Jammu, September 9, 2023 – In response to a complaint filed with the Anti Ragging Helpline, University Grant Commission, Net Bureau -1800-180-5522 the Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences ( ASCOMS ) and Hospital has taken decisive action against a final year student accused of ragging a fresher causing mental harassment to the said student by taking him in his room and besides introduction and other things has also beat him for none of his fault.
Mr. Murtaza Sayed Badoo, Roll No. 52 Batch 2019, has been placed under immediate suspension pending an inquiry.The said Final Year student is barred from attending classes, sitting in the examination and from all academic privileges till further orders.
In a statement released by the Director Principal ASCOMS Jammu, it was emphasized that any form of ragging is strictly prohibited within the institution. The accused student is prohibited from attending classes, sitting for examinations, and availing any academic privileges until further notice.
