Srinagar, March 15: A policeman died of gunshot injuries in Hiller area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Wednesday.
A police officer told GNS, the selection grade constable of IRP 18 Battallion namely Umer Farooq of Poonch district was found dead with gunshot wounds.
He was immediately shifted to GMC Anantnag hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
When asked if it could be a case of suicide, the officer said that investigation are on and details will be shared after it.(GNS)
