Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif has arrived in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt to participate in the “Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit”
The Prime Minister was received at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport by high level Egyptian officials, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Egypt and officials of Pakistan embassy in Egypt.
The “Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Implementation Summit” is taking place as part of the 27th UN Climate Change Conference
.The Prime Minister will also co-chair, along with his Norwegian counterpart, a high-level roundtable discussion on “Climate Change and the sustainability of vulnerable communities” on Tuesday.
He will participate in other high-level events as a speaker, including the UN Secretary General’s roundtable to launch the ‘Early Warning Systems for Executive Action Plan’, and the ‘Middle East Green Initiative Summit’ tomorrow, being hosted by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders on the margins of the summit.

TRAFFIC POLICE HEADQUARTERS, J&K, JAMMU/SRINAGAR
1. Truckers upto ten Tyre are advised to use Mughal road for movement from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa-versa.
2. From 05-11-2022, 1700 hrs. to 06-11-2022, 1700 hrs. Jammu Srinagar NH 44 remained blocked for 01 hour 03 mins due to a fruit Loaded truck breakdown on middle of the road at Kunfer Nallah (Chanderkote), blocked for 40 mins at Wagon due to earth cutting by CPPL. C-N Tunnel closed for 56 mins and NAVYUG Tunnel closed for 02 hrs 22 mins by Tunnel authorities, making the total blockage of 05 hrs,01 mins. There was breakdown of 06 HMVS at various locations on NH-44.
3. There will be no maintenance/repair day on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumriroad in view of winter season.
4. HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.
TRAFFIC PLAN & ADVISORY FOR 07-11-2022: Subject to fair weather and road clearance, LMVs Passenger/Private Cars shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW viz Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing this traffic.
CUT OFF TIMINGS FOR LMVS/PASSENGER/PRIVATE CARS: –
To be released from Nagrota (Jammu) from 0800 hrs. to 1100 hrs. from Jakheni (Udhampur) 0900 hrs to 1200 hrs & from Qazigund 0800 hrs to 1100 hrs.TCU Jammu and TCU Srinagar will inform all concerned about the traffic advisory and cut off timings. No vehicle shall be allowed to move before and after cut off timings.
HMVs/Load Carriers: –
Subject to fair weather and road clearance, HMVs shall be allowed from NAVYUG Tunnel towards Jammu after assessing the road and traffic situation on NH-44. TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the HMVs.
SFS Convoy Movement: –
Security Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/ traffic plan in view of possible traffic congestion because of narrow carriage way between Nashree and Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. Tomorrow they may ply from Srinagar towards Jammu after confirming the status of NHW from TCU Ramban.
SSG ROAD: –
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road shall be allowed from both sides viz Srinagar towards Kargil and vice-versa.In view of winter season/ frost on road, LMVs followed by HMVs shall be allowed from Minamarg towards Srinagar at 0800 hrs. to 1130 hrs. Similarly LMVs followed by HMVS shall be allowed from Sonamarg towards Kargil at 1300 hrs to 1700 hrs. No vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut off timings.
MUGHAL ROAD:
Subject to fair weather and good road condition, vehicular movement shall be allowed from both sides on Mughal road viz from Shopiantowards Poonch and vice versa.In view of winter season/frost on road, LMVs will be released from Behramgalla (Buffliaz), Poonch towards Srinagar and from Herpora (Shopian) towards Poonch at 0800 hrs upto 1600 hrs. However, HMVs will be released from Behramgalla, Buffliaz (Poonch) towards Srinagar at 0800 upto 1200 hrs. and from Herpora (Shopian) towards Poonch shall be allowed after the tail of up Convoy crosses Dubjan area and shall allowed upto 1600 hrs.
No vehicle shall be allowed before and after cut off timings.

NEW DELHI, Nov 6: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday hinted at the possibility of the Centre considering restoring state status to Jammu and Kashmir.
She dropped the hint while talking about the distribution of funds to the states by the Centre as per the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission.
Delivering a lecture on Centre-State relations here, Sitharaman said Prime Minister Narendra Modi without any hesitation had accepted the recommendation of 14th Finance Commission in 2014-15 that 42 per cent of all taxes– an increase from 32 per cent till then– should be given to the states.
“That Finance Commission said now you raise it to 42 per cent…which means that Centre will have a lesser amount in its hand. Prime Minister Modi, without a second thought about it, fully accepted the Finance Commission and that is why today states get 42 per cent of the amount–now reduced by 41 per cent because Jammu and Kashmir is no longer a state.
“It will soon become may be sometime…,” Sitharaman said in her lecture on “Cooperative Federalism: The Path Towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat” organised here by Bharatiya Vichara Kendram in memory of Sangh idealogue P Parameshwaran.
In August 2019, the central government abrogated Article 370 of the Constitution, which accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir, and bifurcated the state into Union territories. (Agencies)
