Ankara, April 7
A Turkish Air Force aerobatic jet crashed in central Turkey on Wednesday, killing its pilot, Turkey’s defence ministry mentioned.
The NF-5-type jet belonging to the Turkish Stars aerobatic crew, went down during coaching, close to the city of Karatay, within the central province of Konya. The reason for the crash was below investigation, the ministry mentioned.
Addressing members of his ruling occasion shortly after the crash, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan mentioned he was deeply saddened by the information and led a quick, silent Muslim prayer for the deceased pilot.
The crash left particles scattered throughout an empty area. Television footage confirmed authorities inspecting the location, surrounded by firetrucks, ambulances and different autos. — AP
