SRINAGAR: A minor girl slipped into an irrigation canal in Perniya area of north kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
An official said that a girl while waiting for the school bus along LJHP canal slipped and fell into the canal.
The girl has been identified as Rukaya Bashir (14) daughter of Bashir Ahmad Ganaie resident of Nowpora Kreeri who is a student of 9th standard at Syed Sakhi Nowshera high school.
SDRF team has been informed and rescue operation has been started in the area, official said. (KS)
