“The Evolution of a Bird: Tracing Twitter’s Iconic Logo Journey”

One of the most significant social media sites in the world, Twitter’s logo is now a universally recognized representation of the digital age. The recognizable blue bird emblem has experienced slight changes throughout the years, representing the platform’s development and adjustment to the times. Recent changes to Twitter’s logo mark a new phase in the social media platform’s visual identity. This article examines the evolution of the Twitter logo and the importance of its most recent update.

“From Larry’s Sketch to the Blue Bird: The Origins of Twitter’s Logo”

In the beginning, co-founder Larry Bird drew a bird, which later served as the basis for the platform’s emblem. Larry the Bird, a straightforward, whimsy, and rather silly-looking bird, served as the company’s initial logo. This bird mascot represented the platform’s friendly and cheerful tone, reflecting Twitter’s early days when it served largely as a venue for exchanging brief and humorous messages.

“Refinement and Simplicity: The Iconic Blue Bird Takes Flight”

Twitter’s logo changed as it developed and gained popularity. The business made the decision to simplify its visual identity and chose a more elegant and understated interpretation of the bird. Larry the Bird was replaced as the official logo by the renowned blue bird. Its color scheme and layout perfectly encapsulated Twitter’s core as a universal, approachable, and dynamic platform that facilitated cross-border communication in real time.

“A Dynamic Identity: Tweaking the Logo for Versatility”

Twitter realized it needed a logo that would work in a variety of digital settings and devices. The business unveiled a more adaptable version of the logo that makes it simple to scale and use across various devices and screen sizes. This action highlighted Twitter’s dedication to maintaining its relevance and brand recognition in the rapidly evolving digital environment.

“The New Logo: An Evolutionary Leap Forward”

Twitter shows that it is prepared for the future with the release of its most recent logo makeover. The new logo incorporates small improvements that give it a contemporary and fresh look while still paying homage to the classic blue bird. The bird is depicted in the logo in a more graceful, slightly abstract form while yet maintaining its clean, simple shape. The visual design of Twitter has been updated to reflect the platform’s continual development and transition.

Mumbai: T-Series Productions and Retrophiles’s upcoming mythological film ‘Adipurush’ which is based on the Hindu epic Ramayana has landed into controversy before its release. Helmed by Om Raut, the film stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan along with Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage in supporting roles. The trailer of the movie was released yesterday on the 9th of May.

Moments after the release of the trailer of the movie, various orthodox Hindu organisations and a few politicians opposed it. The movie is currently trending on Twitter and some of the netizens are either seeking a ban on the movie or demanding changes.

Expressing his disagreement with the makers of the movie, the head priest of Ram Temple in Ayodhya Satyendra Das said, “The way in which Ravana has been depicted is absolutely wrong and condemnable. Through the media, we demand an immediate ban on the film.”

    MS Education Academy

He further said Om Raut does not show Lord Rama and Hanuman as mentioned in the epic either and hence goes against their dignity.

Satyendra Das is not only the person who seeks ban on the movie but BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj also said that the film makes a mockery of Hindu deities.  He said, “Raavan looks like a Muslim invader in the film while Hanuman`s image has been distorted beyond recognition which is highly condemnable. Filmmakers think they can get away with any level of cinematic liberty. This cannot be permitted.”

Apart from priests and politicians, netizens too slammed the makers of the movie. One of the Twitter user wrote, ” They have turned the chapter of Ramayana upside down and shown the form of Hanuman and Ram in such a bad way..#BoycottAdipurush.” ”Hanuman ji ‘s looks in  Adipurush looks more like designed by Abdul. intentionally make bad movies related to our dharma so that they fail at the box office, another user tweeted.

A third user Tweeted, ”I will not watch this movie, none from my family and friends will watch this mockery of Shri Ram, Shri Sita and Shri Hanuman. #BoycottAdipurush.”

Well, it seems that the movie may fall prey to the Boycott trend. What is your opinion about the movie, do let us know in the comments section and check out the more tweets below.

  • ‘Jawan’ fame director Atlee confirms name of his baby boy after SRK revealed on Twitter

‘Jawan’ fame director Atlee confirms name of his baby boy after SRK revealed on Twitter

    [ad_1]

Mumbai: ‘Jawan’ director Atlee who was blessed with a baby boy this year, on Sunday, finally revealed the name, a day after SRK shared that he met the little munchkin.

Taking to Instagram, Atlee dropped a picture with his wife Priya and baby boy from their visit to the temple.

Sharing the picture, he wrote, “Yes the name is MEER. Very happy to be revealing our little angels name.”

    MS Education Academy

As soon as the name was revealed, the director’s fans and industry friends chimed in the comment section.

Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu wrote, “Congratulations darlings.”

Kajal Aggarwal commented, “Lots of love to all three of you!!! Big hugs to baby Meer.”

On Saturday, during the #AskSRK session on Twitter, when one of the fans asked about a specialty of Atlee that he enjoyed the most, the King Khan responded, “”@Atlee_dir is very dedicated and smart. Also now he has such a lovely baby Meer and Priya feeds me very good food. #Jawan.”

After being in a relationship for years, Atlee and Priya tied the knot in 2014. And the duo welcomed their baby boy on January 31, 2013.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Atlee shared a couple of pictures and announced ‘it’s a boy’. He wrote in the caption, “They were right. There’s no feeling in the world like this. And just like that our baby boy is here! A new exciting adventure of parenthood starts today! Grateful. Happy. Blessed.”

South director Atlee is known for films like ‘Raja Rani’, ‘Their’, ‘Mersal’, ‘Bigil’.

‘Jawan’ has put the spotlight on him as Shah Rukh will be acting in the movie.

The film was earlier slated to hit the theatres on June 2 this year but the makers have now decided to shift the official release date.

The actual reason for the postponement of the film is still not known.

The film is billed as an event film with high-octane action sequences. Shah Rukh’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment has produced it.

In June 2022, SRK unveiled the film’s teaser which opened with a glimpse of the Northern Lights over mountain tops. We saw Shah Rukh with his face in the dark, wrapping bandages on his face as the film’s theme music played in the background.

The film also stars South actors Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles.

The actor also hosted an ‘Ask SRK’ session on Twitter after announcing the release date of ‘Jawan’ on Saturday. From Abram’s reaction to the poster of ‘Jawan’ to fans’ request to release the movie at the earliest…SRK answered all in his inimitable style.

  • ‘One of the best superhero movies ever’: can The Flash live up to the Twitter hype?

‘One of the best superhero movies ever’: can The Flash live up to the Twitter hype?

    [ad_1]

What a difference a few months makes. Talk as recently as September was that Andy Muschietti’s The Flash might be scrapped due to the legal and reputational difficulties faced by star Ezra Miller. Flash forward to the present day, and it is being called one of the greatest superhero movies of all time following a screening for press and cinema owners at Las Vegas’ CinemaCon this week.

Let’s just put that into perspective. According to the assembled geekerati (who have only been given permission to tweet at this time), this is a movie that might just be up there with The Dark Knight, the original Superman, Black Panther, Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. And it’s made not by all-conquering Marvel but Warner Bros-owned DC.

This is the studio that gave us the original Suicide Squad movie, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, all films that made even comic book fans wonder if they actually liked superhero films. It arrives with a new regime at DC Studios, led by former Marvel man James Gunn, with the promise that it will reset the DC multiverse in a way that allows us to forget everything we’ve seen before. Or at least, all the stuff Gunn doesn’t fancy moving forward with.

this is truly one of the best superhero movies ever. believe the hype. oh my god. #TheFlash

    — Matt Ramos (@therealsupes) April 26, 2023

THE FLASH: far more madcap than I expected. Really nailed what reading a 5-issue crossover comic book is like. Tons of Ezra Miller being zany and time paradox stuff. Nerds will lose their minds at the ending. And beginning and middle. Comics!

    — Jordan Hoffman (@jhoffman) April 26, 2023

The Flash is loosely based on the seminal Flashpoint comic book run, which saw Barry Allen waking up in an alternate reality where Superman is a frightened weakling, Batman is Thomas Wayne (Bruce’s dad) and the Amazons and Atlanteans are destructive forces who seem to be engaged in perpetual war. While Muschietti’s film is likely to cherry-pick from its source material, we do know that Miller will play two versions of The Flash (in the comics, the second Flash was the Reverse-Flash: in the film it will be a Flash from an alternate timeline). Michael Keaton will return to the role of the caped crusader, and so will Ben Affleck, while Sasha Calle is reportedly a revelation as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl.

A new trailer, released this week with impeccable timing, shows us that the new film will see Allen “breaking the universe” and changing the past. It’s likely there will be ramifications for DC that go way beyond what we’ve yet seen in advance publicity. Frankly, this looks epic!

Yup. #TheFlash is as good as rumored. It’s Back to the Future meets Spider-Man: No Way Home with all the humor & heart of the former and action and surprises of the latter. If anything, it might be a tad too ambitious but it’s also just incredibly satisfying, heartwarming & fun. pic.twitter.com/Yysb9mjiAm

    — Germain Lussier (@GermainLussier) April 26, 2023

#TheFlash is massively entertaining! Extraordinarily funny, but still has solid emotional stakes. It’s one of the better multiverse movies out there.

Tons of fun surprises. A genuinely superb superhero movie – one of the best in a long time! Very, very satisfying. #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/zRa1Xzl79l

    — Daniel Howat (@howatdk) April 26, 2023

#TheFlash is pretty great, and it makes sense to me now why DC didn’t shelve this one. Michael Keaton is … chef’s kiss. I didn’t realize how much I needed Keaton’s Batman in my life again. Some really emotional moments here. Sasha Calle is awesome – I want to see more of her! pic.twitter.com/2DYhSKMfyI

    — Jenna Busch (@JennaBusch) April 26, 2023

The wonderful thing about multiverse movies is that they are primed and ready to explain away all kinds of superhero universe bad planning (of which there has been a lot at DC since 2013’s Man of Steel ushered in the Zack Snyder era) as simply the result of clashing alternate timelines. Moreover, if the new Supergirl does end up wowing audiences, or Michael Shannon’s General Zod gets the opportunity to shake the DC foundations that he should have received a decade ago, there is ample opportunity to bring them back in future episodes. Rumour is this will be Batfleck’s final turn in the cape and cowl, but if he’s well received – well there’s no reason that has to be set in stone. Perhaps that skulking, meat-headed guy with the guns from Dawn of Justice was just a bad Bruce Wayne from another universe where everything’s back to front and audiences love to turn up in their gazillions to watch really terrible movies.

There are other reasons to be cheerful here. If the hype turns out to be true, The Flash may just present a much-needed blueprint for how to represent Batman (Batmen?) in ensemble comic book movies, a feat that nobody has ever really successfully achieved before (with the possible exception of Snyder’s director’s cut of Justice League). Now all we need is for Robert Pattinson’s dark knight to turn up, and it could be time to really get this superhero party started.

  • Facebook, Twitter to face new EU content rules by August 25

Facebook, Twitter to face new EU content rules by August 25

    [ad_1]

    facebook

The world’s largest social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, TikTok and others will have to crack down on illegal and harmful content or else face hefty fines under the European Union’s Digital Services Act from as early as August 25.

The European Commission today will designate 19 very large online platforms (VLOPs) and search engines that will fall under the scrutiny of the wide-ranging online content law. These firms will face strict requirements including swiftly removing illegal content, ensuring minors are not targeted with personalized ads and limiting the spread of disinformation and harmful content like cyberbullying.

“With great scale comes great responsibility,” said the EU’s Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton in a briefing with journalists. “As of August 25, in other words, exactly four months [from] now, online platforms and search engines with more than 45 million active users … will have stronger obligation.”

The designated companies with over 45 million users in the EU include:

    — Eight social media platforms, namely Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Snapchat;

    — Five online marketplaces, namely Amazon, Booking, AliExpres, Google Shopping and Zalando;

    — Other platforms, including Apple and Google’s app stores, Google Maps and Wikipedia, and search engines Google and Bing.

These large platforms will have to stop displaying ads to users based on sensitive data like religion and political opinions. AI-generated content like manipulated videos and photos, known as deepfakes, will have to be labeled.

Companies will also have to conduct yearly assessments of the risks their platforms pose on a range of issues like public health, kids’ safety and freedom of expression. They will be required to lay out their measures for how they are tackling such risks. The first assessment will have to be finalized on August 25.

“These 19 very large online platforms and search engines will have to redesign completely their systems to ensure a high level of privacy, security and safety of minors with age verification and parental control tools,” said Breton.

External firms will audit their plans. The enforcement team in the Commission will access their data and algorithms to check whether they are promoting a range of harmful content — for example, content endangering public health or during elections.

Fines can go up to 6 percent of their global annual turnover and very serious cases of infringement could result in platforms facing temporary bans.

Breton said one of the first tests for large platforms in Europe will be elections in Slovakia in September because of concerns around “hybrid warfare happening on social media, especially in the context of the war in Ukraine.”

“I am particularly concerned by the content moderation system or Facebook, which is a platform, playing an important role in the opinion building for example for the Slovak society,” said Breton. “Meta needs to carefully investigate its system and fix it, where needed, ASAP.”

The Commission will also go to Twitter in the U.S. at the end of June to check whether the company is ready to comply with the DSA. “At the invitation of Elon Musk, my team and I will carry out a stress test live at Twitter’s headquarters,” added Breton.

TikTok has also asked for the Commission to check whether it will be compliant but no date has been set yet.

The Commission is also in the process of designating “four to five” additional platforms “in the next few weeks.” Porn platforms like PornHub and YouPorn have said 33 million and 7 million Europeans visit their respective websites every month — meaning they wouldn’t have to face extra requirements to tackle risks they could pose to society.

    Twitter to prioritise ‘verified’ accounts

    [ad_1]

New Delhi: Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday said that verified accounts on the microblogging site will now be prioritised.

“Verified accounts are now prioritised,” he tweeted.

This development might give special attention to people who have had their accounts verified.

    MS Education Academy

For instance, if your account is verified, people looking at Twitter are more likely to see your posts.

Last week, Musk removed all legacy verified accounts with Blue check marks.

American actor Charlie Sheen publicly begged Musk to return his blue Twitter check mark.

Sheen, like thousands of others, lost his official verification badge after a site-wide purge of legacy verified accounts.

He was among the ones who refused to pony up for Twitter Blue – Musk’s $8-dolllar-a-month subscription service.

However, Sheen’s blue check was soon restored.

Amitabh Kant, the former chief executive officer of NITI Aayog, also lost the Blue Tick on Twitter.

Earlier, it was said that Twitter will not remove verified status from the government accounts and accounts being run by government officials.

Kant’s Blue Tick has not yet been restored.

Moreover, Twitter’s ongoing Blue Tick saga took yet another twist later, as many influential and famous users have had their blue checks restored by Musk, despite not subscribing to the service.

Numerous influential and well-known Twitter users globally have had their Blue verification badges reinstated next to their usernames.

Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has a savage response to the verified tick mark of a few Twitter accounts getting restored for free.

The micro-blogging website has restored the blue tick verification for accounts with more than one million followers on the platform, but Amitabh, who has a whopping 48.4 million followers, paid for the subscription.

Now, he has asked the platform in a hilarious way about why he had to make payments despite having such a huge following on the website.

    MS Education Academy

Amitabh tweeted: “Are maare gae Gulfam, biraj me maare gae Gulfam. Ae Twitter mausi, chahchi, beheni, tai, bua… jhauaan bhar ke ta naam hain tumhaar.”

He added: “Paise bharwa liye hamara neel kamal khaatir. Ab kahat ho jekar 1 m follower unkar neel kamal free ma. Humar to 48.4 m hain, ab? Khel khatam, paisa hajam?”

It was just last week, when the micro-blogging website took away the blue marks from several verified accounts.

Big B gave it his own spin and asked about not getting the tick mar despite payment. A day later, when it was restored, he thanked Twitter and even wrote a song for Elon Musk, with a sprinkle of humour.

Musk’s wealth nosedives $12.6 bn after chaos at SpaceX, Tesla, Twitter

    [ad_1]

San Francisco: Elon Musk saw his wealth plummet by more than $12 billion in just a day as he faced chaos and disappointing news from across his companies — SpaceX, Twitter and Tesla.

According to Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, this was the biggest drop in Musk’s wealth so far this year.

Tesla’s share price fell by 9.8 per cent after disappointing first quarter results.

    MS Education Academy

Tesla’s operating income decreased 24 per cent to $2.7 billion in Q1 2023 as the Elon Musk-run EV maker continues to cut prices of its vehicles.

On the same day, SpaceX’s integrated Starship spacecraft experienced a “rapid unscheduled disassembly” four minutes into its first test flight.

SpaceX’s giant Starship rocket exploded after its launch from the US state of Texas on Thursday.

The rocket got off the launch pad in SpaceX’s Starbase in South Texas but exploded minutes later. The spacecraft failed to reach orbit.

Twitter also went into chaos after Musk removed legacy Blue check marks, leaving hundreds of celebrities in the doldrum.

Musk still remains the world’s second-richest person despite this latest tumble in net worth, behind French tycoon Bernard Arnault, reports The Verge.

Musk’s fortune once sat as high as $320 billion in late 2021. Later, he became the first person in history to lose over $200 billion.
