millions of Indian social media users, Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, on Tuesday launched the Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC) that will look into their concerns regarding content and other issues.
The newly-formed panel, a move to strengthen the country’s digital laws to tame the Big Tech companies, will look into appeals by users against decisions of social media platforms.
The IT Ministry last month notified to establish three Grievance Appellate Committees (GACs) as required under the recently amended IT Rules, 2021.
In a major push towards an open, safe, trusted and accountable Internet, the Ministry of Electronics and IT has notified some amendments aimed at protecting the rights of ‘Digital Nagriks’.

Cattle scam: CBI traces 346 fake bank accounts used to divert crime proceeds

Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the multi-crore cattle smuggling scam in West Bengal has traced as many as 346 fake bank accounts opened in the name of third parties with a district cooperative bank in Birbhum for the purpose of diversion of the scam proceeds to different channels.
Sources said that during the course of investigation, it has also been revealed that these accounts were opened in the names of individuals coming from marginalised families in the districts whose identity proofs like Aadhaar card were collected assuring them of getting enrolled for different welfare schemes of the state government.
The CBI officers personally went to the residences of these individuals in whose names these accounts were opened and all of them informed the central agency that they had no knowledge of the existence of such bank accounts in their names.
These 346 accounts were detected by the CBI in three phases in the last few months. The CBI detected 177 such accounts in the first phase, followed by 54 in the second phase and 115 accounts in the third phase.
The manager of the district cooperative bank where such accounts were held was also questioned by the CBI, who admitted that he was forced to allow opening of such accounts following instructions from the higher authorities.
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress strongman and the party’s Birbhum district President, Anubrata Mondal, will be presented before a special CBI court in Asansol on Friday, where the central agency’s counsel is expected to present the details in this matter to the court.
Mondal is in custody as the prime accused in the cattle smuggling scam.
On Thursday, a CBI team went to the Asansol Special Correctional Home where Mondal is housed and questioned him in the matter. However, sources said that as usual, the accused did not cooperate with the agency and denied having any knowledge of such bank accounts.

Arrested Accounts Assistant Children’s Hospital Bemina Srinagar ‘Red-handed While Demanding & Accepting Bribe&#8217

Srinagar, Feb 13 (GNS): Anti-corruption Bureau on Monday said to have caught and subsequently arrested Accounts Assistant Children’s Hospital Bemina Srinagar red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe in tune of rupees 18000.
“Anti Corruption Bureau received a written complaint from Class-IV/MTS employees of Children’s Hospital Bemina Srinagar through their representative, stating therein that a fellow public servant working as Accounts Assistant at the said hospital is demanding bribe at the rate of rupees 3000 per employee for releasing 2-1/2 days allowance along with the salary in their favour”, maintained a Bureau statement issued to GNS adding the complainants were however, not willing to pay the bribe and approached Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagar for taking legal action against the accused public servant as provided under law.
“On receipt of the complaint a Case FIR No. 01/2023 U/S 7 PC Act 1988 was registered with PS ACB Srinagar and investigation taken up”, the statement reads.
“During the course of investigation a trap team was constituted by this Bureau. The team laid a successful trap and caught the accused public servant red handed while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of rupees 8,000 from the complainants. The money was recovered from the accused on spot. The accused has been identified as Mr. Nisar Ahmad Rather son of Ab Ahad Rather, a resident of Nowshera, Accounts Assistant.”
“Further investigation into the case is going on”, the statement read further. (GNS)

ACB arrests Accounts Assistant of Srinagar hospital for taking bribe of Rs 18 Thousand

Srinagar, Feb 13: Anti Corruption Bureau on Monday said it arrested an Accounts Assistant of Children’s Hospital Bemina for taking bribe of Rs 18,000 for releasing day allowances along with salaries in favour of his fellow employees.

According to a statement, issued to the news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a spokesperson said ACB received a written complaint from Class-IV/MTS employees of Children’s Hospital Bemina Srinagar through their representative, stating therein that a fellow public servant working as Accounts Assistant was demanding bribe at the rate of ₹3000 per employee for releasing 2-1/2 days allowance along with the salary in their favour.
The statement reads that the complainants were however, not willing to pay the bribe and approached Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Srinagar for taking legal action against the accused.
“On receipt of the complaint a Case FIR No. 01/2023 U/S 7 PC Act 1988 was registered with PS ACB Srinagar and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation a trap team constituted by this Bureau. The team laid a successful trap and caught the accused red handed while demanding and accepting bribe amount of ₹18,000 from the complainants.”
It added the money was recovered from the accused on the spot.
“The accused has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Rather son of Ab Ahad Rather of Nowshera. Further investigation into the case is going on,” it reads—(KNO)
