Hyderabad: In Islamic marriage, the consent of both partners is necessary for conducting Nikah. This requirement is rooted in the teachings of the Prophet, who emphasized the importance of mutual consent in marriage.
The Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) said, “The widow and the divorced woman shall not be married until she has consented and the virgin shall not be married until her consent is obtained.”
The Prophet also revoked the marriage of a girl who complained to him that her father had married her against her wishes.

In Indian law, too, the consent of both partners is mandatory before performing a marriage. Any use of force is illegal, and the marriage can be declared null and void if either party did not give their consent.

Mufti Anas reveals how he convinced Sana Khan for Nikah

Mumbai: Former actress Sana Khan and Mufti Anas Saiyad got married on November 20 in 2020. Before, Sana Khan was associated with the entertainment industry and was one of the popular young actresses. However, she decided to quit the glamorous world in October 2020 and chose to marry Anas. In a recent interview, the couple shared details about their love story, including how Anas proposed to Sana and won her heart.
Before marriage Mufti Anas used to call Sana Khan his sister and the duo had never imagned that they would become life partners. Yes, Mufti Anas in an interview on the YouTube channel recently, opened up about his love story with Sana Khan. He said that he used to address Sana as ‘baji’ (which means sister in English) before proposing to her.

He said, “Sana was very famous. At the same time, people in the industry said she prays five times a day. Many of her friends in the industry used to say that she is not made for there. I met Sana in 2017. Then, when I first spoke to Sana, I said ‘Baji kya haal hai? At that time I didn’t know that she was going to become my wife in destiny.”

Sana Khan and Anas first met in Mecca in 2017, but their interaction was brief as Anas was introduced to Sana as an Islamic scholar. Anas was smitten by the actress and got her number from a common friend, but despite texting her, Sana did not reply for three days. Later, during Ramadan in the same year, Sana messaged Anas for something she needed to ask. However, after a few days, Anas messaged Sana multiple times, only to be eventually blocked by her. Speaking about the same, Anas said, “When Sana had to ask something, she used to unblock me and then block me, and this continued till 2017.”
Finally, Sana Khan agreed to marry Mufti Anas two years after he proposed to her. Sana Khan is currently seen preaching Islam on her Instagram account.

An ideal nikah in Jodhpur sets example for Muslim community

Hyderabad: A marriage solemnised in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has become an example for the country, especially for Muslims. Educationist and Maulana Azad University Chairperson Mohammad Atique’s granddaughter Khadijah’s marriage has given the message of simplifying marriages while avoiding any expenses.
Moreover, instead of spending money on marriage, the chairperson of Maulana Azad University has decided to set up Ummul Momineen Hazrat Khadijah Charitable Trust, Jodhpur in the name of her granddaughter Khadijah. The daughter of Abdullah Omar Khadijah will be the chairperson of the trust. This trust provides scholarships to poor and needy children for their educational well-being.
Muhammad Atique, chairperson of the university and vice president and CEO of Marwar Muslim Educational and Welfare Society, said that Prophet Mohammed pbuh had declared the best nikah as one in which the minimum expenditure was incurred. In order to spread the message of this hadith to every household, he arranged Khadijah’s marriage programme in the mosque of Darul Uloom Arabia Islamia in the evening according to the Sunnah.
Khadijah bint Abdullah Umar was married to Masnun Ali Hasnain bin Muhammad Hussain Ghauri in the presence of Qazi Wahid Ali and all his friends and relatives. He further said that with the aim of preventing female foeticide in the country, ending the discrimination between boys and girls, giving daughters rights in ancestral property and ending the evils spread in the society like dowry, he conducted this nikah keeping alive the 100-year traditions of his family.
Despite being financially strong, food was not served after marriage following the Islamic tradition, however, guests were served with dry dates and fruit cream.
Guests congratulated the bride and groom for a new happy life. Banners with educational messages were displayed at Darul Uloom. The ceremony was attended by city MLA Manisha Panwar, Prof. Ayub Khan, Leader of Opposition Ganpat Singh Chauhan, former Additional Divisional Commissioner Aslam Mehar, Maulana Azad University VC Dr. Jamil Kazmi, Registrar Anwar Ali Khan, Society President Mohammad Ali Chand, General Secretary Nisar Ahmed Khilji, Treasurer Ata-ur-Rehman Qureshi, Social Activist Sandeep Mehta, Shaukat Ansari, Barkat Khan Nasrani, Saleem Panwar, Ismail Baig, Bashir Ahmad Chishti, Advocate Barkat Khan Mehar, Prof. Abdul Hai, Councillor Danish Faujdar, Councillor Shaheen Ansari, representative Rafiq Ansari, many members of the society, many dignitaries from all communities including staff members were present in thousands. Hafiz Abdul Kareem Nadwi performed the khutbah-e-nikah.
