    SRINAGAR: A boy and a girl jumped in river Jhelum in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, however, the girl was rescued immediately, while search for boy was on.

    Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that the duo jumped in the river Jhelum this afternoon.

    He said the girl was rescued immediately, while search to trace the boy was going on.

    A rescue operation was initiated at Dewan Bagh foot Bridge, near Gulnaar Park, in Baramulla soon after news about the drowning of the duo spread in the area.

    Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident.

    SRINAGAR: A 56-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Noorbagh locality of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

    Quoting officials news agency KNO reported that the man hanged himself to death at his residence in Noorbagh.

    They said that he was rushed to SDH Sopore where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.

    They added that police have taken cognizance of the incident and started further investigations.

    SRINAGAR: A man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday afternoon, an official said here.

    Quoting an official the news agency KNO reported that a man allegedly committed in Sadura area of Anantnag.

    He said the train was coming from Banihal to Baramulla, when the man jumped in front of it.

    Man Jumps In Front Of Moving Train, Loses Both Legs

    SRINAGAR: A man lost both of his limbs after ‘attempting suicide’ on coming on tracks of a moving train in Sadura area in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said.

    Quoting officials news agency GNS reported that a man ‘jumped in front’ of a moving train, on way from Banihal to Baramulla, near Sadura, resulting in him losing both his limbs.

    The official identified the person as Mohammad Ashraf Itoo a resident of Gopal Pora Mattan.

    The police has taken cognizance of the incident for necessary investigations.
