More than a third of Spaniards (35.2%) still never or almost never read, although the number of non-readers has been reduced in the last ten years. In contrast, 68.4 of those over 14 years of age read a book in the past year. Women continue to read more, there are more children and adolescents reading and the traditional bookstore
