SBIF ASHA Scholarship Programme Opens, Apply Now

SRINAGAR: State Bank of India Foundation (SBIF) is inviting applications for the SBIF ASHA scholarship program 2023 under its education vertical – Integrated Learning Mission (ILM).

Under the program, students in their first year of undergraduate courses from reputed NIRF universities/colleges and IITs, MBA/PGDM from IIMs, and PhD from recognized universities/institutions, can avail monetary benefits amounting up to INR 5 lacs for one year.

Candidates pursuing the first year of their respective courses can apply to the scholarship. The applicants must have minimum 75 per cent aggregate marks in their qualifying exams, whichever applicable for their applied course. The total annual income of the applicants’ family from all sources must be below INR 3 lacs. Candidates from PAN India are also eligible to apply.

The scholarship provides benefits of up to INR 50,000 for UG courses, up to INR 3,40,000 for IIT students, up to INR 5,00,000 for IIM students and up to INR 2,00,000 for PhD courses for one year.

The candidates are required to submit the mark sheet of their qualifying examination/previous academic year, a government issued ID card, current year proof of admission, bank account details (candidate or parent), Income certificate and passport size photograph of the applicant.

The deadline to apply for the program is April 30, 2023. An initial shortlist will be released based on the applicants’ financial background and academic merit followed by a telephonic interview and document verification for final selection.
