    BBC adds Salman Khan Cameo in its Modi Documentary to reach more people

    The Supreme Court said that it will list for hearing on February 6 a PIL challenging the “ban” on the BBC documentary ‘India: The Modi Question’. Earlier, the government had banned the documentary.

    Like SRK, BBC has been struggling to get audience for its documentary and after failing to make it a controversy ahead of 2024 general election, BBC too has decided to add Salaman Khan’s cameo in its documentary to make it reach wider audience.

    However, Salman Khan’s role in the documentary isn’t finalised yet but his picture with Modi flying kite is likely to be added in the documentary, reported Fauxy reporter in Godhara.

    Since the release of Pathaan which had only Salman Khan’s cameo as worth watching, Salman Khan has been keeping extremely busy.

    If sources are to be believed, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has requested Salman Khan to do a cameo during her Budget speech.

    India’s Gautam Adani, Asia’s richest man, faces possibly the biggest challenge of his career after a U.S. short seller, Hindenburg accused Adani conglomerate of stock manipulation and accounting fraud.

    Adani Group responded Hindenburg report with an over 400-page data, the group led by Gautam Adani called all the allegations “unsubstantiated” and “misleading”. 

    However, despite the response by Adani’s group, the investors remained apprehensive and Adani’s share price kept falling.

    Reportedly, in an hostile takeover, Adani Group has bought majority stake at Hindenburg Research company. This is the second hostile takeover by Adani Group after it took over its another critic NDTV.

    “After completing the formalities with SEBI and US’ Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) we will take complete control of Hindenburg Research and the story will be deleted” told Adani Group CFO to The Fauxy.

    Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback vehicle Pathaan releases in theatres on Wednesday. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham with Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia in supporting roles. The film is directed by Siddharth Anand. Visuals from theatres have surfaced that show fans screaming, shouting  and crying.

     

    One visual has come where a man can be seen beating his wives in theatre showing the Pathaan. The man has been arrested and sent to 14 days judicial custody by a court in Delhi.

     

    Speaking to The Fauxy, the man told that he was beating his wives to have 4D experience of Pathaan. Reportedly, the man had different image of Pathaan than shown in the movie. The man claimed that he experienced an adrenaline rush seeing the Pathaan written in big screen land hence started beating his wives.

     

    According to police, he showing no signs of being apologetic for beating his wives and defended himself saying that it’s an essential practice in his family.

    On Sunday, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnvis issued a statement to MMRDA to mandatorily play ‘Mood Banayela’ song in metro every hour to give the commuter a better experience of traveling. The ‘Mood Banaleya’ song is sung by Amruta Fadnavis.

     

    Opposition accused Devendra Fadnavis of nepotism by promoting his wife’s song, however, Devendra Fadnavis denied these allegations and said that the song is being played to avoid congestion in Mumbai Metro during its initial runs.

     

    Reportedly, the metro witnessed drastic reduce in number of commuters after ‘Mood Banaleya’ song being played but reduction in number of commuters can’t be directly correlated to the song, since it’s Sunday and real impact will be seen on Monday. Details awaited

    On Saturday, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued directions to block the first episode of the BBC Documentary ‘India: The Modi Question’ on YouTube, and other social media platforms. The social media platform Twitter was asked to block more than 50 tweets containing the links of the video on YouTube. However, by the time the direction to delete was issued, more than a lakh people had already watched the documentary.

     

    Ministry of Information and Broadcasting later issued another set of directions for people who have already watched the documentary. Ministry asks the people who have already watched the documentary to donate their eyes. The ministry used the emergency powers under the IT rules, 2021 to issue the directions.

     

    On the other hand, UK has condemned the banning of broadcasting saying are we living in North Korea or in world under a British rule?

    Critic of Govt economic policies, former Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Raghuram Rajan on Saturday called Indian Govt economic policies discriminatory. Raghuram Rajan’s statement came after International Monetary Fund (IMF) said that India will be a bright spot in global economy in 2023.

     

    Lauding India’s strong macroeconomic fundamentals, IMF said that India is in a better position to deal with the global headwinds.
