Hyderabad: Police nab 6 for beating a 16-year-old to death

Hyderabad: The Kulsumpura police, on Friday, arrested six men, including three rowdy sheeters, for allegedly beating a 16-year-old boy to death.
Baid Yogesh, Naigode Shankar, Ballem Sharath Kumar, Konde Varun Rao, Bodi Mahesh, and Kallukotala Raja Swamy were named by police as accused and were apprehended on Friday. Puranapool resident Akash, who is also named as an accused, is absconding.
Bhosle Deepak Kumar, 21, a food delivery person, was accompanied by Mohammed Sohail, 16, student, while walking to a petrol bunk for fuel on April 22 at 9:30 PM in Jiyaguda.

As the both were walking, they were approached by some five to six men, among them was Ballem Sharath Kumar, 19, who was acquainted with Deepak.
According to police, the men said that one Faizan has taken away a bike that belonged to Baid Yogesh, 21, a GHMC labourer to which Deepak replied that he was aware of the incident.
The men asked Deepak for the whereabouts of Faizan, when he informed them that he had no idea where Faizan was. Upon being enraged by the situation, the men allegedly abused both Deepak and Sohail verbally and forcibly took them to Tadban road, Bahadurpura on their two-wheelers.
They beat both Deepak and Sohail on the roadside and then at around 3AM the next day, they were taken to a graveyard in Kamela Market and were attacked with wooden sticks and stones.
At 7 AM they were taken to the Musi river behind a mosque at Patel Hotel and beaten.

Deepak and Sohail were shifted to the terrace of K-block building, GHMC colony, Jiyaguda at 7 PM on the same day, April 23. They were beaten again, with belts and wooden sticks.
Sohail lost consciousness when Naigode Shankar allegedly attacked him with a beer bottle. After sometime the accused had left the scene and the neighbours found the both on the terrace at 4AM the next day, April 24.
The police was informed about the incident and they were brought to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Sohail died while undergoing treatment.
Baid Yogesh, Konde Varun Rao and Kallukotala Raja Swamy are rowdy sheeters. Rao and Swamy were out on bail when they got involved in the present case.

Man arrested for murdering 16-year-old girl in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: One person has been arrested for allegedly killing a 16-year-old girl, said an official release of DCP, Shamshabad zone, Cyberabad.
According to the release of DCP, Cyberabad, the accused has been identified as Vishnu and the deceased as Kumari Konnuru Bharathi.
Detailing the incident, the release said, “On April 11, the deceased went missing from Madhura Nagar, Shamshabad and later her body was found on April 14 in open land near Madhura Nagar, Shamshabad in putrified condition.”

After receiving the information, the police started their investigation.
“Based on technical data, CCTV footage, and witnesses found during the investigation, accused Vishnu was apprehended from his village Palem of Wanaparthy District,” said the release.
The release mentioned that on further interrogation, the accused confessed his crime.
“On further interrogation, the accused confessed that the deceased was his niece and he fell in love with her. However, for the past four months, the deceased was avoiding him and was maintaining friendships with others, due to which he bore grudges against her and murdered her”, said the release.
The accused informed that on April 11, he called the deceased in an open land near Madhura Nagar and sexually assaulted her. Later he allegedly killed her by hitting a stone on her head, causing instantaneous death,” added the release.

After his confession, the accused was arrested by the police.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.

Biden calls 16-year-old shot in Kansas City

Yarl was released from the hospital Sunday and has since been recovering at home.
The White House said Biden “shared his hope for a swift recovery.”
Attorneys for Yarl’s family, Ben Crump and Lee Merritt, said Biden called Yarl and his family shortly before they learned of the charges being brought against Lester. The president “offered his prayers for Ralph’s health and for justice,” they said in a statement Monday evening.
“Gun violence against unarmed Black individuals must stop,” the lawyers said. “Our children should feel safe, not as though they are being hunted. While this is certainly a step in the right direction, we will continue to fight for Ralph while he works toward a full recovery.”
Vice President Kamala Harris voiced outrage over the shooting.
“Doug and I are praying for Ralph Yarl and his family as he fights for his life,” Harris wrote on Twitter on Monday. “Let’s be clear: No child should ever live in fear of being shot for ringing the wrong doorbell. Every child deserves to be safe. That’s the America we are fighting for.”

Hyderabad: 16-year-old hangs self to death in Narsingi college

Hyderabad: An intermediate first-year student died by suicide at a private college in Narsingi on Tuesday night under an alleged state of depression.
Following the death, a few videos purportedly related to the college came to light portraying corporal harassment.

Tension prevailed at the college premises post-incident and continued till Wednesday morning, with the deceased’s parents, relatives and student organisations staging protests by blocking the road near the college.
The student, S Swathik, 16 was pursuing his studies at Sri Chaitanya Kalasala college while staying in a hostel. He took extreme step due to alleged torture by college faculty.
Around 10.30 pm, the boy allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling fan in the classroom.
Though he was rushed to the hospital, doctors declared him bought dead.
Police have booked a case and initiated a probe into the matter after shifting the body to the Osmania General Hospital mortuary.
The family members of the student demanded justice.

Hyderabad: 16-year-old girl raped by two youths; Dabeerpura police books case

Hyderabad: In yet another rape case in Hyderabad, a 16-year-old girl become the victim of a sexual offense. She was raped by two youths including a minor.
As per the details of the case, a few days ago, a 16-year-old boy befriended the girl and later, asked her to come to a place in Mailardevpally, Hyderabad.
When the girl reached the place, the boy’s elder brother who is 21 years joined them. Later, both the boy and his elder brother allegedly raped the girl in a room on Friday.
She was reportedly confined in the room on Friday night. The next day, she was allowed to go back home.
Though the youths threatened her from disclosing anything, the girl gathered courage and informed her parents.
After knowing about the heinous crime, the parents decided to approach the police and lodge a complaint against the youths.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the youths. They were booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act as the girl is a minor.
Though Dabeerpura police registered the case, later, it was transferred to Mailardevpally police station.

16-Year-Old Boy Commits Suicide

SRINAGAR: A 16-year-old boy has allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death in Batapora locality of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said here on Friday evening.
Quoting an official the news agency KNO reported that a boy (name withheld) hanged himself to death at his residence in Sangrampora Batapora area of Sopore town.
They said that he was rushed to SDH Sopore where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, a police official told KNO that they have taken the cognizance of the incident and started the further investigations into the matter.
