JAMMU: In a recent update from the Controller Exams, it has been clarified that the interim relief provided by the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) is restricted to only eight petitioners and not for any other candidate. This news comes as a relief to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) as it had been facing uncertainty over the conduct of the mains exam for the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE).

Earlier, a few candidates had approached the CAT seeking a stay on the JKPSC mains exam, which was scheduled to begin on February 20, citing discrepancies in the results of the preliminary exam. The CAT had then granted interim relief to the petitioners and directed the JKPSC to not declare the results of the preliminary exam until the matter was resolved.

However, with the recent clarification from the Controller Exams, it has been made clear that the interim relief is only for the petitioners and not for any other candidate. This means that the JKPSC mains exam will proceed as per schedule from February 20, The exam will be conducted in various centers across Jammu and Kashmir.

Candidates who are appearing for the JKPSC mains exam have been advised to follow all the guidelines issued by the JKPSC regarding the exam, including carrying a valid photo ID proof. The JKPSC has also advised candidates to check the official website for any further updates regarding the exam.
