The rising mercury is making new records in Jammu and Kashmir. The capital Jammu and Srinagar witnessed the hottest day of the season on Wednesday. The day temperature in Jammu rose by 3.0 degrees to 42.7 degrees Celsius, while it was 6.8 degrees above normal in Srinagar at 34.7 degrees Celsius. Along with the days, the nights are also getting hot. Day temperature is 6-8 degrees above normal in most districts of Kashmir and 3-5 degrees above normal in Jammu division.

According to the Meteorological Center Srinagar, the trend of hot winds will continue in Kashmir on Thursday as well, but on June 12-13, there may be relief with rain. During this time, a warning of wind speed of 30-40 km per hour has been given. The heat had started showing its colors in Jammu on Wednesday with the first rays of the sun. As the day progressed, the heat also increased. Everyone was troubled by the heat of the heat. Due to the scorching heat, the market has disappeared during the day.
