Kolkata, February 26
Police on Friday recovered the body of a lady and arrested her husband when he was attempting to flee after dumping it close to Basanti Highway, an official stated.
Acting on info obtained from a patrolling group, the person, who was escaping in a automobile, was stopped at Jibantala and detained, he stated.
There have been blood stains on the car, the official added.
During interrogation, the person confessed about killing his spouse on Thursday night time and dumping her body, police stated.
The body of the lady has been despatched for autopsy and investigation is underway. — PTI
