    DA Hiked By 4% For J&K Govt Employees, Pensioners From July 1

    The government employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance at a hiked rate of 38 percent, with an increase of four percent to the existing rate, with effect from July 1 this year.

    According to an order issued by the Secretary Finance Department, a copy of which lies with news agency GNS, the government employees working in regular pay levels under 7th Pay Commission recommendations, will be paid Dearness Allowance at a revised rate of 38 percent of Basic Pay from the existing 34 percent of Basic Pay. Revised rate will be effective from July 1, 2022, it added.

    “The term ‘Basic Pay’ in the revised pay structure means the pay drawn in the prescribed level in the pay matrix as per 7th Pay Commission recommendations but does not include any other type of pay like special pay etc,” the order reads.

    It further said that the arrears on account of additional installment of DA with effect from July, 2022 shall be paid in cash in two equal installments (one in the month of November, 2022 and other in the month of December, 2022) and shall form part of salary from November onwards.

    Regarding pensioners, a separate order of similar nature reads that the arrears on account of additional installment of DA with effect from July shall be paid in cash to Government Pensioners/Family pensioners in two equal installments (one in November and other in December) and shall form part of pension /family pension from November onwards. “Other provisions governing the grant of Dearness Allowance on pension/family pension such as the regulations of Dearness Allowance during employment Ire-employment, where more than one pension is drawn etc. and other provisions of the existing rules/orders(as are not in conflict with provisions of this order), shall continue to remain in force.”

    Writer, poet and agricultural policy scientist Shashank Kulkarni has been awarded PhD in Public Policy and Public Administration by the Central University of Jammu. The topic of his dissertation was ‘Policy Ecocide and National Policy for Farmers: A Case Study of Farm Suicide in Vidarbha Region of Maharashtra’. For this research, he got the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sanjiv Jain, Vice-Chancellor of the University and Prof. Dr. Ruchi Chaudhary, Head of the Department.

    Shashank Kulkarni is an internationally renowned Agricultural Policy Scientist from village Sakharale (Urun-Islampur) of Maharashtra. He is currently working as Faculty in the Department of Public Policy and Public Administration, Central University of Jammu. He was the founding scholar of the direct PhD program in the department. He has done important work as Senior Research Fellow of University Grants Commission. He has been honored by various countries of the world for his research and writing work.

    He has written more than ten books in Marathi, Hindi, English languages ​​on various subjects. He has written in various national and international research journals. He has played an important role in the establishment of Pujya Dwarkanath Shastri National Research Centre.

    He is also known as the founder of ‘Baba Laxman Das Rashtriya Smarak Nirman Seva Samiti’, an innovative social and spiritual movement of Jammu and Kashmir. He has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the famous Swahili University in South America in recognition of his fundamental research work in the context of India’s agricultural policy.

    Central Board of Secondary Education has declared CBSE 10th Compartment Result 2022. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check results on cbse.gov.in.Official Notice Exams for Class 10, Class 12, and Compartment 2022 were administered by CBSE from August 23 to August 29. Students who failed a subject or required a retake were allowed to show up for that subject (or subjects) in the compartment results. Results for Class 12 were released yesterday at 12:00. The results for Class 10 should be announced at the same time today.The Board has released marks verification, re-evaluation schedule for candidates who have appeared for the compartment examination. As per the schedule, the verification of marks registration will begin on September 12 and will end on September 13, 2022. The processing fee is ₹500/- per subject.The obtaining of photocopy of evaluated answer books will be done on September 19, 2022. ₹500/- is the processing fee per answer book. The re-evaluation process application will be conducted on September 23, 2022. The processing fee is ₹100 per question. Only those candidates who have applied for obtaining a photocopy of the evaluated answer book shall be eligible to apply for re-evaluation or challenge the marks awarded to any question.Only a single application for each step per candidate will be accepted in the online process.     India has issued a detailed advisory related to studying at Chinese medical schools as thousands of enrolled students continue to remain stuck at home amid the COVID-19 pandemic.More than 23,000 Indian students enrolled in various Chinese universities have been affected by the Chinese visa ban. “Embassy of India in Beijing has been receiving several queries from prospective Indian students and their parents with respect to seeking admission for undergraduate clinical medicine programme in China,” the embassy said in a statement on September 8.China in July said that the country has made progress on facilitating the return of Indian students and is working in tandem with relevant departments to see that the first batch of Indian students can come back to study in China at the earliest.The Indian Embassy also shared the link to a study conducted by the National Board of Examination to highlight that only 6387 out of 40,417 students, who appeared in the FMG Examination from 2015 to 2021 have cleared it.“The study shows that only 6387 out of 40,417 students, who appeared in FMG Examination from 2015 to 2021 have cleared it. Here, the pass percentage of Indian students who have studied clinical medicine programme in China in that period in these 45 universities was only 16 per cent,” it statement further added.Indian students pursuing medicine from Chinese Universities are unable to return to China to attend classes due to COVID-19-induced restrictions.Earlier, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in his meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting also stressed the need for expediting the process of return of Indian students to China to attend classes at an early date.In order to facilitate the return of Indian students, Jaishankar met with Wang Yi on March 25.Earlier in April, the Chinese side had expressed its willingness to consider facilitating the return of Indian students to China on a need-assessed basis, said the Indian Embassy in China.     According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several states along the west coast of India, southern and eastern parts of the country are likely to receive heavy rainfall over the coming few days

    Southern states of the country are expected to receive heavy showers till September 13. Isolated very heavy rainfall is also likely over Telangana on September 11. Heavy rainfall is predicted over the eastern and western states of the country during the next few days.
