Soon, a certificate and diploma course of Hindi-English translation will start in the Hindi Department of the Central University of Jammu. University Registrar Dr. Ravi Kumar has issued notification to start translator course from academic session 2021.

The notification said that 50 seats have been kept in this course starting for the first time. Central University will conduct the entrance examination for admission to it. Admission will be given on the basis of merit list. The certificate course will be for six months and its fee has been fixed at five thousand rupees. At the same time, a fee of 8 thousand rupees will have to be paid for one year diploma course.

The university’s Dean Student Welfare and the Hindi Department’s Chairman Prof. Rasal Singh said that the role of languages ​​has increased more than ever between the process of global communication and cultural integration. The need for Hindi-English translators has increased after Hindi, Dogri and Kashmiri languages ​​have got official language status like Urdu and English. The aim of the department is to spread the Hindi language as well as provide employment to the local youth.
